Chapter III
Self-consciously, I scanned the corridor, looking for a golden-plated sign with the Number '7'. Yes, gold-plated. This school has gold-plated, signs. Weird, eh?
"Seven - Eight - Nine- AH!" I cursed myself, muttering under my breath. How could I have missed it?
"Here it is!" I huffed in pure triumph, "Now, to open this stupid thing."
Impatiently, I gripped the key to my Dorm-room, fumbling idiotically, trying to open the mahogany door; I am such an idiot.
"There we- KYA!" I tumbled forward as the door opened, as if by magic.
How strange.
Huffing, once again, I gathered myself up, and headed inside. Instantly, I cringed at the disorderliness of the Room.
Crap, I've got so much work to do!
"I swear to Mavis, I will murder my Room-mate." A vein popped dangerously on my forehead; I was beyond mad.
"I SWEAR TO MAVIS, I WILL-" I was - very rudely, may I add - interrupted by a pair of hands over my lips. Too baffled to react, and wondering who had the audacity to dare do this, I furrowed my eyebrows, letting my captivator continue to hold me.
"Well, well." A deep, almost comforting, voice mumbled, "Who do we have here?"
Maybe a quick nip on these hands, I'll have him screaming! - Sweet revenge.
"Oh, no, sweetheart. I wouldn't do that." His grip tightened ominously, I had the sudden urge to scream. "That would, most definitely, be a terrible idea."
Right, that's it!
Plucking up my courage, I judo-flipped him; Placing my knee firmly on his chest, I gazed, with a ferocious stance, into his eyes.
What beautiful eyes they were.
Azure locks greeted me as I stared at him.
"Hello." His voice, this time, was strained, almost. "Uh, I think you should get off of me, now..." The Man added shyly.
Out-going and Strong, one second, and shy, and kawaii, another?
"Um, Miss?" He grinned; It was a lop-sided, playful grin. "As much as I love this, I think we should introduce ourselves, erm, more formally?"
"O-oh, Yes! Of course!" Rushed, I placed my knee on the tiled floor, of our dorm, getting up. "Gomen!" I offered him my hand.
"Heh, no problem." He smiled, accepting it, "The name's Jellal. Jellal Fernandes."
"Jellal Fernandes?" His name rolled off my tongue, with an exotic flair. I've never heard such a lovely name before. "Jellal Fernandes."
The Blue-haired man, rolled his dark-emerald, onyx eyes, teasingly, "Yes, my name's Jellal Fernandes." He repeated as if talking to a toddler.
I shall not be disrespected in this indecent way!
Crossing my arms, I huffed, for the third time, and glared at him. "I'm Erza."
"Just Erza?" Jellal tilted his head, questioningly, "Don't you have a Surname?"
"Yes." I added, stubbornly, "Just, Erza." I mimicked him, staring right into the depths of his mesmerizing eyes; Mavis, what's going to happen now?
As if on cue; As if written on a script, a book, a page - He stepped forward, gently taking hold of a lock of my hair. Taken aback, I tried not to show that I was feeling incredibly insecure.
"How about Erza Scarlet? That way I'll never forget! I'll just have to remember your pretty scarlet hair!"
I fought down another blush, grinning. "Then I'll be Erza Scarlet," I whispered. The name was like glass; I was scared I was going to break it, as it was so precious and perfect.
"Erza Scarlet." He smiled, letting go of my hair, and walked away silently. I could tell he was flustered, by his body language. A bang on the door told me that he was long gone.
Scarlet hair. Not red... But Scarlet.
