I was walking in the Park alongside Aiden. We ran into some people on accident.

"Oh! Sorry!" I apologized and looked at the boys face standing in front of me.

I've seen that face before....

Baby blue left eye, purple right eye, brown hair.... The boy from my dream!! "No, no. We weren't looking, we're sorry." He shrugged it off.

A small smile danced on my face. "Hey, we have to go, but maybe we could meet up sometime?" He suggested.

"Yeah, for sure!" Rue chirped. I stared at the girl before my eyes, I couldn't believe it. It's her. Purple for her left eye, baby pink for her right, long brown hair.

She blushed when she noticed my staring, "I-I'm Eva." She smiled and blushed more, "I'm Aiden.." I breathed out.

She's really pretty...

"Before we go, since my sister is exchanging names, let me introduce myself. I'm Kaleb. What's your name, pretty lady?" The boy named Kaleb spoke to my sister.

"M-Me? I'm Rue." Rue spoke.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Rue." He said, he grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly. Rue blushed and smiled. "Well!" He clapped his hands, "We must be going now. Later Aiden, Miss Rue."

And like that they were off.

"Remember, in the fabricated world, you always called me 'Miss Ib'?" Ib giggled. "Haha, I do. How could I ever forget?" I laughed.

"You goofball." She teased and kissed me.

Rue and Aiden walked back into the room, "How're you guys doing?" Rue asked. "We're just fine." Ib replied. "Better than fine." I kissed her cheek.

"Gross! Mushy lovey-dovey stuff. Eeeww!!" Rue and Aiden playfully teased us.

We all laughed.

Mary.... she's standing right there.

Staring at Dad and Mom.

I got up and gave her a look saying, 'Follow Me'. "I'm going to the bathroom." I said and walked out the hospital room.

I glanced behind me every now and then to make sure Mary was following, she was. I entered the white room. "MR. GOODE!!" I screeched. "Rue? What is it?" He asked.

"She's here~!" I cooed as I saw Mary float into the room.

Her invisible ghostly form had changed into a solid human, like as if she were alive again. "Oh my god. Good job, Rue." Mr. Goode praised and grabbed Mary's arm.

"Let me go!!" Mary demanded but she was just thrown onto the table. They strapped her down and I walked up to her. "Mary, this is your last chance to walk away from my family." I said sternly.

"No! Never, I'll never leave until Garry's gone." She said, "I just want Ib back... I just want a friend...."

I sighed. "Keep her here, don't let her go." I told Goode and left the room. I went outside the hospital and made my protection circle.

I kneeled in the middle, cupped my hands and put them next to my heart, I closed my eyes.

Making sure my power levels were high enough I started to speak, "Heavenly Gods and Goddesses I reach out to you. Please, show yourselves upon me."

A beautiful woman appeared in front of Rues body. The protection circle shone brightly. "What is it, child?" The woman spoke. "Please break the emotional and physical bond with my brother, Aiden, and I!" Rue responded.

"Is that all you wish?" The woman asked. "Please, protect my family for as long as they live! I wish them to not be harmed by vengeful sprits!" Rue added. "That is all I can do for you, child, you may go now." The lady said and disappeared.

"Thank you." Rue whispered. The circle stopped glowing as Rue opened her eyes.

I felt something strange. It was as if my heart had gotten a slight bit colder. A shiver ran up my entire body.

"You ok there?" Daddy asked me, "Yeah. Just a weird moment." I responded honestly.

"Alrighty then."

We all laughed.

|~=~|Rue|~=~|

I ran back to the white room as fast as I could.

"It's broken! It's broken, I can do it!" I said out loud as I entered the room. "Do what?" Goode asked me. "You'll see." I responded and approached Mary.

I had a 50/50 chance of surviving but it's the best thing I've got right now.

"Mary! Take me!" I said. "What?" She questioned. "Take me with you! I'll be your friend." I said. "Are you sure? You're not going to leave me?" She asked with hopeful eyes.

"No. Not ever." I responded and released her from the tables grasp.

She grabbed my hands which were starting to fade once more. I allowed the fading to go faster and as soon as I knew it my arms were gone and transparent. "Great! We can play forever!" Mary exclaimed happily.

"Rue! What're you doing?!" Goode shouted. "Shut up! This is my choice." I said.

I willed the vanishing faster, the lower half of me is already gone.

Now.. I said to myself in my head.

I forced my magic power to grow until it felt like I was going to explode. "What?! What's happening?! Stop!!" Mary panicked. "You'll kill us both!"

"I don't care." I said with a smile, "I don't care. If my family is ok then that's all that matters. So I don't care... I'm not afraid."

My smile remained all the same as my magic grew larger.

"You're willing to die for them? Really?" She asked with an annoyed tone. "Yes." I said and tears fell from my eyes.

I felt my magic power building up inside me too much.

It exploded inside of me.

Mary screamed in pain as I fell to the floor.

This is it. Mary has fallen finally. Her spirit is put to rest.

Rue falls to the ground, she no longer has powers left. "Rue! Huang, get some other doctors in here, stat!" Goode yells.

Miss. Huang runs out and minutes later five doctors run in and take her away. Mr. Goode goes to Rues family and tells them the news.

"Your daughter has collapsed on the floor. Her heart had stopped, the doctors are working on getting her to come back." The doctor tells us with a frown.

"What?..." Aiden breaks the silence. His voice is weak, so weak that it cracks. "Why? Do you know why?" Ib asks frantically.

"Calm down, Mrs. Ib, please. I have no idea." He says, "My apologies."

~(HOURS later)~

The doctor walks back in with a smile on his face. "Well, the good news is, Rue is fine. Bad news, if you didn't know already, Rue had powers. Powers to talk to the angels watching over us. She could see things we couldn't. Unfortunately, she can't anymore. She is a regular human like ourselves." He explains.

"O-Okay.. Thank you, Doctor." Ib says.

Let me just explain what I felt just over the few hours I was dead:

Black. Pitch black.

Peace. It's quiet, it's peaceful, I'm relaxed.

Falling... I'm falling now. I hear the cries of my family. Mom, Dad, Aiden.
I hear the cries of Eva and Kaleb.

I'm falling, but I'm not scared. I can't feel.

Mary... I hear her cries. She's pained.

I hear the panic of Mr. Goode's voice and the others.

Then there's a voice I do not recognize. It's of a little girl. She's also very pained.
Weak, she sounds weak. Hurt.

Blinding white, it's white now.

I hear a heart beating. It's mine, I can feel now.

I start floating.

I'm scared.

Tears, they're falling from my eyes, I feel it!
Fear, I can feel it too!

I'm happy.

What's this, a smile? Yes! It's a smile, I feel it!
My hands, I can see them!

I touch my face, yes, it's there. Tears are still spilling.

Then everything stops and I wake up.

I'm staring at the hospital ceiling. Everyone's here, even mom.

Happy faces. I see them.
I'm happy, they're happy, everyone is happy!

I smile, "I love you guys." I say.

Everyone is crying and smiling. They hug me, warmth I feel it.

I'm glad I'm alive.
