"Food in the fridge, leftover pizza, eat it cold. I don't trust any of you with a microwave, take the dogs out at least twice or once and do it one at a time. Go out with a hood or hat to cover your face. Peter and Cassie light out at 9:30pm with no food after 7 to make sure Billy gets melatonin. I don't want another stay up all night. My number and Yelenas are on the fridge and some other persons that Clint gave me please don't call that number unless one of you is bleeding out oh and-"

"Kate, they'll be fine." Yelena treasures the girl and hand on the archer's shoulder.

Kate takes a breath, Yelena's right, everything will be fine. It's not like they're being hunted down by assassins. Or the government. Or pretty much everyone.

"I'm just making sure, just in case." She says instead of snarky comment, it's date night, and she promised to be on her best behavior for Yelena .

"Come now. You promised 4 hours, it is now 3 hours and 59 minutes, let us go." Yelena wined pointing to her watch but Kate couldn't help but trail from the watch and down her body. Yelena had decided to dress extra fancy wearing a black dress that tugged at her waist showing off her hourglass body. Simple, fancy, and hot, very hot.

It made Kate's button up and light caramel blazer look petty.

But hey her sunglasses made a nice touch. Even though it was definitely not bright outside. A girl can try though.

"Of course M'lady to the limo!" Kate said, snapping out of her trance and grabbing Yelena's wrist and slamming the door behind them.

"By Limo you mean taxi?"

"Of course I mean taxi, I can't drive." Kate straightened her blazer dropping Yelena's wrist and letting out a breath looking at Yelena once again more than she should.

"Unl-ess you..you don't want-t to , we could always just..wait for the bus." Kate stuttered.

"Mm..are you nervous Kate Bishop? Do I scare you." Yelena purred which sent shivers down Kate's spine.

"No. No you do not scare me. You confuse me, you and you're stupid nice dress, your stupid sexy accent your st-"

Yelena just rolls her eyes grabbing the taller girl by her blazer and pulling her out to the streets of New York and calling a cab.

The entire ride Kate and Yelena just stared at each other having conversations with their eyes, and Kate could tell that Yelena was about to eye fuck her before they finally pulled up to their destined place.

Yelena let out a low whistle exiting the Taxi and Kate can't help but feel pride swell up in her chest, Yelena Belova totally liked her chosen restaurant, crazy, absolutely-

"Do they have mac and cheese?"

Kate snorted but Yelena just looked at her with a confused face, "Oh baby..come on let me show you some good food."

Le Bernardin. 4.7 stars, yelp said it was fancy and had killer champagne, something Kate instantly thought was a winner. She quickly reserved earlier today while taking a walk with Cassie asking for her thoughts which Cassie (being the pain in the ass she was) just shrugged and threw the ball for Fanny to catch.

So she just went to Peter about it but the dude was flustered and said that it wasn't really his thing.

Tommy wasn't having it either, just laughed flipped Kate off and went on to endless sulking, Teddy and Billy gave the thumbs up though so it had to be good.

"Yeah reservations for Violet Baxton, party of two."

Yelena smirked when they were seated, "Violet?"

"Though it had a nice ring, Violet...great shade of purple. Plus the nicknames are endless , Vi, my little grape-" Kate continued to rant grabbing the menu taking a look.

"Grape? Little grapes? Oh Kate Bishop, we need to work on your nicknames." Yelena took the menu from Kate's hand and skimmed through it herself, Kate just rolled her eyes, used to the assassin stealing all her things at this point.

"I think it's cute."

"You're very strange Kate Bishop, Oooo champagne!"

Kate smiled at the excited blonde her pupils wide at the range of champagne to pick from, Kate knew now that she had picked out a great restaurant. They even had some Mac and cheese if requested which is exactly what Yelena asked for but Kate knew she would definitely be starving with just a small bowl of Mac and cheese so Kate ordered their steak along with arrays of salad and of course spaghetti.

"Kate bishop...this is a lot of food, we are going to get fat, and you are broke no?" Yelena asked.

Okay so technically Kate is broke right now, just because she hasn't yet gotten right to Bishop security nor her money that her dad gave her in his will. As soon as her mom's court day comes around though Kate will for sure get those rights with her amazing lawyer and be totally rich again. So right now she's using Clint's credit card numbers.

