Steve and Natasha has been together for 3 years now. Since Tony's snap (which luckily got alive and they replaced his hand with a robotic hand), Steve brought her back from vormir by trading the stone and confessed his emotions to her, and for his luck, she felt the same.

Steve wanted them to have a date on Valentines day, but since she got out on a mission on the same week. They couldn't. She's been going on a lot so missions lately, trying to find her friend Yelena, and Natasha wanted to find her and recruit her to shield, thinking she has the right ability and strength to be a shield agent.

so Natasha promised him that they will have a date the night after she gets back, she also offered to him that they will get presents for each other, which made Steve think about the perfect gift that he wanted to give her for a while now.

He went with Tony and Clint to buy a ring, since they are the only ones that knows Natasha longer than he does, they bought a silver ring, with a big diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds. Both Clint and Tony said Natasha will love it, but Steve thought it might have been too much for her, but he bought it anyway, trusting his friends.

4 days after valentines day, Natasha got back. She seemed pretty upset to Steve, but he knew the reason was that they didn't find her. Natasha used to say that they are alike in a lot of things, but the one that really made them alike is that when they both doesn't want to be found, you won't find them. And that made these missions more difficult.

"couldn't find her?" Steve asked from the couch "No" she said but she didn't sound sad "well are we going tomorrow night?" she asked him while she was making coffee
"yeah I guess, if you want to" he said, not sure if doing it when she's upset is a good idea "of course I want to. I know in always upset after these missions but I can't let it ruin my mood. And definitely not my relationship." she said while coming to the couch and sitting next to Steve "I know. So where do you want to go?" Steve asked her
" I'm sure you'll find a good place. Now I'm gonna take a shower." Natasha said and he kissed her lips hard, saying her goodbye."

The next day Steve made sure to wake up before Natasha, so he could talk to the rest of the team about tonight, telling them.they should all be in the kitchen when they get back, and then talking alone with wanda and Clint, so they will decorate their room with flowers and candles to make the proposal more romantic.

Natasha woke up an noticed Steve is not laying next to her. She got in the kitchen, and noticed that Steve made them breakfast. She took the advantage that he didn't saw her coming and wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his neck. "good morning beautiful" he whispered "good morning soldier" she whispered back and packed his neck again "what do we have here?" she asked "bacon and eggs. and also some pancakes leftovers from yesterday." he said and pointed finger towards the pancakes on the other pan. "you need some help?" she asked and played with her fingers on his abs
"you could maybe cut the berries for the pancakes" he said, knowing Natasha didn't expect him to really need something "alright" she pulled away on him and started cutting the berries.

They finished eating and started talking about her mission, eventually ending up on their way kissing to the bedroom, both not remembering what they talked about. Before it could go on any further than kissing, Natasha pulled away "let's keep some energy for tonight shall we?" she said and Steve agreed. They came out of the room and spent most of the afternoon with their team.

When the time got close to their date, Natasha started to get ready. She took a shower and when she finished the shower she put delicate make-up on, knowing Steve likes her natural look more. When she finished with her make-up she tried to put on her dress, but struggled since she couldn't reach the zipper. So she finished getting ready and then asking Steve for help with the dress.

Steve was already ready, with a fancy suit and everything. While he waited her to come out he played with the ring box in his pocket, thinking about tonight. When Natasha came out, he immediately stood up, amazed.
Before he could say anything she turned around and moved her hair to her right shoulder "do you mind zip me up?" she asked and he nodded. She felt shivers down her spine when his warm fingers touched her cold body. She turned around to him and fixed her dress, noticing Steve staring at her "what?" she asked and smiled "nothing it's just... You're beautiful." he said, scanning her look over and over. She wore a bright red dress, tight on her curves and her black leather jacket that Clint got her because he ruind her favorite one. She also wore black high heels that made her taller, but not taller than him. Her make-up was just how he liked, delicate and soft, although he liked her more without make-up, but she was pretty anyway. She had her red-blonde in a long side braid, and some baby hairs curled on her forehead. He kept glaring and admiring her until Natasha snapped her fingers in front of his eyes " we'll miss our reservation, come on" sh said and pulled him in a kiss, then taking his hand, leading him out of the door.

They got to the restaurant and Natasha had a déjà vu "did I been here before?" she mumbled to herself, not expecting him to hear "yes actually. Clint said you guys were here on a mission a few years ago, he said we should go 'cause it's really romantic." he said and held her hand. They got to their table, it was a private balcony Steve specifically asked so they could spend time alone with no interruptions. "this is all, really beautiful Steve. Thank you." she said and looked around the place again "thank you Natasha." he said "you don't need to thank me. You did all of this." she said and smiled at him "Nat, you've been there for me, since the moment we met, You always helped me when I needed, I am more than grateful for you. I love you." he said, Natasha loved his speeches. He always made them emotional and sweet and she couldn't help but smile everytime he did this.
The waiter brought the champagne and poured to both of their glasses, and leaved the bottle. Steve raised a glass "to you." he said and smiled at her "to us." Natasha corrected and hit his glass with her's, drinking a sip and pecking his lips.

They enjoyed the rest of their meal and left the restaurant. They got in the car and started driving back to the compound (which was their home too) and while the drive Natasha spoke "you know, I got you a present" she said and smiled at him "did you?" he asked her "I did. It's waiting at home for you." she said and laced her fingers with his "really? Where?" that's when Steve got nervous. He feared that her gift would be in the bedroom before everything will be ready. "I kept it in the living room. I told everyone not to touch it so nothing would happen." she told Steve
"well I guess this present is really meaningful" he said teasingly "it is" she answered and kissed his lips.

