🌹CHAPTER TWENTY - SIX🌹
Right in front of me is the circus, an empty one but it still looks beautiful. I've always wanted to go to one but I've never gone since my mom has always been a bit protective over me in the past. "What are we doing here?" I ask her as I look over at her to see that she is smiling kindly at me.
"I figured that since you've always wanted to go, why not? Besides there are so many things that you need to try in your life" She tell me. Before I die. The words were not spoken but I knew that we were both thinking it which neither one of us want.
I am alive and I am well, despite being a bit weak in my body. "I rented this place out for the rest of the day. Just so that you aren't in any danger and so we can do whatever we want" She tells me as we get out of the car. This is better than going shopping since I'm not much for shopping either way.
A childish smile on my lips as I walk through the gates of the circus area that has been put up. I'm in awe of how everything looks. Every single direction that my eyes look there are so many colors and it's just too much. There is a large signature tent in the middle and then smaller tens all around it.
"Where do we even start?" I ask my mom as she is behind me. She's looking at me with joy in her eyes and a hint of tears. Though, I know that these aren't she tears of sadness but of joy. "Wherever you want, this is your time and you can do everything that you want to do" She tells me and I nod my head.
I run over to my mom and hug her tightly. "Thank you" I whisper to her. She knows how much I've wanted to come here in my childhood and I've never been but now that I'm here, I want to savor every single moment like never before. all of this makes me feel like a child but I'm a child at heart and now I'm finally letting that child deep in my heart out and allow it to play.
Smiling when I see a tent that shows a sign that says 'Fortuneteller'. I start to walk over there, assuming to that it would be interesting to see what my future holds since my real father wants to kill me. I think it will also be fun to know if my future will be happy with Alexander.
"Let's go in there" I tell my mom as she walks along with me. Going into the tent we're welcomed by a low light. There are fake candles all over the tent (most likely so the tent won't catch up on fire on accident) that light it up but there are things hanging from the top of the tent.
Ripping and dream catchers. Charms that I've never seen before and crystals. It's beautiful and unique but it does hold this respect and I have a strange feeling about being here. In the middle of the tent is a table and chairs all around it. My eyes are looking everywhere until I see a woman sitting by the table.
She's dressed in what looks to be rags or the old crazy cat lady clothing by the looks of it. She doesn't say anything but as I stare into her eyes and she into mine I feel like she wants me to sit down and I do. My mom sits down next to me. "Your aura is innocent" The woman speaks to me.
Her voice is low but powerful one and it makes me gulp. It holds a power over me, that I do know. I have no clue what she is talking about my aura. "Give me your hand, child" She speaks and slowly I put my hand out for her to take. Her own hand is cold and when she touches my skin shivers run down my whole body.
She closes her eyes. "Your soul has suffered a fair amount, betrayal and heartbreak" She begins. This woman is correct about that but how did she know? I suppose she knows because she is after all a fortuneteller so she is supposed to know my past and my future.
"But it struggles to make sense of reality. The illusion that was fed to it is still apart of you and it will stay with you for a long time. Events that took place yet never happened will force you to be met with confusion and uncertainty. What is true and what is not" She says.
"The reality is not what it seems and the dreams are more likely to come true if that path is taken but the other one leads to more danger and death" The woman finishes before she lets go of my hand. I look at my mom to see that she is glaring at the woman for some reason.
But, I'm just confused. The woman doesn't give us another glance and I stand up. "That was strange" I say to my mom as we exit that tent. "You can say that again" She tells me and I smile. The words that the woman spoke are still lingering in my mind but it must be a trick or something because she can't actually know the future, can she?
I thought these things were just for fun and not something to take serious but why do I get the feeling that she was telling me something that might just as well come true. "Now, what do you want to do next?" My mom asks me. I notice that since we are alone here we can literally do whatever we want and there is nothing that can hold us back.
"Are there going to be any shows here?" I ask her. Seeing the circus people perform would be a dream as that is most likely everything that people come for. "Yes, they'll perform only for the two of us. Is that what you want to see next?" She asks me.
I nod my head and we walk to the largest tent of them all. The closer we get the larger it becomes and I smile as we go over there. Feeling excited that we're actually going to see a circus show, it's what I've always wanted to see in my life and now I'm going to see one for myself.

Walking into the car with a happy smile on my face. "That was amazing and it was everything that I dreamed it to be" I say to my mom. The show was an hour long and it was the most amazing one that I've ever seen and the smile on my face doesn't want to leave but then again I don't want it to go away.
After we watched the show we checked everything out and we saw everything that there was to see. "I'm glad. I wanted this to be your day" Mom says as she starts the car. "Now, we got to face the wrath of your future husband as I'm sure he's been making calls all day" Mom tells me.
We both share a laugh together. I'm sure that Alexander has been worried sick about me but that doesn't matter to me as he's always worried about me so it's kind of old news. "That is true. Though, I think he will just keep me inside where he can see me and stay like that for the rest of that day" I say and once again we laugh.
She drives off and since I've no idea where we are I have no clue how long we're going to be at driving home. This time however we don't have a driver since he had to go home but my mom is driving. "What did you like most of the day?" She asks me after a couple of minutes have passed by.
I think about it for a minute until I've found the answer. "Everything" I tell her. Choosing what was the best thing about the day is something that I can't do since I loved it all equally. This day is one that is going to be in my memory forever and it can never go away.
"What was your favorite thing today?" I ask her. Spending the day with my mom was good and it was what we both needed after what we have been through. "Just being with you" She answers after a moment or two have passed. I smile, wishing I could take her hand but she's driving so it will have to wait.
I watch the world outside the window of the car and see how it zooms past us but even when I only see it for a second, it's still so beautiful. The landscape holds beauty unlike any other and it's so far away from the city that it makes it even more unique.
The sun is starting to slowly set but I've no idea what the time is. I start to think of the day that we've had and how happy I am. Somehow I'm happier now than I was before I went into the coma. Then I was always so afraid of being betrayed again.
Sure, I was happy. I got engaged to the love of my life and I felt happy about it, I was in a good place but something is missing. Perhaps these moments with my mom to bring me peace after all the craziness that I unfortunately have to call my life.
"Are you hungry? We can stop at the next gas station to get something to eat" She asks me. Nodding my head I turn to look at her. "Yeah, a bit. The candy that was offered doesn't fill the stomach that much" I say. I am a bit hungry but not too much.
Though being in the car for long is going to be make me hungry as I can tell that we're going to be in the car for some hours more since we're not even close to the city as I can't even see it. "It is just ten minutes away and then we can buy us something to eat" She tells me.
Nodding my head I turn it back to look outside. There are a couple of cars going past us every so often but other than that I can't really tell of there is anyone else around here. I'm starting to get a bit tired but I can keep myself open a bit longer until we've eaten.
Soon we did stop at the gas station to get us some dinner and I got myself a sandwich while she got this pasta dish that is in a container. Sitting in the car by the gas station we eat our food and then we're on the road again. "How long until we're there?" I ask her when the car has started.
She thinks about it for a minute. "I think it's about one and half an hour until we're in the city and then another fifteen until we've made it to your house" She tells me and I nod my head. "I think I'm going to close my eyes for a second, if that is all right" I tell her and she nods and smiles at me.
"All right, sweetie. I'll wake you up when we're there" She tells me. Smiling at her I find myself getting comfortable before I close my eyes and just allow the darkness to take me as we're driving home, driving to Alexander who I can't wait to see again.
Even when it's been only a day, I do miss him and miss being in his arms. With that on my mind I'm welcomed into the darkness safely.
