Note to judges: We only kept certain reviews for this page but we put together all judge input to make this list!

Note to contestants: 

Please don't be upset if a book you wrote/liked didn't place or you think the rankings are unfair. We had 25 teen fiction judges and a scoring system. The winners had the highest average scores in order. I also read every book that entered front to back.

That being said, all of these books are amazing and deserve a million reads. If you're looking for a good read, check this list! 

We stopped accepting Teen Fiction entries at 70, (though we had one book drop out.) and now we've narrowed it down to the top seven. 

Honorable Mention:

"This book is certainly hilarious, with scenes that everyone can relate to and elaborate characters. I've face-palmed at character actions multiple times in reading this. It's honestly a good read and I highly recommend it."

"I honestly thought this book would be generic and suck, but it is so incredible! I can't get over how intriguing it is and I love it!" 

"Cliche, stereotypical, but that's what makes it absolutely f*cking fantastic."

"This book is an immediate add to my library. It's so good,  so funny, and so interesting. Sure it's a little cliche, but that's exactly what I want in a teen fiction novel! The beginning hooks you in and I'm currently waiting for an update!"

"I'm in love. I love the characters, I love the humor. I can't stop laughing. This book is perfect! Bass and Shelby are my #OTP and I will NOT stand down. This book is great! From the first chapter I'm in love and I won't stop reading this book. If it doesn't place I don't know what will."

"Emotional but funny. This author can make light out of really depressing moments and gets away with it. It's amazing. It's truly a skill that takes forever to develop. The style is consistent and brilliant. Shelby is a complex protagonist with just enough sass to make you smile. The introduction is captivating. This author is able to twist and turn the plot and bring you to the edge of your seat while simultaneously making you laugh."

The scenes feel real. When I read, I read to escape, and reading this book made me forget about the rest of the world. It's freaking amazing." 

"Great book. It deserves to win for sure. It's lit. I couldn't put it down. The author writes really well and makes you wish that you were in this world, because then you could meet these characters and spend time with them and hug them and cry with them. It's sooo good."

"The format of this book is so unique. I usually hate letters, so I'm happy the whole book isn't written in that style, but even so, I don't mind reading these letters. I love this book and I think it's a great story that's presented very well." 

"Excuse me but this book is great. I love it and I live for it. I can't get over it." 

"FINALLY! A book that takes the concept of letters and doesn't f*** it up. Holy S*** I'm happy! I love the character development, and it's just so unique, I have to give this book a perfect score. The sheer talent in this piece is amazing. I fell in love with it."

"Can I just say that Reese is a daddy and my dream man. He's such a well written character and honestly, I'm in love. He has flaws and every time something happens to him I want to hug him. When he does some thing dumb *cough cough* half way through the book, I want to scream at him. I love Jillian because she feels real. She is written to sound like an actual living teenage girl. She seems average on the outside, but from her hatred of second chances and her immature actions, she really isn't. Immediate library add." 

"Expertly written but also hilarious. You fall in love with the characters. It's exactly what you want from a teen fiction book. The relationship seems real, the emotions seem real. I haven't seen a good book where you have a character pushes themselves to succeed a lot in school and with extracurriculars, but in real life so many AP students are actually like that and it's blissfully relatable." 

"I CRIED AT THE END AND THEN READ THE SEQUEL AND CRIED AT THE END OF THAT! BASICALLY I CANT STOP CRYING AND I WANT MOREEEEE"  

"This author is so versatile. They can go from writing a serious chapter that brings you to tears to a hilarious chapter that leaves you on the floor laughing."

"This book is written so lividly with such a vibrant plot. It hooks you in immediately and doesn't let go. It makes you smile and cry at the same time. The contrast between characters is livid and the brilliance in the work is clearly apparent."

"Art. Sometimes you read something on Wattpad for fun. The book will be good, but it won't be literature. This book is not that. It is straight perfection. It is brilliantly written, covered in language that brings it to life. It makes emotions feel real. It will make you cry, it will make you smile, It will make you feel things. This book is superb. This book is magical. This book is the best thing I've ever read on this website."

"The prologue could be a stand alone short story. That's how good it is. The prologue is not even the whole book. I won't is a masterpiece. Haven's home life is depressing and understandable. The book paints a perfect picture of how sad the world is and how emotional connection happens. It paints emotions wonderfully. I love it."
