STORY BEHIND THE PIC:

When Murray was just an egg, he was abandoned. A kind Pokemon trainer named Destiny found him and picked him up, happy to add him to her team. He became a valuable member of the team, eventually becoming Champion along with the rest of the team, and he never forgot the time Destiny first found him.

A while after becoming Hoenn's Champion, Destiny stumbled across something terrible: a lone egg and a dead Marowak. Remembering his own young life, Murray fluttered down to the egg, carefully making sure not to break it as he sat down on it.

Days later the egg hatched: a Cubone. As if not noticing Murray, he scrambled toward the Marowak. After prying off the skull and placing it on his own head, he tried to run off. Destiny picked him up before he went too far. Being small, lonely, and so shy it seemed like he wasn't even there, it was decided that Phantom was the best name for him.

Today, Phantom is growing stronger and coming out of his shell. He is beginning to see Murray as a true father. And Murray is wondering if, like he himself had, Phantom would possibly save the life of another egg.
