Rosaline paused for a few seconds as she realized that she was no longer being followed and let out a breath of relief. She slowly looked all around her, making sure that no one was around and headed back towards the well. She couldn't help but feel like someone was still watching her closely so she quickly filled her empty water bucket and hurried home while being cautious enough not to spill the full bucket of water that rested in her shaking hands. When she finally arrived home, she quickly locked the door behind her and set the water bucket down. She was even more thirsty from all the running she just did! She quickly grabbed her cup and filled it with water as she chugged it down to re-hydrate her dry throat.

Something still felt off, so Rosaline ran through the house checking all the rooms to make sure that no one broke you into her house! Everything seemed okay so far, the last room she checked was her mother's room. To her relief, her mother was sleeping soundly in her bed and nothing seemed to be damaged in her bedroom. Rosaline then slowly and quietly shut her mother's bedroom door and headed back to the main room of the house just to double check on everything. Everything seemed to be perfectly in place, just like it was before, except there was a letter resting on the wooden table that was placed in the center of the room. 

Rosaline scratched her head in confusion but reached for the letter anyway. Before opening the letter she let out a gasp! She was shocked to see that the letter she received was stamped with a royal seal! It was no ordinary letter, this letter was sent by the Perditan kingdom! She hesitated to open it at first believing that it could be some sort of mistake! "This must be wrong! They must have sent this letter to the wrong person! There is no universe where I would receive a royal letter! I'm just a peasant girl, why would the royal kingdom make contact with me!" Rosaline mumbled to herself as she paced around the room still contemplating whether she should open the letter or not!

She thought hard for a few seconds "Oh let's just get on with it!" she mumbled to herself as she carefully opened the letter. She pulled out a golden framed white paper letter, but it was no ordinary letter, it was an invitation. Her eyes scanned every word and letter carefully and she couldn't believe what she was reading! She read the letter over two more times to make sure that she had read it correctly! Rosaline Wardwell was formally invited to the royal ball...
