🌹CHAPTER FORTY - TWO🌹

I frown when I see what happens after the doors of the elevator opens, not only is there nothing but a small hallway, but there's a plain wooden door that isn't that very nice. I was expecting something golden and things like that, since this hotel is so grand and everything.

Alexander only chuckles at how my face fell when I saw that door. Holding up the key he got from the receptionist in the lobby and walks over to the door, I stay right behind him and finally he opens the door and once more for the hundredth time this day, my jaw drops open.

I'm in awe of this hotel penthouse, whatever it is. It's so beautiful. "We'll have dinner now then we will go to bed, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. We will want to wake up early in the morning so we explore more, then in the evening we will attend the charity ball" Alexander tells me as we exit the elevator.

As the two of us walk inside, the bodyguard stays behind and I'm assuming he's going back down or something. I only nod, not finding the words to speak or finding my voice. He laughs at me as I twirl around the floor, just looking around. I thought I had seen a penthouse or a really nice room, yet this is nothing like it.

Much more impressive, and more beautiful. So far, I love France and I really don't want to go back home, even if I know that I will have to go back soon, but this is definitely a place where I shall be returning soon and make no mistakes, I will be coming here soon.

"What is for dinner?" I ask him, we had a lot of snacks and we had lunch in the airplane, with the movie, but that was a early lunch. The flight took some time and we were there for about a couple of hours, it was a good thing that the movie was a long one since that was pretty much all we did.

However, I paused the movie, that I was so interested in to look outside the window and just enjoy the view and how beautiful everything looked like, most of the time, there were clouds below us so I couldn't see much, but I saw enough and I won't forget any of things that my eyes have seen today.

"I thought we could just have a hamburger, I have noticed you have an interest in them and this trip is all about having fun and doing the things you like" He answers, I turn to look at him and smile. "Thank you so much, I really mean it" I tell him.

I honestly can't thank him enough for all he has done for me and how amazing all of this is, and I'm only here because of him, as he was the one who brought me here. I don't know what I would have done if I were back home, since I work for him, who would be taking over the company while he would be away?

Would Alexander even go to this ball if I wasn't coming with him? Of course he is, why am I even thinking like this? "You're welcome" He says to me. "Your bed is over there" He tells me and then gestures for one bed that is separated from another bed that is beside it, yet in the middle of the two is a large nightstand.

The beds are king-sized beds and the covers are pearly white. I go over to the bed on the right side and sit on it, it's sot, yet not too soft, just in the middle, yet very comfortable. "We're going to a ball tomorrow, what will I be wearing? If you don't mind me asking" I ask him.

I'm a little confused on what I can wear since I never brought any of my dresses here or anything for that matter. All I have is the things I'm wearing and my phone and my purse and things like that, and myself. Nothing more, which does confuse me a lot, then again, everything confuses me around here.

"Tomorrow we will be exploring and go shopping, you can buy whatever you want and how much you want, we will also be finding accessories and other woman things that they use when going on balls" He tells me and then comes a few more problems.

I turn to look at him. "You don't have to spend money on me, I have my card" I tell him, trying to convince him of the fact that I have money on my own, however I don't mention the fact that most of the money that I have is one that I'm saving for my company.

"And I won't be needing that many things for that ball" I continue to say to him, I feel a good feeling run through me when he says that he wants to spend money on me, however I know it's wrong. I should pay the things that I buy with my own money.

He walks over to me and sits on the bed beside me, he's so close to me that his knee touches mine and it sends shivers running down my spine. "I took you on this trip and I'm responsible for you having to let go of everything you had back home to come here with me, and as long as you're here with me, I will spend as much money on you as I want" He tells me, then he takes my hand into his.

"I also would like to add to the fact that I'm the richest man in the world and spending a couple of thousand dollars on you is not going to bankrupt me, in fact it would be nice to spend money. I have too much of it and not much left I can spend on" He says and I hear a hint of sadness in his voice.

