You're Welcome

Requested by ROMANOFFWARRIOR, Wanda brings Natasha back.

Steve hadn't known what to do with his life once Natasha was gone. She had been his compass. The person whose judgement he had always trusted to lead him towards something great.

Without her he was lost, heartbroken, and unsure of what to do.

After they had defeated Thanos, he had retreated to the tower, hoping that maybe after a few days of mourning and her funeral, he would be able to think properly.

But then they didn't give her one. Tony's life was mourned within days but then everyone left.

Clint went back to his farm with his family, probably to mourn Natasha in peace. Bruce went back to whatever it was he had been doing before Thanos, Thor joined the Guardians in their question to find Gamora, and Steve was left all alone without closure.

He didn't understand how they could do this. How they could just pretend that nothing happened when the glue that had held the team together for nearly ten years was gone.

Not only had she died...she had sacrificed herself for millions of people. And no one bothered to give her a fucking funeral?

Steve had been pissed, his emotions were already all over the place from losing her, so when they all left and moved on without honoring her as he felt she deserved, he had done it himself, bringing a few of her things and a picture of her to a small clearing in the woods where he set up his own memorial for her.

It wasn't much...and she certainly deserved more people at her 'funeral', but at least it was something.

He had been sitting in front of her picture and crying softly when he heard a branch snap behind him.

Normally, he would have snapped to attention and been ready to fight whoever had snuck up on him, but now he couldn't really be bothered to care.

What was the worst that could happen? They would kill him? That was fine. Then he'd be reunited with Natasha.

It wasn't anyone trying to kill him though. It was Wanda, the one person who may have understood how much pain he was going through.

"Mind if I join you?" She asked, her eyes red.

Steve could see that she had been crying. He managed a sight nod and she sat down besides him, staring at Natasha's picture.

"Do you think she knows we won?" Wanda asked softly, reminding Steve how young she really was.

Steve nodded, "I have to believe she does."

Wanda sighed, "She really was a hero Steve. You know...That day where I messed with all of your heads, I know she took it hard. I had to stop after doing her vision because it was so painful. But then less then a week later, she was welcoming me into the tower as if I hadn't forced her to relive her worst memories."

Steve's eyes filled with tears and he chuckled sadly, "That's just who Natasha was. She would have never held a grudge against you for that. Especially because your situation wasn't all that different then hers."

Wanda nodded, "You know, she once said the same about you."

Steve frowned, "What?"

"That you would never hold a grudge against someone who didn't deserve it."

Steve didn't answer. What was he supposed to say? Everyone knew that Natasha knew almost everything about him.

What he hadn't told her himself, she had figured out just being around him.

A few moments of silence passed and Steve shook his head, "I just wish I could bring her back. I'd do anything to get the chance just to tell her how much she meant to me."

Wanda nodded, "You loved her didn't you?"

Steve nodded, "I think I always have. Just didn't have the guts to tell her."

"She felt the same you know."

Steve shook his head, "Please don't say that out of pity. She couldn't have. She used to always try and set me up with every other girl at Shield. Why would she do that if she actually loved me."

Wanda frowned, "You don't think that could have possibly been because she thought if you had someone else, she'd be able to move on?"

"Wanda..." Steve said, frowning.

"I'm serious Steve. You forget that I can read minds. My powers can sense things. If I really wanted to, I probably could have convinced you two to get together..." Wanda said trailing off at the end.

Steve raised an eyebrow, "What is it?"

Wanda stood up quickly, "I've got to go."

Steve didn't try and stop her, instead he just sighed and stared at Natasha's picture once again.

Hours later, he was still out in woods and the sun was setting.

He probably would have just stayed out there for hours if he hadn't heard a voice behind her.

"You couldn't find a better picture of me?"

Steve's head whipped around and his eyes welled up with tears, "Nat?"

Natasha cast him a small smirk, "I told you I'd see you in a minute didn't I?"

Steve stood up and ran up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "It's been longer then a minute Nat. How are you here?"

Natasha sighed into his shoulder and shook her head, "Wanda...Said that she had a revelation and used her mind control stuff to convince the stone keeper guy to reverse the trade."

Steve laughed quietly, tears of relief streaming down his cheeks, "God Natasha...I can't believe its really you."

She pulled away and held her hand up to his cheek, cupping it lightly, "To be honest neither can I. When I jumped off that cliff, I never thought I'd get a second chance."

Steve leaned his head against hers, "I thought I missed my chance Natasha."

Natasha raised her eyebrow with a small smile, "Your chance for what?"

"To do this," He whispered, leaning forward slowly to kiss her.

Natasha smiled slightly before kissing him back, wrapping her arms around his neck again and sighing into the kiss.

She kissed Steve with everything she had almost lost and he kissed her with all of the emotions that had been running through his head since he lost her.

When they finally pulled away, Natasha couldn't help the grin that spread on her lips, "That was quite the kiss Rogers...second one since 1945?"

Steve laughed, shaking his head slightly, "You're impossible."

She smirked, "I love you."

"You do?"

Natasha nodded, "Yeah."

Steve smiled and rested his forehead on hers again, "I love you too Nat."

She smiled and kissed him again, "Let's not waste this second chance alright? Who knows when I'm going to have the urge to jump off another cliff."

Steve shook his head, brushing her hair out of her face gently, "It's too soon for those jokes. You were dead."

"I'm not anymore," Natasha said with a smirk, "Need me to prove it?"

Steve grinned and was about to respond when someone behind them cleared their throat.

"You're welcome," Wanda said with a smile.

Steve smiled at her, "Thank you Wanda. I don't know how you did it, but I'll owe you one for the rest of my life."

Wanda shook her head, "You two go on now, I'll let Clint and the others know Natasha's alright. That gives you a little over an hour before they stampede the place."

Natasha smirked as Wanda walked away, "Well...I for one have an idea as to what we could do for an hour."

Steve laughed, taking her hand and giving it a soft squeeze, "Yeah?"

She nodded and began pulling him towards the tower, "Yeah."

Turns out...they had an hour and a half.

Hey guys. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It's probably not realistic that Wanda could do that but I don't care. It's my story and I say it works😂

Like always, if you enjoyed this please comment and vote!
