"Soojin dear, get up!" I heard my dad call me from outside the door. Gosh, what's so important today that all of a sudden he has to wake me up? I heard the door open and I could hear footsteps, until I suddenly felt the blankets being pulled.

"Mmmph! I wanna sleep!~" I whined, trying to pull the blankets back to myself. I don't get enough sleep as I should. Can he at least let me get some beauty sleep today? I guess not.

"Did you already forget? Today you have university!" my dad spoke in a jolly tone. Oh right, university. I completely forgot. I sat up straight from my bed, and I could see my dad try to hold in his laugh from my messy bed-head self.

"Just let it out dad.." I rolled my eyes, but immediately covered my ears from how loud he cackled. Geez, this man. I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom, doing my morning routine.

I went to my closet and picked a nice outfit for today. I wore a white collared shirt, with a crimson red sweater to go on top of it, and some plain jeans with my black boots. I looked cute, not gonna lie. However, I knew my confidence was going to dwindle the minute I put on my big ass, bulky glasses. Ok, they aren't that bulky but I hate them. I mean, who wants to wear glasses?!

I took a white bow and put it in my hair, pulling some pieces from the front to finish my look. I curled my lashes and put some mascara, finishing my look with a few swishes of blush, and putting on some chapstick.

I went to my room and made my bed, carefully setting all the throw pillows where they should be, and checking my suitcase to make sure I packed everything. Yep, all good.

I went downstairs to see my dad cutting up some fruits and putting it in a bowl. "There is breakfast, now we better get going or your gonna be late!" I stuffed all the fruit into my mouth, and ran down the hall to the garage, throwing my suitcase in the back trunk, and slammed the door as I sat in the passenger seat, buckling my belt.

"That's a first.." my dad chuckled. And with that, he started the car and we went to Juseong University, where I will be studying for the next two years.

I opened the door and I was greeted by the light wind, the emerald-colored greenery all around, birds chirping different sounds, and the people chattering. It was pretty nice.

"Alrighty, that's it. Are you sure your going to be okay?" My dad asked for the sixteenth time the entire way here, and again now. I glared at him. "Dad, I already told you a million times, I'm gonna be just fine," I reassured him with a smile. His lips curved up a little and he gave me one last kiss on the forehead before waving goodbye as he made his way to the car. I was really gonna miss him.

When I was only two years old, my parents got divorced. My mom isn't the nicest person to him, but both my dad and I know she loves me a lot. Because my mom lives overseas, she could only visit once or twice a year, and my dad took care of me ever since. He has always been by my side, through everything. Thick and thin. It's gonna be awkward without him. I don't know how to make friends, I actually don't.

I turned around and got my luggage, making my way to the check-in section for university. I waited in line for a few minutes, until I finally made it to where I was standing in front of an elderly lady.

"Hello sweetie, name?" She asked as she started to shuffle through papers. "Kang Soojin," I smiled at her. She continued to shuffle until she found my schedule. She put some keys in an envelope, and gave it to me with the paper. "Those keys are for your dorm, and there is your schedule. Welcome to Juseong University," she smiled. I bowed down and took my luggage inside the ginormous, prestigious university. I eventually got my bags to fit in the elevator, and I went up to my floor, the highest one there.

I made it out and pushed the bags to the dorm. Room 1069. Huh. I was about to grab my keys until I saw the door already open. I peeked inside and saw nobody there, so I grabbed my bags and went inside the room.

It was so beautiful, and so big. So aesthetically pleasing, my eyes were just blessed. Right then, I saw someone walk into the hall.

"Oh, hey there! Are you my dorm buddy?" She asked with a polite tone. "Uhm.. u-uh I think so.." I stuttered. I am not good with people whatsoever, that is until I get to know them. "Nice to meet you, I'm Yuqi," she stuck her hand out for a handshake. "I-I'm Soojin.." I stuttered again as I accepted her handshake. Gosh, I'm so awkward.

"Are you like those really shy people?" she chuckled and spoke again. "No need to worry, I don't bite," we both giggled a bit. She looked at my keys for a few seconds and her eyebrows furrowed.

"Wait.. can I see your keys?" she put her hand out. "Yeah, sure.." I immediately handed them to her. "Oh dear, you got it mixed up. This is room 1068. Your room is the one next door," she told with a bit of a glum smile. Aw man, she was so nice! Who knows, maybe I'll be friends with my actual roomie.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry about that," I apologized. "No no! Don't be sorry, it happens. But honestly I wish we were roommates, you seem so sweet," she frowned. "Hope we can be friends!" she put out her arms for a hug and I accepted it. My first friend in a while, wow. Hopefully she's a real one.

I waved a sad goodbye to her as I went to my actual room, room 1069. Why is it weird to me? I don't know, I'm getting bad vibes. I was about to unlock the door with the keys, until I heard something I have never heard in my life, and something I don't want to hear again.

A moan.
