- Two weeks Later -

Towards the beginning of the school year, we had to write a super long essay and send it to our dream college. 

I want to go to UCLA. (University of. California. Los. Angeles.) UCLA is my dream college. It's my number one choice. 

Today we're supposed to find out if we got accepted into our dream colleges. 

My second choice was Willam and Mary. 

I'll be glad to get into either college. But I really hope I get into UCLA. 

Sarah wants to go to Virginia Tech. I don't blame her because that's a pretty cool college. 

I'm not sure what college Ashton, Jake, or Nate want to go to. But I hope it's close to mine, especially Nate. 

I'm not too worried about what college Nate is going to, because I know that our relationship will stay strong no matter what. 

And to be totally honest, if we have to do LDR (Long. Distance. Relationship.)I think I'll be okay with it. Yes, it will be very difficult. But, I love Nate, so no matter what, I want to continue to date him. 

I woke up about twenty minutes ago. I already ate breakfast, my mum bought me some Dunkin Donuts! I love my iced coffee and munchkins. 

Right now, I'm downstairs just chilling on the couch. 

Ding Dong! 

Who could that be? 

"I'll get it!" My mum said. 

"Okay." 

I heard the front door open. 

"Grace! It's here!" My mum said. "It is?" I asked. 

"Yep!" She began to say. "In this envelope, it determines if you got into UCLA or not," my mum continued. 

I smiled big. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. 

She handed me the envelope that determines my future. "Here goes nothing..." I said while taking the envelope from her and slowly opening it. 

I open the envelope carefully. I frown. My mum frowns at my expression. "Is it bad news?" She asks. "No..." I said. She has a confused expression on her face. "It's great news!" I said while showing her what it said. 

The paper inside the envelope says 'Congratulations! You're going to UCLA!'

I jumped up and down in excitement. 

We both screamed. Then laughed. 

We're weird. But I like that about our family. 

I texted Sarah, Jake, Ashton, and Nate to come over. They all brought their unopened envelopes. 

They all came over about 10 minutes later. 

"Hey, guys!" I said they all greeted me. "I got into UCLA!" I said. Well, more like shouting. "That's great, baby!" Nate said. I smiled. "Grace, that's amazing!" Sarah said. "I'm so happy for you!" Jake said. "Way to go, Grace!" Ashton said. 

I love my friends. 

My friends.

Friends. 

Wow. 

"Well, I was thinking you guys could all open them at the same time," I suggested. They all liked my idea and began slowly opening the envelopes. 

"3...2....1!" Nate said. Everyone then ripped open their envelopes. Unlike what I did. Because I want to frame mine. I know, it might be weird, but I still want to do it. 

They all screamed at the same time. And I swear I thought I saw the house shake. I covered my ears. "I got in!" Sarah yelled. "I got in!" Ashton said. "Same!" Jake said. "I.........got in too!" Nate said. 

I smiled. 

We all cheered and celebrated. 

"What colleges did you guys get into? I know that Sarah got into Virginia Tech. But what about you guys?" I asked. 

"I got into California State University," Nate said. That's awesome!

"Oh, my guacamole! Nate do you know what that means?" I asked. "No, what does it mean?" Nate asked while smiling. "We're both going to college in LA!" I said. "Which means, we both can visit each other often," I continued. "Yes!!" Nate said while picking me up, twirling me, and kissing me. 

We all smiled. 

Then, Nate put me down. 

"I got into Stanford University," Jake said. I'm happy for him. He worked so hard. And that's a good college to get into. 

 "That's awesome Jake!" I said. "Thanks," he said. "Your welcome," I said. 

"And what college did you get into, Ashton?" I asked. 

"I got into William and Mary," he said while smiling. 

"Hey, that was my second choice," I said. 

"That's cool, I'm so happy for you," I continued. 

"Thanks," I said. I nodded my head. 

"We're all so lucky to go to our dream colleges. And William and Mary aren't that far from Virginia Tech, they're both in Virginia. So, Ashton and Sarah can be close to," I said. They smiled really big and kissed. 

"We will all have to FaceTime a lot, and visit each other near the holidays, okay?"  I said. Everyone agreed. 

"No matter what, we will always be friends. Now who's in?" I said while putting my hand in the air waiting for everyone to put their hand in the middle too. "Me," Nate said while smiling. He put his hand on top of mine. "Of course me!" Sarah said, while putting her hand on top. "Definitely," Jake said while putting his hand on the top. "What would I do without you guys?" Ashton said while adding his hand to the top. 

We all smiled at each other. 

"On three, we say "Friends Forever' and then break," I said. Everyone nodded.  "One, two, three!" 

"Friends Forever!" 

 Everyone took their hands away and we all laughed. 

I am so lucky. 

I'm lucky to have an amazing boyfriend, a best friend who means the world to me, to have friends like Jake and Ashton, to have amazing parents, to go to my dream college, UCLA, and...this group of friends! 

Right now, I wouldn't ask to change anything.