I don't understand why he would be sad about all of this, then again he's pretty confusing man and everything he does or say sometimes can be confusing and I don't understand it. I sigh. "Fine, but I like to pay for something" I tell him, there is no way that I'm going to spend this week with him paying for everything and I'm not paying for anything.

"Fine by me" He says smirking, he's just happy that he won this argument, I need to remember that this is Alexander Knight, there isn't any battle or argument or even fight that he can't win, which is rather impressive, he gets everything he wants and does everything he can to get it.

A knock on the door interrupts our conversation, he stands up and opens the door, and let me just say, the door looks a whole lot better from the inside rather than the outside and I do like that. I honestly thought that this whole floor would not be this pretty, just by looking at the door.

It is what they say, never judge a book by it cover, in this case it's a door. Once he opens, it's just then bodyguard with a paper bag, and I'm guessing that this is the food, since I do smell food. There is a kitchen here, but I guess Alexander is too tired to cook, though I wouldn't mind eating some of his food again, because that is delicious.

"Dinner is served" He says as he takes the paper bag from his bodyguard and sets it down on the table, there is a table and two chairs, nothing that fancy but if put into the effort, it can be romantic, very romantic. This whole thing is romantic. His bodyguard then leaves and closes the door behind himself, leaving the two of us alone here, which is even more romantic.

We might not be eating anything fancy or at a fancy restaurant in fancy clothes, but this is romantic to me. The two of us eating together in the city of love, what more can possible go wrong? Just by looking at the food, I grow very hungry.

I stand up from the bed and walk over to the table and sit down in one of the chairs and he hands me one burger that is still wrapped in something to keep it warm and fresh. Unwrapping it, the hamburger smell hits my nose and I love it. My stomach is growling at me to start eating that delicious hamburger.

Alexander does the same thing as me and then we dig in. "This is good" I tell him after the first bite, this is actually rather good. I think hamburgers are now my favorite food, just because I have so many memories with him when I'm eating them. I'm falling fast in love with him, and I don't think I will be able to stop that, not that I want to though.

"Yes, it is" He says. "So, how do you like Paris so far?" He asks me, with a huge smile on his face as he finishes eating. He takes much bigger bites than I do and that's why he has finished before me, then again I'm also trying to be slow at eating this hamburger.

I want to savor the flavor because it is so good, my first ever French hamburger. "It's wonderful, I can't believe that one city has this much beauty and I can't wait until tomorrow to start exploring" I tell him and then I take another bite, I've almost finished it and I don't want to finish it.

"Don't worry, we will have all the time in world to explore and check out things that you want to see, I'm also exited to tell you and show you about the adventures I had in school, believe it, it was never boring" He says and I laugh, is anything ever boring when it comes to this man?

"I'll be looking forward to it" I tell him. "I know you will, I mean who doesn't enjoy spending a whole day with me" He says, but he has a smirk on his face and I gasp. He wasn't meaning this in a appropriate way. "I know at least a few, me amongst them" I tell him, well lying actually, I'm only teasing him, he brought this upon himself.

His smirk falls right off his face and replaced with a fake sadness look. "I'm joking" I tell him, but then I realize my words and I blush. His smirk comes right back onto his face. "So you'd like to be in bed with me?" He asks, but I only shake my head.

"Dream on" I tell him with a smirk as I stand up and walk into the bathroom to wash my hands, since I did eat the hamburger with my hands and they are overhead in grease. I wash my hands and then I walk out of the bathroom and to the bed.

I let out a yawn and all the things I have done today has made me so tired, and I really just want to sleep now, and fall asleep and dream. Though, I don't want this to end, I'm still afraid that if I do fall asleep, I will wake up in my own bed back at home and all of this will be gone, I don't want that to happen.

"Here are night wear clothes and a toothbrush and a normal brush for you" He says and hands me this all and I go in/to the bathroom once more. Brush my hair with the hairbrush and my teeth with the toothbrush and then dress myself into the clothes and once I look in the mirror, I see that I look good in them, exactly my style. Then I go back to the bed and go under the covers and close my eyes.
