"I bloody hate Mondays," Sirius moaned into his pillow.

"Well you don't need to tell us Padfoot, we're living the dream!" James complained from the bed beside his own.

"At least we have Defence Against the Dark Arts first. I mean, it's one of the best lesson-"

"-But we don't know who our teacher is, Moony. It could be anyone from a psychopathic murderer like you-know-who to a kind-hearted half giant like Hagrid," Peter said.

"You've got that right, Pete. Can we just stay in bed today?" James asked.

"Remember what happened last time we decided to hide out here for the day and sneak into Hogsmeade? We got a detention each and fifty house points were taken from Gryffindor!" Remus explained tiredly. "If I get another snarky comment from Snape in a morning about house points, I'll end up being as bad as the rest of you and might even end up hurling a book at him."

Sirius rolled his eyes and said dismissively, "as if, you're too nice Remmy," then he looked over at James.

"Please mate? I would beg on my hand and knees, you know I would for the extra added drama, but I just can't get out of bed," Sirius begged on his hands and knees... internally.

"For once I do think that Remus has a point. We've just done out OWLs and now we're getting ready for our NEWTs next year. Although I'm against school and anything associated with it like exams I think we should still go to lessons," James said gloomily.

Sirius whimpered.

"I'm gonna die of boredom! Please, I beg you, in the name of merlin's saggy left butt cheek, can we prank Snivellus later? It's a compromise."

"How about we don't prank Snivellus and we play a game with him," Peter said seriously.

They all burst out in laughter after a few moments of silence and James fell off the bed. Remus laughed at James and started choking on some chocolate. Peter couldn't breathe.

"Why so serious, Sirius?" Peter laughed.

They all burst out into fits of laughter and Remus started gasping for air. They heard a large bang on the door and they all stopped and rolled their eyes.

Gideon and Fabian Prewett, Molly Prewett's younger twin brothers, always knocked on the door to alert them to wake up for lessons because once they slept until the final lesson of the day (apart from Remus who went to all the lessons and didn't wake them up because they'd stolen all his chocolate).

Sirius slumped out of bed and pulled on his white shirt, grey trousers, Gryffindor jumper and robes. He then climbed back into bed as the others were about to step out of the door.

"Come on Sirius, you can't stay here forever. You have to eat, see the world outside the stuffy dorm room and meet your true love. Maybe have kids someday..." Remus yawned.

"Okay okay, I'm up. No need to think so deeply though!" Sirius said.

Remus went red and they all walked out of the dorm room sluggishly, rubbing their eyes and buttoning up their shirts. Onlookers chuckled at the famous mischief makers of Hogwarts as they slumped through the portrait hole.

"Sirius."

"What?"

"Do up your shoelace."

"No."

"Why?"

"I can't be bothered."

James rolled his eyes and stood on his shoelace that was trailing behind. Sirius took a nose dive, narrowly missing a Hufflepuff walking by. She had long blonde hair and a pair of bright, brown eyes that were most definitely judging him so hard. Peter started laughing again but Sirius gave him a glare and he stopped immediately.

"Don't. Do. that, " he warned James.

"Or what?" he taunted back.

Sirius then ran after James, making a grab for his robes. James laughed and burst through the hall. Everyone looked at them and James went to hide behind Lily.

"Evans, protect me!" James shouted, hiding behind Lily and Marlene.

Sirius ran at James with full force but something or someone stopped him and he fell to the floor with a bang. The last thing he remembered was a blurred figure of a girl he didn't recognise.
