Act II: Punishment
"Are we going to Grandmas yet? Are we going to Grandmas yet? Are we going to-" Sophie nagged but was interrupted.
"Sophie, we're going soon so please, for the love of Merl...God, don't nag me. I just need to make a quick phone call to them and then we can all hop in the car.

"James?"
"What?" He said tiredly.
"What do you think is happening to Juliet right now? Do you think her parents are...punishing her for being with me?" Sirius whispered.
"Who's Juliet?" He said drowsily.
"Doesn't matter..." He muttered.
Sirius sighed to himself and closed his eyes. He tried his best to get to sleep but as much as he tried, he couldn't. Knowing that Juliet could be being locked in a cupboard wasn't the ideal subject to think about whilst trying to fall asleep so he thought of Quidditch and the wind rushing through his hair. That led him to thinking about their next Quidditch match against the Slytherins in which Juliet may be playing in. He tried to think of the most random object in hopes that he wouldn't be able to relate it to his love interest.
But it was near impossible.
James' old socks. Juliet wore socks, she probably had an old pair.
Werewolves. Her boyfriends friend was one.
Cheese. She liked cheese.
Nirvana. Sirius needed for her to listen to that music.
He rolled over and pushed the pillow over his ears to drown out any thoughts of Juliet...if that was even possible. He turned over and saw a wizarding photo of the two of them taken by Lily 'the matchmaker' in an attempt to get Sirius to stay still with his girlfriend. He sat up, his hair at an angle, and went to sit on the windowsill of James' room. He rested his head against the window and slowly drifted off to sleep.
His first dream was rather strange. He dreamt that he was the golden snitch of a Quidditch game and he was flying away from a group of Slytherins who were trying to get him and he spotted Juliet looking at him but she looked away. Paris put an arm around her in the stands and he was engulfed into darkness once again. His following dream was nothing he wanted to experience ever again.
He was in a rather gloomy house, similar to the ancient house of Black except there was something more sinister about this house. The windows had been blacked out and it was covered in a thick layer dust. He was standing there as himself but as someone brushed past him, he realised it was purely a dream. He heard a familiar scream come from the upstairs and a sort of begging.
"Please..." The voice pleaded.
Sirius immediately recognised the voice and he ran up the stairs, causing no noises of course since it was only a dream. He ran through a tangle of corridors and eventually came out in a small, dimly lit room where a girl was sobbing on the floor on her back. A woman was standing above her, a foot resting on her chest. She wore a very similar expression to Juliet and had identical blonde hair.
"She won't come quietly..." Juliets mother said from the floor.
"How unfortunate..." A man droned.
Sirius spun around to face a dreary-looking man with his sleeves rolled up. A dark mark was clearly visible on his inner arm but the look of it disgusted him so Sirius looked away and towards Juliet with tears still pouring down her face. He felt like apologising to her but it would be futile because he was invisible to them and thank Merlin he was!
"If she won't come quietly, we'll just have to force her to come. Either way, darling, you're coming to our side. Your mother and I know best."
"Don't call me darling." Juliet spat at the man. "And you and Mayfair don't know shit."
The man was clearly taken aback by being addressed as such. Juliets mother, now labelled as Mayfair, looked at her daughter with fury in her eyes and pinned her to the floor once again. She dug into her pocket and looked for her wand until she brandished a rather unflattering stick. She shoved it into her face and got up close to her.
"How dare you be so ungrateful towards us! You have the chance to join us and the Dark Lord and you refuse. We're not taking no for an answer unfortunately." Her mother said through gritted teeth.
"Make me, Mayfair." She said simply.
"Legilimens!" She shouted and memories rushed through both of their heads.
Juliet wasn't strong enough to fend her own mother off so she was forced to relive so many painful and happy memories. Sirius saw all these memories too. Juliet hugging Sirius, slapping Paris, the Dark Lords voice haunting her living nightmares and her parents slapping her in the face, starving her and speaking to her nastily. As they were both dragged back to reality, Mayfair seized the girls arm and she started screaming, blood trickling from her arm as she did. Sirius couldn't bear this, he had to wake up to tell James.
"Please, make it end for crying out loud!" She half sobbed, half yelled.
Mayfair laughed as her own mark prickled to alert a new member. She grinned evilly as her daughter writhed in pain. Eventually, she released and Juliet stopped struggling. Her face was covered in tears, her black clothes dusty and blotchy with tears and specks of blood. She was lying limp on the floor with one arm resting on her stomach and the other lying to the side with a dark Mark clearly burnt into her arm.
"Now to finish the deed..." The man cackled slightly.
"Sirius! SIRIUS ORION BLACK III WAKE THE BLOODY HELL UP!" James shouted, shaking Sirius awake.
He immediately pried open his eyes and looked at him with alarm clearly in his eyes. He looked at himself, a mess of sweat and tears and started to slow his breathing. He looked down at the floor, hands on knees and looked back up at James who was clearly worried for his friend.
"Juliet's in trouble."

Sophie's mother put the phone down solemnly, she had gone extremely pale, and walked over to her daughter. She crouched down, put her hand on her shoulder and said on a wobbly voice.
"Grandma's sick."
