Rosemary Leaves
I loved you so much, my Rosemary.
So much so,
I wanted you to marry me.
But now, you've shunned me so.
You've turned away and said,
"I have to go."
You insisted, "Someday you'll see."
But I begged you,
"Please don't leave, my Rosemary."
You told me, "It's for the better."
"Can I call you?" I asked.
"No," you said. "Not even a letter."
I thought we would have a beautiful wedding.
But now I'm worried.
What will the future bring?
How can I live without my beautiful Rosemary?
Oh, darling dearest, my love,
Why are you leaving me?
