As soon as I had collected my bags and known Calum was close behind me, I walked out with determined steps. I was met by a lot of eyes belonging to people who were patiently waiting for their friends or family to come out of the check out.
"Dude, why in such a hurry?" Calum said as he caught up to my side.
"I wanted to get out of there fast so we didn't have to handle with Clifford and asshole" I mumbled before walking trough the alley of people.
"I don't think there's any need to hurry" Calum said and I looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows and an annoyed expression.
"And why's that?" I said in an irritated tone. He just shrugged and nodded his head at something behind me. I turned around and looked at a man in jeans, Liverpool t-shirt and jacket. He was holding up a sign with our names on it, including Clifford and Irwin's. I clenched my jaw and turned to look at Calum who shrugged innocently.
My eyes caught the two boys walking out of the check out with big sport suitcases after them. I narrowed my eyes as they met with Ashton's. He glared at me and tried to walk the other way when Calum stopped them, much to my dismay.
"The car is this way, we're sharing apparently" he said, making both boys turn to look at him. Michael smiled small and nodded, walking over slowly. Ashton stood still, still glaring at me but started walking after his friend.
"Thought you said I wouldn't have to be near this asshole much this trip but here we are the first day and I've been forced to be not even further than 10 feet away" I said harsh, directing my words to Calum while looking at Ashton with a cold look. He scoffed.
"I didn't call him asshole-" Calum said to me before turning to Ashton, "I didn't call you asshole" he said, an apologizing look on his face, making me roll my eyes.
"Nah, it's cool" Ashton said and walked closer to me, Michael looking at him with worried eyes. Ashton walked over to me and as I thought he would walk past me, he slowed down and got closer to my ear, whispering so only I could hear.
"Because that's what you're into, right Barbie? Or should I formulate myself better by saying; getting a dick stuck up your asshole"
I clenched my jaw and fists as he pulled back and smirked big.
"Shut the fuck up" I seethed through clenched teeth. Ashton smirked even bigger as he raised his palms up by his side in a sarcastic way of surrender.
"Just stating the obvious here, Barbie. Where's Ken, in the locker room still?" he chuckled and was about to walk off to the man who was driving us to the camp but I grabbed his arm and pushed him back, digging my fingers painfully hard into his skin.
"You don't know shit" I said in a hushed tone as my grip on him tightened.
"Guys, let's not-"
"I know more than you think, Barbie" Ashton said as he cut off a worried Calum, not even flinching by my hard grip on him.
"Stop calling me that" I said as I pushed him away from me. Ashton scoffed and fixed his shirt that was now a bit messed up by his arm.
"No, you hate it so I will keep calling you that, Barbie"
"I fucking hate you" I said and my fist was itching to punch away the annoying smirk on his face.
"Well, the feeling is fucking mutual" Ashton seethed before Michael placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled him away from me, whispering something to him. I scoffed and turned to look at Calum.
"What was that all about?" he asked as he walked with me over to the man who was still waiting for us.
"Nothing" I mumbled.
"Are you sure? You seem upset about what he said"
"I'm sure, okay?" I snapped, making Calum widen his eyes at me a bit. "I just fucking hate him so much, I can't handle being close to him"
Calum sighed and played an assuring hand on my back. "Be the bigger person in this, okay? Don't let him get to you" he smiled and patted my back before turning to the man, greeting him and shaking his hand.

"Welcome to Liverpool, boys. My name is James Barrett and I am one of the head coaches on this camp"
I looked at the man in front of me. He was dressed in sport clothes and a cap on his head. His strong and thick British accent almost made it hard for me to understand what he was saying.
We had made it to the camp after a long and silent car ride. As soon as we had reached the big school-like building, we had been asked to put away our bags and follow with to the room we were now sitting in.
"We are a team of 5 coaches, whereof three of them will be your head coaches. We are from all around the world, just like you guys, so you will learn football from all kinds of nations"
Another man stepped forward and started to speak from where James had stopped.
"You are all different people from different countries, but you are all here for the same reasons and that is football" he said, his accent making it sound like he was from some latin country.
"We are all aware of that you are all your own person and that you probably never have met any of the people sitting in this room right now, but during this camp you will have to get to know each other and work as a team, even though you are all aiming for your own future" I heard his words, but I wasn't here to make friends, I was here to get signed.
They kept on talking and informing us about stuff but I wasn't really paying attention. My eyes ran over the room and looked at all the guys in my age, sitting there with excited looks on their faces. There was around 30 guys, including Calum and I.
My eyes kept roaming around the room until they landed on Ashton. He was sitting and listening to the coaches talk as he fiddled with his fingers, looking like he was nervous. I scoffed quietly to myself, him being nervous only made it even easier for me break him and get him the hell away from here.
As I was watching him he turned his head and met my eyes. We looked at each other for a while before he raised his eyebrows up as if he was saying what the fuck are you looking at really rudely, but I didn't look away, only subtly gave him the finger.
