"Spider-man is a menace!!!

It was an average day in new york. James jonah johnson was ranting about how much he hates Spider-man. Spider-Man himself was swinging across the city. He was finally done for the day and wanted to find a place to sit and think. "BOO!! SPIDER-MAN!!" citizens yelled as they watch the spider hero swing. Yeah, a painfully normal day.

He swung across the city trying to avoid any angry crowds. He ended up on the opposite side of the city where an old apartment building was. The building was slightly run down vines grew on the sides and some windows were cracked. He landed on the empty rooftop it was slightly cracked and had old toys where kids left them and never came back. He sat on the edge of the roof and let his feet dangle off of the building. He moved his mask up to his nose he finally got a chance to catch his breath.

"I'll give you half just please don't tell my mom."

A teenager stood in front of the doorway. Their eyes were pleading and begging the older teen. Katie Jones-Takahashi Stood at the doorway listening to the younger boy. Katie sighed, "No Jamie, I'm not going to lie to them. Your about to fuck up your life and I don't want to help you do it."

"I'm not going to fuck up my life, it's going to save it." Jamie stared into Katie's eyes wanting her to understand. His lips crooked up into a smile and his eyebrows furrowed. "When I get this money my and me family won't have to live in this shithole anymore."

"Frist off Jamie, this shithole is our home. Second off I fully believe in you and that you can get out of here, but not in this way Jamie." Katie said placing both of her hands on his shoulders. "Please Jamie don't do this." They stood like that for a minute before Jamie ripped his shoulders away from her. Jamie took one more look into her eyes before he ran off.

A part of Katie wanted to run after him but she knew it would only cause more trouble. She sighed and grabbed her book bag that was by the doorway. She locked her door and made her way to the rooftop. There was a door to the rooftop that should be locked but the handle was broken off.

When she opened the door a guy was sitting on the edge. dressed up as Spider-Man classic flash. He seemed so calm and relaxed she almost didn't want to yell at him. Something seemed off about him, Flash was bigger and definitely not calm. Flash would be parading around the roof telling the world he was Spider-Man. "Flash Flash hundred yard dash!" She yelled trying to see if it really was him or not.

Spider-man looked over at her and quickly pulled down his mask. She started to make her way over to that side of the roof "You know what I told you about faking Spider-Man.." The mystery spider was finally face-to-face with her and as she got closer she could see the details in his suit. "Okay, so your not Flash." She said picking a spot right beside the spider. She placed her bag on the roof before sitting crisscrossed applesauce on the edge.

"Hard day?" She asked while pulling out some books from her bag. Both of the strangers stared straight ahead to a billboard that had iron man spry painted on it. Yeah, your right I'm not Flash I'm Spider-Man" Katie Let out a laugh forcing the spider to look over at her.

"Like the real one? Are you for sure" She said swallowing her laugh.

"Yeah." He said in a very sassy 'Duh' voice. He pointed at his outfit Katie couldn't see his face but she knew what it was. She could feel the sassiness and condescendingness from here, it was so powerful it almost pushed her off the roof. "Now I know why you look so beat up," She said with a snort sticking her tongue out. Spider-man gave her an annoyed look.

Katie took out her calculator punching in some numbers. "at least I can calculate 6•9 without a calculator." He said the pettiness taking over. She side-eyed him with a frown. "Geez you're so petty"

"comes with being a genius I guess"

Katie rolled her eyes so hard looked like they were going to roll away. "If you're so smart help me." She said placing her book into his lap. At that moment his stomach growled louder than the music from the neighboring house. They looked at each other and Katie smiled at him. She reached down into her bag and pull out a container of fruits and a dip. "Here have as much as you want.." He pulled up his mask and started stuffing down the food. He hasn't eaten anything all day.

She smirked and at that moment he stopped. "..But you have to help me." Katie smiled brightly at him almost covering the fact that she tricked him. She let down her smirk and let it fall into a frown. "I'm switching schools soon, it's on the other side of the city." She pushed her hair back behind her ears with a sigh, She said, "The school is on a higher learning curve than the schools here. I'm lucky enough I got in but I don't know if I can keep up."

Spider-man looked her up and down before eating another strawberry. "I don't know a busy schedule saving new york and all." He said a small smile making its way onto his lips.

"What about after office hours," She said now her full body facing him. "Do you know how being a hero works?" He said leaning into the conversation a smile now fully appeared. Katie glared at him "After hours, free food, sounds like a dream" She said trying to convince a guy dressed up as a spider-man sitting on her roof. They held eye contact for a minute "Fine" He said his smile never leaving his face.

"So how do I contact you? Spider signal? Get it like Batman" She said laughing at her own dumb joke. Spider-man gave her a dumb look she still couldn't see his face but she left the annoyance. It didn't last too long before he let out a chuckle too. "How about we meet around 11ish? If I don't show I'm doing my job."

"Deal," She said holding out her hand for him to shake it. He grabbed her hand, "Don't forget the food." He let go of her hand and jump off the roof. She smiled seeing him in the distance web-slinging.
