Once we got back to our dorm, Jungkook plopped on the couch, manspreading with the plate of food in his lap.
After he ate his food, he threw away the trash and came back to sit down and watch TV. However, I had other plans.
"Jungkook, we need to do something about your room," I sighed and told him. He just looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about.
"What do you mean? My room is fine," Jungkook sank back into the couch, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.
"Oh is that so? Come show me how it's perfectly fine," I stood up, grabbing Jungkook's wrist and making steps towards his room, earning a whine from the muscle bunny.
Once we went inside, I almost puked again. I hope you remember how it looked last time, because I am not restating that scene. I almost gagged.
"Ok, please tell me what to do and where to start," Jungkook pleaded, giving me those adorable bambi eyes that I just couldn't resist.
"Ok, so first we need to stay safe from any of.... this.." I implied his entire freaking room. I went to go get masks and gloves, as well as a broom and a dustpan.
After getting prepared, we went straight to work. Jungkook cleaned out his closet, shoe rack, and all the crap on the floor, in the trash can, etc. while I cleaned his sheets, his desk and bathroom. It took 4 and a half hours to clean this whole thing up, but it was so worth it.
Spraying some vanilla perfume of mine into his room, I called it done. Only when I saw Jungkook did I realize what I've done.
"Oh, I'm so sorry- we can use your cologne or something if you want," I asked him, but he just smiled. "Don't worry about it, I like the scent," he replied.
"Thanks for helping me out, I finally can clear my mind and have some real peace. I'll try my absolute best to keep it like this all the time," the bunny-teethed man patted my shoulder, as I crossed my arms: "You better." Jungkook chuckled, ruffling my hair. For some reason, I blushed a little.
"I'll be back Soojin, I have to do something really important real quick," Jungkook left the dorm abruptly. Huh. "Oh, okay," was all that I could say. I wondered what was so important to him that he had to do, but I didn't want to be nosy, so I just went back to my room to catch up on some assignments.
5 minutes later, and Jungkook still wasn't back. I was a bit worried, so I went to go open the door. Right then, an adorable package came.
A pretty, pastel pink box with a white bow was outside, a little letter under the ribbon. Smiling, I took it inside and placed it on the dining table.
Removing the lid, my eyes sparkled, my smile growing even more. Ah!
A brand new pair of perfectly pristine, luxurious pearly white glasses with little rhinestones and pearls on the sides, encased in a Tiffany & Co. glasses case. Also inside was a box of contacts.
Grinning from ear to ear, my cheeks flushed a light shade of pink. My secret admirer is spoiling me too much. Opening the letter up, I read it:
Dear Soojin,
Hope you like your gift! I wasn't sure which one you would prefer, so I got you both. Either way, I hope that with whichever you choose, you're able to see your beauty after, since you are the most beautiful girl in the world.
love,
your secret admirer <3
My heart was melting at this point. How considerate! However, that made me suspicious. Whoever sent this, knows that I broke my glasses. That means it's someone in my friend group! Someone I know likes me! Now I can narrow the list down.
Right as I was thinking, Jungkook came back. "Oh good, you're back! I was worried," I smiled at him. He chuckled, "sorry, it went longer than planned," he replied.
Looking at the box, he had an intrigued look on his face. "What's that you got there?" he asked, eyeing my pink face.
"I have a secret admirer! And they keep spoiling me with all these gifts. See? They even got me new glasses!" I wore them, taking a look in the mirror. They looked so pretty!
"You look beautiful in them," Jungkook quietly said, hoping that I wouldn't hear. Too bad bunny, you're not very good at being quiet.
"What?" I pretended I wasn't listening. "Oh, nothing. Those are cool glasses," Jungkook replied, a smug smile on his face. Oh, this silly bunny.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Jungkook asked me, resting his arms on the marble kitchen island. "Sure! What do you want to watch?" I asked, but Jungkook started to chuckle a bit. Oh no.
"I'd like to watch a horror movie, please. If that's okay with you, of course," the muscle bunny kindly asked. After asking like that, how can I say no? Even if I hate horror movies, I can't reject him after he's learning how to use his manners.
"S-sure, that's fine," I nervously chuckled, and Jungkook's face softened. "If you get scared, I'm right next to you," he spoke with a smile. I returned the grin, heading to the couch and covering myself in a blanket.
This horror movie was scary as fuck. Jumpscares when you would least expect it, eerie music that gave you the shivers, gory scenes that made you want to vomit and look away, but you just couldn't? Yep, that's how I was feeling.
I didn't want to seem like a "pick-me," so I kept my fear to myself, shivering as I slouched under the blanket. Jungkook noticed, scooting closer and putting his hand out.
"Do you wanna hold my hand? It might help you relax," Jungkook innocently told me, as I gave him a perplexed look. Hold his hand? Oh my. Wait- Soojin, why are you overreacting? It's not like you have a crush on him or anything.
"I-I'm okay, thanks though," I sheepishly replied, going back into my blanket cave where it is safe. However, Jungkook had other plans.
Taking my hand from under the blanket, Jungkook gently held it with care and love. Rubbing my hand with his thumb, I was starting to get butterflies. He was holding my hand like it was a baby bird.
Although I was still flustered, I did feel more at ease. Now, my attention wasn't on the movie, it was on Jungkook.
What the hell happened to this man? Who made him start to change? Whoever put the idea into his head, I will love them forever and ever.
Jungkook went from a dumbass playboy to a goody two-shoes, or at least he's on that track. I just didn't expect this kind of behavior from him.
Not only that, but the fact that he wants to change? He wants to change to benefit not only for his family and friends, but for himself too? I find that kind of attractive. Soojin- shut the hell up. You don't like him. You don't like him. You don't like him.
But what if you're starting to?
