I'll Be Fine

Only a few feet away Rose was giddy with excitement. No matter where or when her Doctor took her she never ceased to be completely totally amazing.
"Hey Doctor, look," Rose said somewhat excitedly looking at a sad man on a bench, "I'm gonna go tell him I like his bow tie."
"Rose, now why'd you want to-" the Doctor was cut off with an answer before he finished the question.
"He looks sad, it might brighten him up a bit," she told him smiling. The Doctor smiled warmly at her as well, thinking that he loved how she wanted to help everyone.
"Plus," she was adding, "it just looks cool."

She dropped The Doctors hand and walked over to the man in a bow tie, suspenders, a tweed jacket with elbow patches and floppy hair. There was still something else drawing her to him. She felt a connection but wasn't sure what or how. Almost like she knew him...

She smiled brightly as she approached him. She watched as his ran through emotions; panic, excitement, gloom, dread, bliss, disbelief, hope, giddy joy, and heartbreak- somehow all in one man's eyes in a matter of seconds. They were old eyes. Not new to these emotions she could tell. Familiar eyes. She knew them didn't believe what her mind thought. Then again she'd ever only seen on person show so much emotion, all those emotions, in such a flicker of a moment and be able to suppress them. That kind of thing would drive anyone mad. She stopped thinking it, her mind was playing tricks on her.

Rory was smiling with satisfaction, giving the two a nice moment shouldn't be too hard if she was already making the first move.

"That's a nice bow tie you got there," she said. The Doctor's face lit up brighter than Rory had ever seen it as he looked into the face of the girl he loves with all of his two hearts while she addressed him for the first time in centuries.

"T-thanks," The Doctor uttered, choking on his words.

"I beg to differ," Rory spat out , trying to keep the girl here as long as he could, or at least until he could tell her what was happening or she could figure it out.

"Well, I think it's pretty cool," Rose responded with a slight giggle and gave the bow tie a playful flick, in the process of which she leaned in closer than the Doctor had been to her ages, he felt her breathe on his chest for a moment and her finger on the bow tie. He felt as though he was going to fall over. Faint. Wake up. Regenerate right there because his hearts couldn't take this.

The younger and more vibrant Doctor, not free of loss by far but yet to feel the nights of ache from losing his Rose, began to walk over as he saw her start to make conversation.

Consern finally slipped over Rose's face and into her voice as she asked,"What's wrong." Rory had never seen someone care so much about someone who they knew nothing about and he began to understand at least one small reason why the Doctor loved her so.

As the trench coated Doctor walked over, The one blinking away a flood of tears said in a voice that could break anyone's heart he hear, "Oh, don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I'll be oh so perfectly fine." He wouldn't look up any longer, his face was in his hands.

"No," Rory said firmly addressing the girl, to focused to be fazed by the thought of the younger Doctor,"he's not fine. And I am not the one he needs to talk to."

A puzzled and worried look crossed the Doctor who's face was still showing as he ran a hand through his hair, spiking it up further than it already was. Meanwhile the other Doctor wouldn't look up still, though he did raise a hand to silence his companion and told him simply,"Rory please. Don't. We can't just mess with my timeline."

Rose's thoughts were confirmed but she didn't react yet. She'd always recognize him no matter what face he had. She took a slight comfort in that although there were more disconcerting things that were brought up by this.

The Doctor had spoken louder than he thought and soon heard a reply from the voice ones belonging to him,"What do you mean your timeline?!" After a pause,"Who are you?! What's your name?"

Sighing deeply in defeat, the old Doctor stood up tall and looked himself in the eye. Rory won. He got himself curious and if he knew himself at all he wouldn't leave this till he knew. He was never one to give up easily.

"I'm the Doctor,"he declared lacking his usual confidence in that statement, pulled out his sonic screwdriver to help his point and used it as a pointer as he identified everyone else, "so are you. That's Rose Tyler, i believe she already figured me out though. This is Rory Pond-" he was interrupted by a mumble "Williams.." from Rory.

"Not now Pond we'll discuss it later. Anyway if you don't believe me still Doctor take these two words and think how else I'd know them," The Doctor then spoke a memory he hadn't uttered in ages.

"Bad Wolf."

A mildly alarmed expression crossed the Doctor's face as a look of urgency crossed Rose's. She needed to speak to him.