Ashton scoffed and brought up his hand to his mouth and made a back and forth motion with it while his tongue pressed against his cheek, making it look like he was sucking a dick.
The act made me stiffen and send a burning glare towards him which he only smirked at before turning back his attention toward the coaches.
I clenched my jaw and could feel my skin burning because I hated that boy so fucking much.
"Luke, you're fuming, there's literally smoke coming out of your nostrils" Calum whispered, glancing between me and the coaches who were still talking about how they had a great medical care and you we were about to get a paper to write down if we had any medical issues they had to know about.
"Well, Ashton is fucking pissing me off" I mumbled.
"Ashton? He's sitting on the other side of the room, how can he piss you off?" he asked and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Just being in the same room as him pisses me off"
"Okay, then boys! You know the most important stuff but I see how you all are starting to doze off, that's why we will make you all ready for our first practice. We know most of you have had a long flight and that's why this practice will go slow, we'll only play around a bit and get to know each other before we start for real tomorrow" the third coach said.
"Before you walk away, well count up your rooms and you roommates. You'll be two and two in each room and we have made the roommates so you live with someone from another country so we will get the bonds going"
I sighed both in relief and disappointment because I kind of wanted to live with Calum but was relieved that I didn't have to live with Ashton.
"Okay, so when you get your rooms, there will be uniforms waiting for you. Let's get going then" he said and counted up names I didn't recognize until finally the once I knew was called.
"Michael Clifford and Emil Thomsen, room 5"
"Niall Horan and Calum Hood, room 8" (I had to, lol)
"Luke Hemmings and Philip Stark, room 10"
"Ashton Irwin and Sean Ibori, room 14"
I sighed and stood up, getting ready to head to my room. Our bags had already been placed in our rooms so I slowly walked through the hallways, searching for room 10. I had no idea who the dude I was sharing room with was, but he had a pretty cool surname.
I reached my room and walked in as the door was already open. I was met by a boy with brunette hair that was styled in a fashionable way.
He was quite tall, but not as tall as me. His skin was healthy pale and as I walked into the room, his light brown eyes met my blue ones and he smiled friendly.
"Hey, you're Luke, right?" he asked, his accent not strong enough for me to hear where he was from.
"Yeah. Philip, was it?" I asked and he nodded, walking over to shake my hand.
"Where are you from?" he asked as he had let go of my hand.
"Um, Australia, you?"
"Really? That's really cool, I'm from Germany" he smiled.
"You don't have a very german name" I pointed out.
"Really? Maybe not, I'm half american, so" he shrugged and chuckled lightly. I nodded and smiled.
"Cool" I said before averting my eyes to one of the beds, seeing a black t-shirt with matching shorts lying on my bed.
"Oh yeah, that's the training clothes, or uniforms as they called it" Philip said and walked over to the other bed and held up the black shirt with 'Stark' written on it on the back. I saw that my last name was on the clothes on my bed.
"You ready to play some ball?" Philip asked as he stripped out of his shirt to put on the training one. I turned around to pick up my clothes as well.
"Fuck yes"

"We're playing football tennis just to have some fun before hell starts. We have ten courts built up and if you win your game, you move to the left, if you lose, you stay still. Team up with your roommate!" coach Fischer called out. I turned my head and looked at Philip who was already walking over to me.
"You ready to win?" he asked with a smirk on his face. I chuckled and nodded before walking over to our assigned court.
We both shook hands with the boys on the other side and exchanged names before we started the game. It was laughs involved but I could feel how we all wanted to win this playful game.
"And, time! Winner walks left and losers stay" coach yelled out and Philip and I grinned as we walked to the left, seeing Calum stand on the other side of the net, laughing with a blonde boy beside him. Philip walked over and shook hands with them, so I did as well.
"Niall" the blonde said and smiled as he shook my hand. He had a thick accent and it made me wonder if Calum even understood the things Niall said while having a conversation.
I nodded and introduced myself back before walking over to Calum pinched his cheeks, making him groan loud.
"I reckon you guys know each other from before then?" Philip said, chuckling a bit.
"Yeah, unfortunately" I said and Calum scoffed before I walked over to my place and started the game.
Even though I didn't like to admit it, that Niall dude was a really skilled player and he and Calum worked good together. It hurt, but that was probably why they won over me and Philip with only two points.
I stayed on the court, re-tying my shoes before standing up and my eyes landed on, once again, him.
I let out a groan as he stepped onto the court, making him turn his head from the conversation he had with his teammate/roommate.
He glared as his eyes landed on me. His teammate looked at him and then to me, furrowing his eyebrows at the burning staring competition Ashton and I had.
Philip was oblivious to the hateful stares and walked over to greet Ashton and his teammate I learned was named Sean.
I didn't bother to shake hand with Ashton, mostly because I didn't want to be near him, nor did I want to touch him. He seemed to think so as well because after he had shook hand with Philip, he walked away without a second glance.
