Chapter 7
I wake up to shouts from downstairs. My reaction at first is to hide under my covers like a child but my curiosity gets the best of me.
I get up out of bed and tiptoe to the door. The door creaks when I open it but I doubt anyone would be able to hear that. I slowly make my way down the hallway until I reached the top of the stairs and I could clearly hear the voices now.
"Do you think I want to keep doing this!" I hear my buyer shout.
"Of course not, but I think you should stop, there is no point in killing anymore people." The maid said. Her voice isn't really yelling but it is a lot louder than the voice she used on me so I am just going to think that's her yelling voice.
"You don't understand why I have to kill."
"I do, don't you think it hurt me as much as it hurt you?"
"I know that it hurt you, that's another reason why I can't stop." What are they talking about, I thought, and how is the maid involved?
"Killing people is never going to make it better." I hear the maid say gently. I hear footsteps coming my way. I should run back to my room but Im frozen in place. I see my buyer appear and the maid following after him.
"Killing people will make them understand what a big mistake they made," He says. He is in the shadows so I still can not see him clearly.
"They understand Leo, you need to realize that." My maid says gently reaching out for him but I see the shadow of his body move away from her. The maid drew back her hand.
"They'll never understand!" He screamed at her. "They will never realize what a big mistake they made and that's why I never will stop killing."
"You are killing innocent people who had nothing to do with it."
"Everyone had something to do with it, and you know its better for them to die by my hand then whats going to happen to them!"
"Leo, what about the girl,do you want her to be even more scared of you than she already is?"
"She knows I kill people, I mean how couldn't when she lived with that stupid family," He growled out.
"Just try not to scare her too much, you know she's going through so much right now, being bought by a serial killer probably doesn't help her anxiety."
"I'm trying not to scare her but what's the point, she will never realize that I probably saved her." Saved me!! If he wanted to save me maybe he should bring me back to my family or set me free.
"She will understand one day, give her time."
"Whatever."
"Go clean up, you don't want her seeing you like that."
"Fine."
He steps forward into the light and it takes my eyes a second to realize what it splattered all over his body.
Blood, blood on his face, blood on his shirt, blood on his pants, blood on his shoes.
I gasped and then his eyes shot up to mine. I was frozen in fear, he starts stomping up the stairs towards me with the most nastiest look on his face. When he reaches the top of the step he grabs my wrists and puts them against the wall ruffly. I try to move away from him but it's no use.
"Do you think you can just listen to our conversations,"He says. I can't stop looking at the blood all over him.
"I-I-" I can't form any words as he looks at me.
"Leo,"I hear the maids' voice coming from behind him.
"What," He says angrily, turning his head towards her. He smells like blood, I feel something rising in my throat.
Oh no! Oh no! Since his grip is loose I quickly slip out of his grip and turn the other way before I throw up the contents of my stomach which is barely anything.
When I finish throwing up everything is silent. I feel tears of embarrassment stinging my eyes.
"Oh poor girl," The maid says as she comes up next to me and starts rubbing my back. "I'm going to take her back to her room, Leo,clean her vomit up." There is no response. I can't help but find it strange that the maid is bossing him around.
She leads me to my room where she pulls the covers on my bed down so I can slide in. She tucks me in like my sister used to do when I was young. I quickly try and shut that thought out though.
"Try and get some more sleep," She says before she walks out the door, closing it behind her. No matter how hard I try, I can't get the image of his blood splattered face out of my head. I dont go back to sleep.

In the morning the maid brings me breakfast, she asks me how I'm feeling but I don't say anything in response.
I wonder why the maid had been calling my buyer by his name instead of the master like she said before. It seemed kind of strange that she had been arguing with him too. The maids that we used to have a castle barely ever spoke a word.
I slowly ate my breakfast in bed which was a piece of toast, an egg, and some milk.
Tomorrow would be Friday, maybe there was some way I could convince my buyer to let me wear something less revealing. I doubt he would let me though after he had to clean up my vomit. I feel my face heat up at the memory. I should have tried to hold it in but seeing that blood on his face...
Who did he kill? What big mistake was he talking about? And why would he think killing people would help?