When they got to the compound, Steve left the car first to go and open Natasha's door
"Ma'lady" he said and stretched out a hend for her "call me ma'lady again, and ya'lady is gonna punch you in the face" Natasha said teasingly "alright chill tiger" he said and lifted her up, taking her in the compound.

"I want to show you my present first" she said and smiled to him "okay" Steve nodded and they moved to the living room. Steve sat down on the couch and waited Natasha to get the gift. The gift was wrapped with red wrapping paper and there was a big, silver bow on it. The box was big but low.
"open it" Natasha handed him the gift "alright" he smiled to her. He opened it and he was surprised, she bought him a new record player! He wanted a new one for long since Natasha accidently spilled water on it
"oh god Tasha" he said and looked at the record player " it's beautiful. Thank you. I love you" he said and kissed her passionatly
"yeah well I owed you a new one since I spilled water on your old one. And I bought it for us so we'll play some music in our room. You know, for the vibe" Natasha smiled at him. Steve didn't knew what 'vibe' means, but he was happy Natasha got him that.
Instead of saying thank you again, he kissed her again, but now it was heated and hungry.

They both walked kissing to their room, and now Natasha was against the door and Steve was unlocking it, completely frogetting what's inside. Once they got in, they kissed for a few more seconds until Natasha noticed so candles and rose petals on the floor.
She immediately turned around, to see if Steve is really responsible for this, when she turned around, he was already kneeling, with the ring box between his hands.

"what?" Natasha asked with a nervous laugh
"did you?" "I did." he said with a smile
"Natsha. I really don't know how to start. Since the moment I met you, I knew you were special. And I got to know you better from time to time, and you became on of my closest friends. You were there for me when I needed someone, you were there when I needed a shoulder to cry on, you were there at my best and worse moments. When I found out Bucky was alive, you were there, when Peggy died, you were there, when I fought with tony, you were there, when I was on the run from 117 countries, you were there, When we lost to Thanos, I could've been lost, but you were there. And when you died, oh Nat I could die myself. The point I want to make her Natasha, I that I love you. And being your friend for all these years, and the past few years we've been together, made me think, I want you by my side, forever. I want to be with you, I want to fight with you, I want to have kids with you. And if not directly from you, we'll figure it out, like we always do.
So, Natalia Alianovna Romanova, will you merry me?"

Natasha was so shocked, she forgot how to breath. She did thought about having a new life with Steve, but she never thought it would actually happen. She knew her decision, but same as he did, she needed to tell her feelings first.

Natasha bended down to be at his level, and started "oh Steve. I love you so much. When we started working together I found out that you are more than just Captain America. You were so much more, and I was happy to find that out. You were always there for me too. When I got hurt, you always carried me, when I had nightmares you were there to calm me down, when I was back from an annoying mission, you helped me chill out. I will always love you Steve. I was always taught that love is for children. Well than if it's true... Than I'm a freaking baby." she spoke and when she was done she kissed him.
"so..." Steve already had tears in his eyes
"yes. Yes I will merry you Steve" she said crying and kissed him again. They kissed for a few seconds until there was a knock on the door "can we come in we're drying out here"
Tony yelled. "come in guys" Steve yelled out and Natasha immediately hid her face in Steve's neck, so their friends wouldn't see their tears. " you're engaged!" Tony and pepper yelled "Natasha wiped her tears and looked up to their friends, which was more like family to both of them "we helped decorating the room" Clint held wanda and said to Natasha "congrats Nat." wanda said and gave her a hug. " I'm really happy for you Nat." Clint came up to her and said "thank you Clint." she said and hugged him

After a few minutes Tony yelled in the room "so how are we gonna celebrate?" he yelled and as return, pepper hit his shoulder "Tony! Let them have some time together, they just got engaged." pepper said "what?! Oh goddam it" Tony said and Steve mumbled 'language' under his breath and Natasha laughed. " congratulations guys. Have fun" Wanda said and the while team left the room, leaving Steve and Natasha alone.

"so... How do you want to celebrate?" Steve asked Natasha "well, I actually thought that we could test the new record player while we... You know" Natasha smirked and wrapped her arms around Steve's neck, and he immediately understood what she meant
"I'm on board" he said and pecked her lips.
Natasha got up and picked a vinyl of romantic songs Steve had, and putting it on the record player. They started kissing and continued to other stuff. They poured all of their love and passion to this, showing how much they love each other.

"so who helped you with the ring?" Natasha asked "what?" Steve asked surprised "I know you didn't pick the ring yourself. Because I know you, and your taste. And if you would have decide yourself it would be much simpler styled than this one." she said, scanning the ring again. She looked in to Steve's eyes and she sees the embarrassment in them " don't get me wrong. I love it! I just know that you would choose different."
She said and cupped his face. "yeah umm.. Tony and Clint helped me. They said it was your style and you'll love this one the most" Steve said awkwardly "taking them was not a good idea" she laughed "tell me about it" he teased her "I still love it though." she said and kissed him. The kiss led to other stuff and they continued their bliss.

The next morning they spent time with the team, celebrating their engagement.
Both of them were so happy. Thinking that they are going to spend the rest of their lives with each other. They loved one another, and that what mattered.
