Release Me
Author:

Title: Release Me
Genre: Science Fiction
Mature: I certainly wouldn't say so.
Cover and Title: 2/5
The Title is quite mundane. There are so many book titled Release Me on Wattpad, there's nothing that sets your title apart. Especially because it wasn't that big of a plot (yes, I know it was but the actual words 'Release me' don't make me think of it). Even something as simple as "Fragile Heart" could be a bit more unique and make a lot more sense with the story.
As for the cover, it was very visually pleasing. It wasn't particularly unique, but not bad at all.
Blurb: 3/5
I don't think the first person segment flowed with the the rest of it, but it was good. Perhaps it gave a bit too much away, but not way too much. There were a few minor grammatical errors.
First Impressions: 4/5
I was really excited going in. I loved the concept of fragile hearts and was eager to see more. Well done drawing readers in right away!
Characters: 3/5
I liked your Alice's feisty attitude. However, her instant distrust of the doctors didn't make sense. These are the only people who are offering to 'save' her, so why wouldn't she want to do whatever they say if only out of desperation and fear?
As for Derek. I liked him. He was probably my favorite character, though I'm not completely sure why because I don't typically loves his type.
Perhaps fewer Doctors? I understand why there were a lot, but I had some trouble keeping track.
Grammar: 4/5
A few minor things here and there, and quite a few missed comas. Otherwise, good job.
Plot: 3.5/5
I loved the concept! The fragile heart idea was both familiar and unique in an odd way I didn't understand, but really liked. My concern with the doctors is mentioned above. I also think that the pacing was a bit off. The beginning was slow, and subsequently the end was rushed.
Overall: 3.25/5
A solid read that I'd recommend to any lover of science fiction.
