"Will! Get the door!" Nico yelled from his room, where he'd been listening to music (again) since he'd placed the order.
"I'm a little busy," Will retorted.
"I don't care, so am I! Now hurry up!"
Will figured he wouldn't argue. He huffed and hurried to the door, where a small pile of paper bills lay.
"Hi, sorry for the, er, delay. How much will it be?" He asked the delivery man.
"Eleven eighty-seven, please."
Will nodded and handed him a twenty. "Keep the change," he said. He was happy for himself for giving the man such a great tip. He then took the pizza from him and shut the door.
"Nico, let's eat." Will prodded open Nico's door to see the boy lying on his bed, looking as peaceful as ever. Was he sleeping? It had only been about five minutes since he'd yelled at him to get the food. His room lights were turned on.
But, sure enough, the inky haired boy was asleep. Or...maybe he wasn't.
Nico's eyes suddenly fluttered open.
"Hello, Nico."
"Hi."
"May I ask why you were pretending to be asleep?"
"Nope."
"Are you hungry?" Will asked.
Nico shifted his position so he was lying on the end of the bead, feet hovering over the pillow.
"You didn't answer me," Will pressed.
"I know."
"Well, I'm going to bring you in some pizza, so you just wait here," Will said before dashing out of the room.
The kitchen itself was fairly small, with black cupboards, (big surprise) white paint, and gray granite counter tops. There were a couple of red accent pieces, but all in all, the kitchen was pretty much those three colors. Just like the rest of the apartment.
He grabbed two plates and napkins, and then he hurried back to Nico's room, while the pizza box wiggled on his unsteady grip. Nico was now lying on his stomach and facing the door.
Nico didn't say anything as Will dished up his pizza and began devouring it. He just watched Will eat. The blond boy didn't even notice that Nico wasn't eating anything. He'd soon finished the whole thing, and the two of them just sat in a silence.
Suddenly, Will said, "Are you okay?"
Nico simply nodded. He wasn't in the mood for this.
"But are you really okay? I want a verbal answer."
He sighed. "Yes. Please don't push things too far, Will. I don't talk that much, okay?"
Will bit his lip. "If you're sure you're alright..."
"Will! We've been through this!"
"Well, not really actually. You just said not to ask about you not liking smiling and stuff."
He suddenly put a hand on Nico's forehead, and he froze. "You're hot, Nico."
"What?" The shorter boy's face had a tint of pink.
"I meant your forehead!" Will clarified. "Do you have a fever, or...?
"Don't touch me again. Go away."
"Not until I get a decent explan-"
Nico whacked the empty pizza box against the wall. "Stop it! Just stop. Please, just get out my room for a bit. I just need to think."
The blond looked worried. "Nico..."
"I said, go away! I don't want you here!" Nico stormed. Will thought he might strike at him if he wasn't careful.
"I'm...sorry. I'll just pretend you aren't here, and then I won't ruin your summer," he said, so softly that Nico probably didn't even hear.
Will didn't even clean up the pizza box and plates when before he left and shut Nico's door.

Bleh, sorry for this crappy filler chapter that's pretty must just drama and dialogue. Some new characters will be in the next chapters, and stuff will start to be put into place soon enough. Sorry for super dramatic Nico as well. He isn't like this the whole story, don't worry. He's just not used to things yet. Comments, votes, follows, and criticism is appreciated! Have a great day!