Yesterday passed in a blur, the maid came in to give me dinner and that was about it. All I really did was think about last night.
Now though I was sitting in my vanity chair with that stupid red dress on while the maid was doing my makeup.
I had tried to change the maids mind about the dress but she said that Leo ordered that I wear it.
After my makeup was done I looked at my face in the mirror. My light brown hair is curled and my face has some minimal make up on. I look almost exactly the same as I always do which makes me wonder why she even needed to did my makeup.
"Follow me," The maid says. She leads me out of the room and I try and cover myself up as best I can but I know I will probably have to take my hands down at some point.
When we reach the top of the steps I see Leo,no wait, my buyer waiting for me at the door. I stop not wanting to go any farther but the maid is stronger than she looks and basically drags me down the steps. Once we reach my buyer I see his eyes flick down to my body but then he looks right back up into my eyes. I quickly look away, I don't want to look at him as the picture of his blood splattered body still flashes through my mind.
"Have fun," I hear the maids voice say. My buyer grabs my upper arm and leads me to the door. I notice that the lock it not on the door anymore as he opens it up.
The autumn wind hits my bare skin and makes me shiver. He drags me towards the horse and I can only imagine how much my dress is going to ride up when I get on the horse. He lets go of my arm for a second before he gets on the horse and then he extends his hand towards me witch I take.

We rode for about thirty minutes until we reached another mansion. There was no gates that surrounded this mansion but it still looked like it was as big as my buyers mansion.
We got off the horse and walked towards the door. I used my one arm that was free from my buyer grip to cover my cleavage. I could feel him looking at me but I didn't return his gaze.
"I'm sorry about the dress,"He said. I turned my head to glare at him.
"Why did I need to wear this dress?" I bite out.
"It would seem strange if you didn't, you must at least know why a lot of men by young women." I did know what he meant but I tried not to think about it. "Don't be surprised if his girl isn't wearing anything, you should be grateful your wearing that dress." I slowly nod my head. He seems pleased with my acknowledgment and knocks on the door.
It opens almost seconds later and I am surprised when I see the man that stands there. It's the blond boy. He bought that girl, what was her name? Ava,Avale,Avila, yes that was it.
I look around him to see the curly blond dressed in something similar to me. She doesn't look scared anymore. Her arms crossed over her chest area and she was glaring at the back of the Strawberry blond boy's head.
"Leo, Nice to see you,'' the strawberry blond boy says. He is dressed in a black suit with a gold chain around his neck and I notice that there are some rings on his fingers. He was looking at Leo waiting for a reply. I guess he hadn't seen me yet.
"Nice to see you..." My buyer pauses and looks around him at Avila who was still glaring at the blond, "Who is this?" The blond turns around to look at the girl with a smirk on his face.
"Avila meet Leo, Leo meet Avila," He gestured between them. Avila only turned her glare to Leo. The blond grabbed Avila's waist and pulled her closer to him. She didn't resist, which seemed strange since her expression looked like she was about to punch him.
Avila was wearing a green dress that looked almost the same as mine except her back was actually covered.
The blond boy's eyes then turned to me. I saw his eyes flick down at my dress but then immediately came back up to my face. He looked at Leo with an expectant look.
"Gray this is Cleo," My buyer said.
"Cleo and Leo," He snickered which made my buyer- no wait Leo glare at him. It was pointless thinking of him as my buyer and obviously Leo was a lot easier to think than "My buyer".
"Are you ready to start drinking?" Gray asked. Leo nodded his head slightly, and Gray started walking with Avila being dragged behind him. I looked up at Leo and noticed that he was looking down at me. He quickly looked away as we started following them.
Soon we reached a sitting room with a small table in the middle of some chairs and couches. I noticed about ten or so bottles of wine or beer. I couldn't tell since I never drank before. There were also maybe fifteen glasses set out on the table.
Gray immediately made his way to the coach and sat down on the coach as Avila sat next to him. I saw Leo's eyes narrow at the glasses on the table.
"Why so many glasses," He asks.
"I invited a few more people over."
"You know I only wanted to come see you right. I didn't want to hang out with a bunch more freaking people," Leo growled out. Gray only laughed as he poured himself a glass of alcohol.
Leo grumbled to himself as he made his way to the coach opposite of theirs. I sat down next to him uncertainly. Leo immediately started pouring the alcohol into two cups. He handed one to me. I didn't take it at first, I definitely did not want to get drunk here.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Beer." Was his only answer. I slowly took it, looking into his eyes nervously.
"Have fun?" Gray asked suddenly.
"What?" Leo responded. I took a little sip of the beer and it tasted horrible.
"Two nights ago, I sure had fun." Leo's face turned pale and he refused to make eye contact with me. "What did you do to that woman anyway?"
"Shut up," Leo snapped.
"Why does your girl not know what you do to people you're about to kill."
"Shut up!"
"They never deserve it."
"SHUT UP!" Leo was practically yelling now.
"Get them all drunk and then he-" He couldn't finish though because Leo slammed his drink down on the table, grabbed my arm and started dragging me away. I try to get out of his grip but it's too tight.
"Nice talking to you!" I hear Gray's cheerful voice say.
We are out the door in seconds and on the ride home. I'm shaking, I started to feel dizzy and then I let go of Leo's waste. I fell off but I didn't feel the impact of the ground because everything had already faded to black.