"Yeah...don't tell Clint but I'm using his credit card-"

Yelena raised an eyebrow and scoffed, "And you did not tell him? Or get caught?"

Kate shifted under Yelena's gaze, "I mean it's Clint it was pretty easy I also stole one of the trick arrows to try and make my own...still in progress on the boomerang and skittle arrow."

Yelena let out a sudden laugh to Kate's surprise and reached under the table grabbing Kate's hand squeezing it. Kate melted at the touch of her hand, instantly wrapping around Yelenas running her thumb around Yelena's rings.

"I'm proud that you are turning into a master thief, soon we will not only be the archer and the assassin but the archer thief and assassin dou."

Kate asked, "You are forgetting the gang The Archer-Thief and Assassin plus a bunch of weird children."

Yelena took a huge bite of her Mac and cheese, "No no. Weird looking kids!" Yelena flung her fork pointing it at Kate, "Bunch of weird looking kids that have an interesting future ahead of them." Yelena mumbled the last part slowly chewing her food.

"Yeah, I feel..I feel bad." Kate said, picking at her food, "I mean I was sure I was putting together this..this new avengers! I was so excited for something to finally fix my boredom of just waiting around for Clint to give me a call for some lame training or stakeout thing."

Kate looked up from the stake looking into Yelena's eyes.

"I know it's selfish of me. Selfish of me to drag every single of these kids into this shit. I should've listened to you, they're going to get killed...none of them know how to fight, Billys got wicked powers that he can't control, Cassie's like 16 and a family!"

Yelena gets quiet and Kates afraid, afraid Yelena will stand up and leave furious, but instead Yelena gives Kate's thigh a squeeze and there was a small..smile? On Yelena's face.

"It is not selfish to try and change the world. It's not like they were going to have a normal living arrangement either. If anything they have more of a family then they had before." Yelena finally says and it's a huge surprise to Kate, she leans in just wanting to kiss Yelena and thank her for everything, but of course nothing is that easy.

They are inches away from each other when the entire restaurant shakes, and Kate's first thought is an earthquake under the table but Yelena shakes her head pointing at the filled wine glass in front of them. Floating.

"Holy...shit...Holy shit!" Kate yells as more and more start floating. She thinks maybe it's Billy? Did they not give him his damn melatonin? Those kids never listen-

The shaking increases but instantly stops everything that was floating now dropping, Yelena tilts her head Kate can practically hear the gears turning in the assassins head but all Kate can think is how cool that was and whoever did that party trick sounds like a really cool person that Kate would like to meet.

CRASH

The window that Kate and Yelena are sitting next to is bursting open with a blue streak flying through the restaurant.

Kates was thrown out of her thoughts, no literally she was THROWN out of her thoughts, someone grabbed her by the collar and is flying her straight into a wall.

"Futz.." Kate muttered trying to protect her head as much as she can because she really does not want another concussion but the impact of the wall never comes instead she's just flying and flying. At first she thinks she's dead and she really gets mad at god for that, couldn't let her die in the past actually had to let her die when she was happy? Just her luck. But it's the impact as she tumbles into the ground that she's not dead but alive and in a lot of pain.

The pain comes in waves, it's small but then it hits her again she lets out a cough clutching her stomach desperately trying to breathe right, it's not that hard Kate breathes.

It's not that hard to-

"Wow! Hey!" Kates is being lifted by her collar again and she's met with a young girl that definitely should not be able to pick her up with such strength.

"Where are they?" The girl asks furiously and Kate just looks at her with an annoyed look.

"I have to be more specific..I know a lot of people."

Bullshit, Yelena would call, you have no friends.

"The twins! Where are they! I don't hold back my punches chica and I would hate to ruin such a pretty face."

Great threats and flirts!

Kate really wishes Yelena was here. 

IM SO SORRY IT TOOK THIS LONG FOR AN UPDATE but it was actually for a good reason, not a mental health issue this time! I've been seeing this girl for the past 2 weeks and have been pouring all my attention to her i've barley been on my phone besides when im texting her, shes amazing and updates might be a little rocky right now but I will try my best. Im thinking about releasing the future daughter fic this week I will try my best.
