Also, do not hesitate to comment on what you think about the story. I'd love to read what you guys think!

It's been two months since Escalus and Romeo started their plot for revenge. The king grew anxious day by day wondering when they will succeed and how much longer it would take. He wanted to get everything over with so that he can continue his life peacefully without the Capulets ruining his mood and his country.

Escalus turns as he hears someone entering the kitchen. His mouth was still filled with the delicious chocolate pudding cake made by Milliana.

The one who enters the kitchen was no other than the beautiful caramel devil herself.

She had a surprised look on her face, suddenly turning to sadness. Milliana tries to turn away but was stopped by Escalus right after he gently placed the delicious dish on the countertop. "I thought you were going to leave our home." He whispered in her ear.

The king never failed to create butterflies in Milliana's stomach. She took a deep breath of his scent and realized how much she had miss his warmth. "I realized that it is hard to find work these days, so I decided to stay. I've grown accustomed to this mansion and the workers. So I couldn't bear to leave them." She lies.

Deep down, Milliana knew that she couldn't bear to be far away from the King. She loved him, but he couldn't return those feelings.

"I'm glad you decided to stay." He pulls her closer, slowly turning to face him. "I've missed you." He says.

It shattered her heart. Milliana wanted say she missed him too, but couldn't. "My King, I believe I've mentioned that we need to stop what ever it is that is going on between us."

Escalus looks at her, amazed that she was rejecting him. No woman had ever rejected him before, until this beauty before him. "Why?"

Milliana's brows furrowed, confused at his question. "Why what?"

"Why should we stop?" He had a sad look on his face. It was as if someone had taken his favorite cookie away from him.

Milliana sighs with obvious annoyance and frustration. Shelooks straight at the king with all the in her face. "Because I am nothing more than a maid; a woman who warms your bed every night. I will admit that those nights were amazing, but again. I am a maid, and you are my king." She says with the same sadness in her eyes. She was about to cry and it made the king want to hold her; to hug her and calm her.

As Escalus was about to approach her with slightly open arms, she backs off not wanting to get any closer. "Please, don't touch me."

The king runs his hair in frustration, not knowing what to do. His feelings for the woman confused him and he couldn't understand what it was he was feeling. "I don't understand you, Milliana! If you can't seem to stand me so much, then just leave! You are fired!"

Milliana was taken aback. Was he joking? Did he meant it? As surprised as she was, she was more heart broken. It felt as if the king was just tossing her away like some over used rag. Over used rag.

The poor woman was too shocked that she did not even realized that she was already crying. Her tears also shocked Escalus. His eyes grew wide. The last time he had seen her cry was when she begged to not be fired. That was the first night they spent together in his bed, but this time she wasn't begging. "Milli-"

"I'll be okay. In fact, I need this. I should've left a long time ago when I should. I should've seen this coming. No, I knew this was coming yet I ignored all the signs that were right in front of me." She wipes her tears, but the tears kept fighting back. They continued to fall. "To be honest, I regret talking to you that night. I was in love with you then, and I just keep on falling in love with you over the years. Ugh, I am so fucking stupid. I hate myself for falling in love with you because I knew you would never return my feelings; because I knew that no matter what I do, I am nothing more than just a maid. I will never replace Sofia Montague in your heart."

Escalus knew of her feelings, but this is the first time she has ever confessed them. "Milli-"

"Dad, there's a package in the front for the both of us. I-" Romeo walks in on the both of them. He stops as he felt the tension in the air. He looks and notices that the maid's face was now coated in her wet tears. The shock expression on her face was very obvious as the Prince walks in. Even the king was surprised. "I'm sorry. Am I interrupting something?"

"Uhhh..." Escalus wasn't sure on how to respond to his son's question. He looks back and forth from Dante to Milliana. He wanted to continue the conversation with Milliana. He wanted to apologize for his cruel actions and wishes to tell her that he doesn't plan on firing her, but he was stubborn and filled with pride. He didn't want to show any weakness right in front of his son. "No, my son. We were just finished." His face hardens as he gives one Milliana one last look before exiting the kitchen.

That's when Milliana fully understood her worth. She walks up to her room and decides to start packing her stuffs. She plans on leaving by tonight, never to see Escalus again.

Romeo and Escalus heads to the living room to where the package was placed. Jose was in the living room, awaiting for them. "Jose, it's goo1d to have you back." Romeo smiles.

Jose smiles and bows. "It's good to be back my Prince. I'm glad that you allowed me some time off to cool some steam."

"You're my friend, Jose. Regardless of what happened, you will always be my friend. Romeo was disappointed, yes, of Jose's sudden leave. But it was true. Jose is his best friend and brother. He approached his dear friend into a brotherly embrace.

Escalus coughs as he interrupts their brotherly affection. "So, what is this package you speak of, Dante?"

The prince points over at the long, white wrapped present with a big red bow on the corner. The three of them walks over to the gift that stood in the center of the room. "It says to open it with you, but it doesn't say anything on who the sender was. It also says that it is for our eyes only." Romeo hands the note over to his father. Escalus reads the contents of the note. It was quite suspicious.

"If it was for our eyes only, why is Jose here?" Escalus asks his son.

The Prince gave him a smirk. "I know you feel suspicious when reading that note. Jose may be my best friend, but he is also one of the best guard we have. If anything happens, at least he is here. I've also posted two guards outside the room, including Sebastian, for back-up." Romeo explains to his father.

Sebastian may be just a butler, but the old man knew how to fight. He used to serve in the military before working as a butler in the palace. Due to traumatizing events in battle, he chose to have a change of life, even if it was just a mere butler. At least that way, he can serve his delicious tea recipe, while knowing how to kick some ass when needed.

Escalus couldn't help but smile. He knew that he raised Romeo very well. He knew that his dear Sofia would be very proud of him, and of how strong Romeo had become.

Escalus frowns as he thought about Sofia. It suddenly hurt him, yet he didn't understood why. He shakes off all the negative thoughts thinking he just might still be affected by her death as usual. "Good job, my son." He says proudly. "Alright, lets open this so called "gift.""

Jose decides to open the gift himself as he plans to use himself as a shield to protect the prince and King Escalus in case it was some sort of trap. He unties the red bow, removing the entire ribbon. He unwraps the white paper revealing a heavy metal box which brought even more suspicion to the three of them. "I have a bad feeling about this." Escalus says out loud. The two looks at him in agreement, but they had to open the box to reveal what was inside.

Finally, Jose unlocks the metal box with a key taped to the top. He opens it slightly, but the small crack made them want to gag as what smells like rotting corpse filled the room. They all covered their nose to prevent them from smelling the gorey stench, but to no luck. The smell was too overpowering.

Jose pulls up the cover to get the suspense over with. The contents inside the metal box shocked Romeo and Escalus. Their face grew pale, their bodies frozen in shock. They both couldn't believe what was inside the box, but one thing is for sure: they have been found out.
