Chapter Forty-Three- Home

*waves as if she hasn't been absent for days*

"More to your left! No, you dumbass, your other left!" I shouted, wanting to pull my hair out in frustration. I was drenched with sweat, and every bone in my body was sore, but I knew it would all be worth it.

"It's heavy, Yoongi!" Jungkook whined while trying to make a painting straight on the wall.

I sighed before clearing my throat. "That looks pretty straight. Hang it up, please, Kook. Tae should be here in a minute to finish helping."

Jungkook's demeanor changed when I mentioned Taehyung was coming to help. He hurried to hang the painting up, checking many times to ensure it was straight and sturdy on the wall, before hopping off of the couch with a smile on his face.

I tossed him a bottle of water before we both plopped down onto the couch cushions, wiping our sweaty brows.

"I think it's turning out great, Yoon." Jungkook sighed after taking a sip of the water.

"Do you think he'll like it?"

Jungkook scoffed. "This is the absolute definition of gay, he'll love it."

His comment made me laugh, but what made me laugh even more is when Taehyung walked in wearing a rainbow sweater.

"Here, let me help you," I demanded, gripping tightly onto Hoseok's frail body, guiding him into the wheelchair.

"Thank you, Yoongibear." Hoseok pulled me down for a quick kiss before pulling back and pulling the mask back around his mouth. "Let's get out of here."

It's been a month since Hoseok woke up. There are no new tumors, and his body seems to be accepting the transplant Jimin so kindly gave him. The doctors had finally agreed to letting Hoseok go home, given proper precautions. He was scheduled for a new PET Scan in a few months, but otherwise was only responsible for his medications and preventing any infections, hence the mask covering his mouth.

I pushed the wheelchair out of the glass sliding doors, seeing Jungkook parked in the horseshoe drive. He waved, hopping out of the car and opening the car door for Hoseok, while I helped him out of the wheelchair. His body was still weak from the chemo and the other treatments. He was able to walk on his own, but only for short periods of time, otherwise he would have difficulty breathing. I vowed to help him with whatever he needed to help him get better and heal properly.

Jungkook pulled out of the hospital parking lot. I smiled when I heard Hoseok audibly sigh next to me.

"How does it feel, babe?"

He turned to me and smiled wide. "It's the best feeling in the world."

"What is this place?" Hoseok questioned as I guided him out of the car. His eyes traveled across the brick exterior, a sparkle in his eyes.

Neither Jungkook or I answered, only helped him walk up the steps and into the building. His smile grew wider as we lead him down the entryway and into the living room, where the kitchen overlooked with the help of a bar counter top. The kitchen had white cabinets, with black cabinets for the island, and a light gray and white granite counter top. Purple bar stools sat underneath the bar area, connecting to the living room, which housed two white sofas, a baby blue rug underneath a black coffee table. On the sofas sat a couple of pink pillows, and the windows held soft yellow curtains. Above one of the sofas was a large photo of Hoseok and I, the only picture we had of us kissing, before he got sick. Taehyung had taken it without our knowledge.

Hoseok wiped a tear from his eye as he stood in shock.

"Baby, I know how much you loved the apartment that you lived in, but with the amount of steps required to get up to it, I didn't want to worry every time you were home. So, I used the bonus money I received from BigHit and put it towards a down payment on this beautiful home. It wasn't quite enough, so I decided to sell my tattoo parlor. It's ours, baby, if you want to live here with me." I held out a hand, which contained a key, decorated with yellow sunflowers.

Hoseok stood with his mouth agape, streaks of tears on his cheeks. Jungkook stood awkwardly in the background, waiting for Hoseok to give an answer. I could tell the youngest was as anxious as I was.

"I-I know this is a huge shock, and I'm sorry for doing this, but I would love to get to wake up and fall asleep next to you every single day, and I want to come home from work to find that you fell asleep on the couch while a K-drama plays on the television. I want to have you come home from your day at the shop smelling of flowers, and maybe even with a flower or two in your hair. I want all of these things and more with you."

"Y-Y-You sold your tattoo parlor for this?" Hoseok's voice was a little shaky, and very quiet.

I nodded, swallowing harshly. "I wasn't doing anymore tattoos anyways since I started at BigHit."

Hoseok took a small step forward and engulfed me in a hug. His tears soaked through my shirt, and his tight grip probably would lead to a few small bruises, but none of this mattered in the moment. Hoseok was here, alive, and in my arms, in our brand new home.

"I love you so much, Min Yoongi, you have no idea." Hoseok pulled back, grabbing the key out of the palm of my hand, wasting to time to put it on the same ring with his car keys. I cupped his cheek and smiled at him.

"I love you too, my precious flower."

Ayo a bitch is back.

We'll see how stressful this next week shall be for me, because last week was pretty stressful.

Also, the guy I like is making me feel a lot more emotions and it's making me very soft, hence the soft chapter.
