The Accent - Chapter 3

I finished up most of my classes. I just have one class left...Physics. Physics is probably my least favorite period. But, I try to get through it. I haven't really seen Blake that much today. I saw him In pre-calculus, lunch and free period.

Sarah is in my Physics class, so we walked there together from the gym. In the gym we had to play Volleyball, I don't really enjoy Volleyball as much because I play basketball. Basketball is more my type of style when it comes to sports. I'm not really one of those people that tend to just sit down and watch people playing basketball through a screen. I'm more of the person to actually want to play instead of watching others. One time, in gym class, we had two teams for basketball and I made a 3 pointer shot which made my team win. Which made me feel pretty good about myself.

We arrived at the door of my Physics class, and there were already some students in the room. Sarah and I greeted the physics teacher, Mrs. Ikleman. She greeted us back and motioned that we should take our seats since 9th period was about to start.

I guess Blake also happened to be in my Physics class since he was also in the room.

"Okay, hello students. Today we are going to be-" Mrs. Ikleman started to say but was soon interrupted by a knock on the door. She opened the door. It was a boy, I have never seen him before. So I was guessing he was new.

"Hi, come on in," She said to the boy. While opening the door wider for him to enter the room. "Hi," he said. "Students, this is another foreign exchange student, he also happens to come a long way from Britain." Wow, how many boys came all the way from Britain on the exact same day? But they're not related because they don't have the same last name.

I couldn't help but stare at him. He had gray eyes and what looked like soft fluffy dark brown hair. He seemed tall. Maybe about 5'11. He was wearing black jeans that were ripped near his knees, and a gray shirt with a chain around his neck that had a cross on it. And he was wearing a pair of white converse sneakers.

"Well, why don't you introduce yourself?" Said Mrs. Ikleman. "Sure," he said."Great," Mrs. Ikleman started to say. "The floor is yours" She closed the door behind the boy, as he walked in, and Mrs. Ikleman motioned to a spot in the front of the room where the boy could introduce himself.

"Hi everyone. I'm Jake. Jake Shepherd. And I'm from a small town in England." The boy said.

I can't stop staring at him. I'm not sure why. Wow, his accent is really cute.

~AUTHORS NOTE~   I hope you guys are enjoying my book so far. I have been working really hard on this. And the chapters will get better and better. I promise. - G