"We're gonna win this, we're playing against a goal keeper" I said as Philip stepped back to his spot.
Ashton laughed sarcastically to let me know he had heard my words.
"We're gonna win this, we're playing against a twink" Ashton shot back, glaring at me. Sean looked at him with confusion crossing his face.
I stiffened in my movements and slowly walked closer to the net so I would come closer to Ashton.
"What the fuck did you just call me?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. Ashton smirked because he knew exactly what he did to me and I hated myself for falling for his trap.
"You didn't hear me Barbie? I called you a twink" Ashton said and moved a bit closer to me as well.
"Shut the fuck up, Irwin"
"You're being unreasonable now. You are telling me to repeat myself and now you're telling me to shut up? You better get your mind right, Barbie" he spoke quietly.
"Hey! Why haven't you started your game yet? Come on, start before the time runs out" coach told us, making everyone look up.
"Yeah, come on, let's play" Sean said, clapping his hands to get us back to what we should do. "Get the ball, Ash"
Ashton looked down at the ball down at his feet. He looked at it and then up at me. I clenched my teeth together as he was frustrating me.
"Are you gonna get it or not?" I snapped as he kept glancing back and forth between me and the ball. He shrugged and put on a sarcastic look of fear.
"Only if you promise you won't put your dick in my ass when I bend over to pick it up"
I looked up to see him having that annoying smirk on. My fists were clenched so hard that my nails dug into my palms.
I hated him so much and all I wanted to do was to punch that stupid look off of his face, but I didn't. I was going to go after Calum's words and be the bigger person in this, I wouldn't let him get to me.
I turned around to walk away from him when he spoke up again, a bit louder this time so both Philip and Sean was able to hear.
"Shit sorry, I forgot; you're the one taking it up the ass"
As soon as the words left his mouth, I had turned around and let my fist collide with his jaw, hard.
The thump sound made it feel like everything around us stopped. Ashton slowly moved his head up to look at me again, holding his sore jaw.
In a blink of an eye, Ashton's fist collided with my left cheekbone, making me stumble back.
I was just about to throw yet another punch in his face but was pulled and held back, Ashton being the same.
"What the fuck do you two think you are doing?" Coach Barrett said sternly, making both Ashton and I look up at him.
Everyone was standing still, looking at what was going on.
"You're coming with me to the office, now" he said and sent us both hard glares.
I felt myself growing worried of what was going to happen now. Would he go to the extreme point of send me home?
I walked with my head hung low to avoid meeting the looks of the other guys'. It was embarrassing to walk through the alley of eyes on you, probably judging your every move and it was only the first day of the camp.
As we had walked that depressingly long way to the office, I sat down on one of the chairs across from coach.
"Are you going to sit down as well, Irwin?" coach asked and looked at Ashton as he stood near the corner of the room, not looking like he was tempted to sit down on the chair beside me.
"I'd rather stand and keep a distance from Hemmings, coach" Ashton said, spitting my name out like venom.
"I advice you to sit down now Ashton, otherwise your consequences will be worse than they already are" coach said, an even more stern voice now.
Ashton sighed and sat down on the chair, not so subtly moving it further away from me, making me roll my eyes.
"Care to explain why you were fighting during practice? May I remind you that you were fighting in front of all of your teammates?" he said, looking between us.
None of Ashton and I said anything. I just looked down at the desk in front of me and Ashton just nonchalantly shrugged. Coach sighed and leaned forward to lean against his desk.
"I've heard a lot about both of you. Both of you are a long way from home, all the way from Australia. When I read the papers about you two, I was very sceptic about you.
"I've never even thought about Australia in football, and seeing I had four boys from Australia to train during summer, I was quite surprised, but I was excited to see what you got. I've seen small clips of every player, but that doesn't give justice to the real thing.
"You can then almost imagine how disappointed I am now when I sit here with those players I had made out to be my favorites, and have to lecture them because they broke out in a fist fight during practice" coach said, looking at us with sincere eyes. I sighed while fiddling with my fingers, feeling like a fucking idiot for probably dumping my future like trash because of this fucking fight.
"I've also heard about your issues with each other from your friends" he said, making both Ashton and I raise our gazes so we were looking at him with raised eyebrows.
"I don't think I've ever heard about two people having so much problems with each other. You are soon grown ups, will you still let this conflict run your lives?"
Still, we sat quiet, looking at coach. He sighed.
"Here at this camp, you're here to play football and you're here to make yourselves into professionals. We are not here to hate, throw comments at each other, and we're definitely not here to fight" he said in a harsh voice.
"So what should we do to solve this problem? What do you think Luke?"
I looked at him and shrugged, biting my lip as I felt my cheek throbbing from Ashton's punch.
"I think I know how to solve the problem, and if it doesn't solve it, it will make you guys learn a lesson" coach said and stood up from his chair.
"What?" Ashton asked, sounding quite worried to hear the answer.
"You two will have to learn how to deal with each other because I'm making you two roommates, throughout the whole summer"
