CHAPTER 54

I felt a happy surge of goose-bumps quickly travel up and down my arm, the same way it did last Monday when I saw the 'Welcome To Chicago Illinois' sign again. Not long now babe...it felt like an entire century since I'd seen her last, and my missing her felt even longer than that.

I had been driving all night for about six hours straight, but I didn't feel tired at all, not one little bit, because the excitement in my heart over seeing her again was enough to keep me going to the ends of the earth and back until I found her.

I slowed the car down when it indicated I was getting closer to my destination. I had allowed my GPS to bring me back to the address I had dropped her off at last week, and I made sure to take in every little detail of the small quaint looking town that my Queenslayer was from. It wasn't the best place I'd ever I'd ever visited in the US, but it had her. And I'm sure she made it look beautiful wherever she went.

I finally turned the car onto a quiet looking road, and immediately began getting butterflies as I recognised the cute house with its neatly trimmed hedge...TAYLOR!

I paused for a second to check my reflection, quickly smoothing my hands through my hair, and reaching into my gym bag on the back seat to spray on a little cologne. I looked over at the house and smiled...my god babe, I've missed you so much!

I slowly pulled the car up to her residence, then turned off the engine and got out...I just hope you're not mad at me babe for all that's happened, because I don't plan on leaving Chicago without you. I took a long deep breath, and made my way up to the door...

Ding dong...ding dong...

I stood waiting patiently for her to open the door, but she never did. I looked up at the residence, smiling at the pretty lace curtains that hung at each window, before leaning over to ring the bell again...

Ding dong...ding dong...ding dong...

Still no answer. I looked at my watch...7:02am...hm, it's still pretty early, maybe she's sleeping? I was just about to turn away and go find a café somewhere where I could perhaps get myself a morning coffee before coming back and trying to knock her again, when the door to her residence suddenly opened and an older blonde lady poked her head out ''can I help you?'' she asked softly.

That must be Taylors mom...

''Hi there, um...Mrs. Anderson, I uh...I'm so sorry to wake you up this early, but uh...is Taylor home? I'm actually a friend of hers and...''

''I'm sorry'' she interrupted ''...but I'm not Mrs Anderson''

''Oh'' I said, looking at her confused.

''But there's a Mr. Anderson if you'd like to speak with him'' she smiled kindly.

''Uh...yeah, sure'' I smiled at her politely.

I watched as the lady ducked back inside the residence for a second, and came back to the door with a tall looking gentlemen who had slightly grey hair and reading glasses on.

''May I help you?'' he asked, stepping out from the house and looking me up and down...not exactly the way I want to meet the parents, but here goes...

''Hello Mr. Anderson, um, I was just asking the nice lady if Taylor was home...I'm a friend of hers from out of tow-''

''My daughter doesn't live here Sir'' he said.

''Oh but...I thought that this was her ho-''

''Taylor lives with her Mother on the lower east side of town'' he said, looking at me a little curiously.

''Oh'' I said again, starting to get a little confused now '' well um...is there any way you could tell me where that is? Because I've been trying to reach her, but it seems as if her cells been turned off all week'' I said sadly.

''I'm sorry, but I'm not giving my daughters location to a stranger'' he said sternly.

I wanted to tell him that we were far from strangers, but how do I tell him how I knew his daughter without sounding disrespectful?

Instead I just lowered my head my and began to slowly walk away...

''Wait a second...'' he said, walking up behind me and peering a little closer at my face...''don't I know you from somewhere?''

TAYLOR POV:

I'd arrived back at moms quite late last night after watching Raw at Courtney's house. She wasn't impressed that I had stayed out so long, but I just apologized and went up quietly to my room because I really didn't need any extra hassle right now. I hadn't slept a wink all night just thinking about all that happened yesterday, and what Seth did to Randy later on in the show which I knew was completely unscripted. It was all over social media by the time I had left Courtney's house, but as soon as I got home, I left all the drama behind me. I still wasn't ready to turn my phone on yet, and I told Court if she needed to contact me, it's best to call the house phone instead.

It was coming up to 8:00am and I still hadn't slept a wink, all I could do was sit and think about him, and torture myself to death with the last real image I had of him leaving my Dads that day. I was really stating to miss him now, and the heartache was tearing though me like a tidal wave, and I was finding it impossible to take anymore.

I decided that instead of being cooped up all day and shutting myself away from the world, that I should be brave, come out of hibernation, and face the world head on. I was just about to reach for my cell to turn it on when the doorbell suddenly rang.

Oh my God Court, it's so early...I thought, as I quickly pulled my Seth tee-shirt on and made my way to the door...
