Dawn's POV

I rode with Paul in the ambulance to the hospital. The whole way I was crying and murmuring into his hand while Drew was sitting beside me comforting me. I was crying and sobbing. "Dawn, he wouldn't want to see you like this." Drew kept telling me. But I kept shaking my head. I won't believe that's what he wants. He told me to move on if anything happens to him but I know that will never happen. Not while I'm here.

When we got to the hospital, Paul was rushed into surgery. The nurses had to hold me back from going into the surgery room. I was stuck outside with the rest of the gang. I was really stressful until Misty handed me her stress ball and I kept it in my hand. I must've fell asleep because the next thing I knew, I was waking up on Drew's shoulder. I looked around to see Paul still in surgery. Why is this taking so long? I was so tired.

Finally the doctor had come out of the surgery room. I quickly rushed up to him and he looked at me with worried eyes. "Paul Shinji might not make it." My whole life stopped right then and there. Suddenly I felt a sort of presence behind me. I turned around to see Ursula. My eyes widened and she looked at me with a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry," she mouthed at me. I nodded and smiled back.

I felt Drew's hands on my shoulders and he turned me around. I was pulled close to his chest and I started crying. He had tears running down his face and we both collapsed on the hospital floor in the middle of the hallway. Then, the doctor quickly ran into the surgery room and the red surgery light turned back on.

I felt someone pull me up and slap me across the cheek. I staggered back from the force and looked up to see Ursula. I felt the urge to slap her back until she opened her mouth. "Do you think Paul would be happy to see you like this? How would he feel if he knew that he made you cry? What do you think his reaction would be like?" She started yelling at me.

I hung my head down. "You're right. I shouldn't act like this but I can't help it! I can't just let him go! I love him too much!" I felt someone hug me. I opened my eyes to see pink hair in my face. "Dawn. He doesn't want to see you like this. He told me that I had to help you move on if something happened to him. I promised him. And I won't break that promise."

I hugged back before pulling away confused. "What do you mean he told you to look after me if anything happened to him?" Ursula looked down at the ground before looking into my eyes. "You might want to sit down for this."
