Chapter 4
Rosalina's POV
I just woke up to see the little starling, sleeping peacefully. I smiled and looked over at the position of the sun. Just above the horizon. Time to start up again. I pick up my bag and the sleeping luma, gently placing her in my arms. I headed east, toward the old farm, to start anew.
Looking over the tree I had just struggled to climb on, especially with Luma in my arms, I saw the most extraordinary view I had ever seen in my whole life. Luma yawned and stretched her points. She looked over at me with sleepy eyes. "Hm? Where are we? I thought we..." She stopped as she saw what I was admiring. "In the name of Lumas, that is the most beautiful view I have seen that's not trespassing the forbidden Larina Galaxy." She breathed. It was the fact that in the old barn was a starship of a sort. It was painted of the colours of the Galaxy. There next to it we saw a creature, identical to Luma, except for the fact that the Luma was a light shade of green. It was repairing a broken part of the ship. We got down from the tree and we walked toward the Luma. " Hello there!" I called out. The Luma stopped working and turned to look at us. "Why, hello there young girl!" He beamed at me. As his eyes came upon Luma, his cheery smile faded. "Luma, what are you doing so far from home?" Luma sighed. " I got hit by a fury comet and onto this dreadful planet." She glanced at me. "No offence," I sigh. " Don't worry Luma, I don't like it here either. I want to leave this place," The green Luma stared at me. "Are you sure? Wouldn't your family miss you?" I shake my head. "Well, you and Luma are welcome aboard my starship," he says with a warm and welcoming smile. He then glances at the part of the ship he was repairing. "As soon as it's finished," he adds, sheepishly. "But for now, you can stay in one of the rooms in the starship." We thank him head inside. "Oh and one more thing!" He yells behind us. "My names Daryl Sunshine."
"And my names Rosalina!" I yell back.
(That night)
That night Luma cuddled into the bed covers and hardly moved as she slept. She slept like a child. Me, on the other hand, couldn't sleep at all. So I silently exited the starship and sat next to an apple tree. I gaze upon the stars. They shine so brightly. "Beautiful aren't they?" A voice whispered behind me. I glanced behind me. A male, somewhat around my age. He has blond hair, like mine, with one eye covered. He wore a dark blue hoodie and denim jeans with matching sneakers. The one thing that resembles him, was his eyes. They were a beautiful cyan blue. I couldn't help staring at them. He must have noticed because he was.....blushing?
"I'm sorry to interrupt your thoughts, but I'm travelling with Daryl, and I thought I'd be the only human to do so."
"Same here," I reply. He smiles and sits next to me. I start to feel my cheeks heat up. Wait.... Am I blushing? Why? Cause of him? Well he is hot and all but... "By the way," I turn to face him. " My name is Aiden" My face is even redder then before. " My names-" "Rosalina," he finished. " Daryl told me about you and Luma," I smile at him and lift my head to gaze upon the stars. I notice he does the same. For a few minutes, there was complete silence between us. Then finally I Break the silence by noticing.... " Look! A shooting star! " he glanced at where I was pointing. He closes his eyes. I think he's making a wish.
According to legends, wishing on one of the stars, makes that wish come to reality. But according to the legends my family beloved in, you have to be careful with the stars you wish on. It could be either a Angelic star, or a Devilish comet. Wishing on the angelic one, makes your wishes come to life, but the devilish one makes the opposition of your wish come true. I don't believe either. I never wished on a star. I've always thought they were too childish for my age. But I've always thought they were beautiful.
"Did you know those are Lumas?" He asked, pointing at the sky. I glanced at him. "Really?" I asked. "I thought they were just burning balls of extremely hot gas." He chuckled. "That what I thought as well, but then Daryl explained everything to me. Apparently the Lumas live in clusters. And when a Luma is old enough to handle themselves, they change forms. Some change into stars, comets and more."
I smiled. "Never seen stars in that manner," Aiden looked up again and closed his eyes. I did the same. The night was so magical. But then a call was heard from behind us. "Aiden! Rosalina!" He sighs. "Better go back,"
"Yeah" I agree. He got up before I could and offered a hand to me. "Thank you," I say getting up. "You're welcome," he says and then he murmured something under his breath. "What did you say?" I ask. He looks at me. "It's nothing," Then we heard a big boom behind us. I was horrified. "LUMA! DARYL!"
To be continued...
