The next day James said another word. "Nat come here!" Steve yelled "in a minute" she said "no it's urgent!", in half second natasha stood by the sofa in the living room "what happened?" she asked worried "James said another word!" Steve said in excitement
"really? Wich word" Natasha asked "uhhh... Well in my defense I never said that near him so it's either you Tony or Clint" Steve said, hinting the word is a little weird "what come on what word?? James what did you say to daddy?" she asked her son "G..Gun!!" he yelled and clapped his hands, as if it's a good word. "what? That's gotta be Tony!" she said annoyed "yeah probably." A few weeks flew by, and James still didn't say daddy. Steve was kind of disappointed, because he really wanted to be officially a daddy. He had to go on a mission for 4 days with Wanda and Peter, because Fury said it's and urgent mission and he has to go with them. He had to say goodbye for his son the first time since he was born. Natasha was also sad, because she was going to miss him, A lot. He got back from the mission and decided instead of stopping in the HQ to give a mission report, to head straight home to his son and his wife. "where's momma? Here's momma!" she said in a soft voice and James laughed, Steve stood in the doorframe, amazed by the sight in front if him. "and daddy is here too" he said in a low voice, both Natasha and James turned their heads to look at Steve, Natasha immediately ran to hug him tightly. "god missed you!" she said and buried her head in his chest "I missed you too baby" he said and hugged her tighter. James was alone on the bed and decided to call for his parents
"momma, dada!!" he yelled and opened his arms so someone could pick him up "did he just?.." Steve asked and looked so happy "yeah he started to miss you and out of nowhere said dada. He kept saying it all the time." she smiled as Steve want to pick up James "yes I'm your dada! You missed me?" James just said 'dada' again and clapped his hands.

It was Steve and Natasha's anniversary and Steve surprised Nat with 2 tickets to Rome, for a romantic weekend, so they both decided that the most careful person with babies was Clint. Well more Laura than Clint, but they both make a good due as parents. Steve and Natasha dropped James at Clint's house "keep an eye on him okay? I don't want to come back and see him aiming a bow and arrow on me." she warned Clint "alright relax. He will be fine here." Clint calmed her
"alright. We're coming back at Monday, if something happens call me or Steve. I'll text you when we'll land." she started "His food, diapers and pacifiers are in his bag, and put a baby monitor inside his crib, so you'll see how is he, and I'll see it in the app too. Other than that, that's it. Our flight is soon so I gotta go. Bye thank you"
She told Clint, and kissed his cheek
"bye honey, mommy will miss you" she told James and kissed his forehead. She waved Laura and the kids goodbye and got back to the car. "you ready to go?" Steve asked with a smile, and she kissed him "yup let's go".

They got back Monday morning, and went to pick up James. Natasha knocked on the door and Laura opened "Hi!! Welcome back guys!" she said and hugged them "how was Rome?" she asked "It was great! It's the first time I been there and people didn't tried to kill me!" Natasha said excited, Laura thought she was joking but on Natasha's expression she could tell she was serious, so she just smiled and told them to come in. "where is he?" Steve asked "In the kitchen eating with the kids" Laura said. They got in the kitchen and saw James in a baby chair eating some of his food, he saw Steve and Natasha and Steve immediately picked him up and kissed his head "hey champ! We missed you!" Steve said "what mommy won't get a hug too?" Natasha asked, and Steve handed her James
They hugged for some time and then Clint said "he learned another word!" he yelled "oh no" Steve and Nat said together "come on James tell them who you love the most" Clint said and Steve looked over to Natasha, worried "uncle Cwint!" he said and clapped his hands "are you kidding me Barton?" Steve asked "well it's better than gun! He went around all day and said 'gun gun gun'." client complained "we're never leaving him here again" Natasha whispered in Steve's ear
