- Friday Afternoon - 

Nate told me not to dress up fancy. He said that he has a surprise for me, and that I should just wear my normal clothes. So, I wore my white tank top, black running shorts, I wore my white converse and put on some light makeup since it was a date after all.

Ding Dong!

He's here! I'm so happy.

I started walking down stairs. "Mum, I'll get it!" I said. Yesterday, I had told my mum that I was going on a date with Nate and she was so excited.

I opened the door, "Hey, Nate," I said. "Hey, Grace," he said and smiled. I smiled back. He took my hand and placed it in his, our fingers intertwined with each other's. "Bye, mum," I said. "Bye, Mrs. Walker," Nate said. "Bye, Grace, bye Nate, have fun you guys!" My mum said. "We will," Nate said. I shut the door behind me and stepped outside, still holding Nate's hand.

"So, where are we going?" I asked. I'm curious to know what he has planned for us. "It's a surprise," he said. "But, follow me," he said. "Okay," I said following him. I trailed behind him with our fingers still locked together.

We walked down the street and then he started walking through some woods.

We walked for what seemed like hours, but was actually just minutes. "Are we almost there? And where exactly is there?" I asked. "Yes, we're almost there, and I can't tell you yet, you'll see." We finally let our grip go. I nodded my head and continued to follow him. Nate stopped. Maybe, we finally got to wherever we were supposed to be.

We were in the woods. "A-are you going to kill me?" I asked while stuttering. I'm not taking any chances. We all know what happened with Blake and Josh and I need to make sure that I trust a guy before just letting them into my life. So, I'm just making sure.

"No, I promise," he said, while chucking a little. "But I understand why you asked, after everything you've been through lately," he continued. I'm glad that he understands me. "We're here," He said while pointing at something. I turned my attention to where he's pointing to. My jaw dropped.

Nate was pointing to a giant field. There were so many flowers and butterflies. There was a picnic blanket and picnic basket.

"Nate! This is amazing! Thank you so much!" I said turning my attention to him. He looked at me. "Your welcome, I'm glad you like it. Seeing you happy, makes me happy," he said.

"This is a beautiful view," I said. "I know right?" Nate said. "Yeah, it really is. But, I didn't even know this was here," I said. "Oh, you didn't?" He asked. "Nope," I said. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's eat!" Nate said. We laughed. We went over to the picnic blanket. I took one more look around us and then I opened up the picnic basket. There were strawberries, blueberries, crackers, carrots, and bagels with butter. And the good thing was that the butter wasn't melting quickly in the sun because we were in the shade and also because he had the little things of butter that you get from restaurants to put on your bread.

"Thank you," I said and I kissed his cheek. "Your welcome," he said. I ate some strawberries and blueberries first. Then, I had a bagel. "A girl with an appetite, I like that," he laughed. I lightly punched his arm in a friendly way, if there even is a friendly way. "Just kidding!" He said and out his hands up in surrender. We talked for a while and took a little walk around. It was so beautiful and romantic. I still can't believe that Nate did this for me. Aww! He really is such a great guy!

It was now about 4:39PM. Hours had passed and we finally decided that it was time to go back home. I had such a great time with Nate.

He said that he would go back and get the picnic stuff later, since he lived near there. He walked me back home. We were now standing by my front door. "I had such an amazing time with you today, Grace," Nate said. "I did too," I said while smiling. "Grace, I want to tell you something," he said. "Okay," I said. "I think I'm really falling for you..." he said. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. Talk Grace, talk! Say something, anything.

"Me too," I said. And I wasn't  lying, that's how I really felt about Nate, I really like him. "Really?" He asked. "Yes, really," I said smiling. "Do you want to meet up tomorrow and we can talk about it?" He asked. "Yes, I'd love that," I said. "Alright, then I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay," I said while blushing. I couldn't help but look at his lips, then I looked deep into his brown eyes and he looked into my blue eyes. Then, he looked at my lips then back to my eyes. We started leaning in until our face was inches away. Our lips finally touched and we kissed.

Moments later, we pulled away. "Thanks for that," I said. Nate laughed. "You're welcome," he said. We smiled at each other. "I should get going, but I'll see you tomorrow," he said. "Okay, see you tomorrow, bye Nate," I said. "Bye, love" he said. I blushed. I don't know what it was but when he called me 'love' I totally felt weak in the knees.

We waved goodbye to each other and I opened the front door and walked in. I told my mum everything that had happened from the picnic, to the kiss. I told her I would skip dinner tonight because I wasn't hungry since I had a picnic with Nate.

Then, I went upstairs and texted Sarah everything that had happened and then I said goodnight. I got up from my desk and went to my bathroom. I changed into my pajamas and brushed my teeth.

I paid back down onto my bed. And drifted off deep into my thoughts. I just realized something. I think I might...love Nate.
