Veronica Janko read romance books like they were juicy gossip and watched romcoms like they were reality tv. Maybe it was her choice in movies and literature that aided in turning her into a hopeless romantic. That the fairytale love stories she devoured on paper and film somehow could correlate to her real life.

Maybe that's why she imagined herself in one of her romantasy books when she found an unconscious, injured Derek Hale while she was on her morning run in the woods, brought him back to her house and patched up his wounds rather than leave him for dead. Or maybe it was her heart of gold and doctor parents that influenced her to haul his much larger frame from the Forrest floor and haul him to her car.

A series of actions that would change her life, dragging her into the supernatural drama of her small hometown, introduce her to her forever friends, and possibly fall in love.
