Vacation

Natasha and the others spend the weekend away.

After several weeks of constant missions and training sessions, Fury finally gave the avengers a weekend off.

Tony, being rather enthusiastic about taking a vacation, planned a weekend away at a private resort.

The other avengers had agreed to go without much hesitatation. After all, it was free food and a relaxing weekend.

Because Tony had literally booked the entire resort just for the team, everyone would get their own rooms.

They arrived early Saturday morning and all went to unpack their suitcases.

Natasha was getting settled in her room when someone knocked at her door.

She answered and saw Steve standing with swim trunks and a t-shirt.

"Tony asked me to come tell you to meet us at the pool. The others are already down there." He said.

Natasha nodded. "Ok, I'll get changed and be there in a few minutes."

Steve nodded and said goodbye before walking back down to the pool.

Natasha quickly changed into her swimsuit before going to the pool.

The boys were all down there and all of them were already swimming around like a bunch of kids.

Natasha set her towel and bag down on the chair next to Steve's before pulling out her sunscreen.

She took off her cover-up, leaving her in a bright red one piece with a rather steep v-neck. Her hair was neatly braided to the side so that it wouldn't be too ruined from the water.

"Hey Steve, could you come here a second?" She called out, interrupting the men.

Steve quickly climbed out of the pool and Natasha openly stared at his toned stomach.

Steve blushed and tried to maintain eye contact with her.

Natasha held out the bottle of sunscreen and smiled. "Mind helping me get my back? Russian skin burns easy." She joked.

Steve took the sunscreen from her hand and slowly applied it to her back and shoulders.

Steve's heart was racing and he felt like his breath was shaky but he tried not to let her see how she was affecting him.

"Thank you." She said, taking the sunscreen back from him and laying back on the pool chair.

"You're not getting in?" Steve asked.

Natasha shrugged.

Tony got out of the pool and walked up to Natasha and Steve. "Let's go lovebirds. In the pool." He said, waving towards the water.

Natasha glared at him. "When you said we were going on vacation I wasn't aware that meant doing a bunch of things with you."

Tony rolled his eyes. "Should've known better. But right now both of you need to get in."

Natasha shook her head and closed her eyes.

Tony looked at Steve, who only shrugged. "If you don't get her in then we will." He warned Steve.

Steve sighed, knowing that they would make it a lot worse for Natasha then he would.

"Come on Nat. You can just sit on the side."

Natasha opened one eye and looked at Steve's pleading smile. She sighed. "Fine."

Tony scoffed. "I ask like four times and get a rude no, Cap over here says one thing and you do it. Such unfair treatment."

Natasha rolled her eyes and sat down on the side of the water.

For a few minutes she was able to relax and enjoy the sun and water before her fellow teammates decided her peace was over.

First it was Thor. Having been informed what a cannon ball was by Tony, he wanted to try it out himself.

The only problem was that he decided to do it right by Natasha.

Being a god, Thor was nearly 700 pounds and the entire force of his splash was bigger then any of the other avengers had seen.

And it all came pouring down onto Natasha.

She frowned and sighed. "I work with children." She mumbled, squeezing water out of her braid.

Thor laughed. "My apologies."

Natasha rolled her eyes and sighed. Steve stood besides her and smiled, looking down at the water.

The next people to disturb her were Clint and Tony, who decided to dedicate their afternoon to getting Natasha in the pool.

Clint was the first to try. While Natasha was talking to Steve and Thor, he swam along the bottom of the pool to the edge where she was sitting.

Quickly, he reached up and grabbed her ankle, giving it a pull and trying to pull her into the pool.

Natasha's quick reflexes took action instantly and she kicked Clint off of her.

Steve laughed while Natasha shook her head at Clint. "Really Clint?"

Clint held his hand to his shoulder, where she had kicked him, and frowned, walking away with a pout.

Tony tried next. He tried coming at Natasha from outside the pool but she sensed him coming and quickly moved out of the way, sending Tony headfirst into the water.

After numerous more failed attempts, she went back to sit in the chair.

Tony and Clint frowned. "How are we gonna get her in?" Clint asked.

Tony looked over at Steve and grinned. "We need to recruit Capsicle."

Clint nodded and they casually walked over to Steve, who was peacefully leaning against the pool ledge.

"Hey there Cap." Clint started.

"We need a favor." Tony said.

Steve sighed. "What?"

"We need you to get Romanoff into the pool." Tony said glancing over at Natasha, who appeared very relaxed.

Steve shook his head. "Don't drag me into this. Why do you care so much? She looks relaxed. Is that bad?"

Clint nodded. "Right now, yes."

Tony nodded in agreement. Steve just rolled his eyes. "I'm not helping you. Figure it out yourselves."

Tony sighed. "If you do it then I will literally do anything for you."

Steve furrowed his eyebrows. "Like what?"

Tony shrugged. "I'll leave you and Romanoff alone the rest of the trip. Maybe then you'll finally be able to tell her how you feel."

Steve turned red. "What do you mean?"

Clint shook his head and laughed. "Please. It's so obvious that you're in love with her."

"I- I am not." He lied.

Tony narrowed his eyes. Steve sighed. "Alright, so what if I am."

Clint looked over at Natasha. "She feels the same. I know her well enough to know that. But unless you get her in the water Tony and I will make it impossible for you two to get a quiet moment. If you do it, we'll even set up a perfect one."

Tony nodded. "Sounds like a good deal Cap. If I were you, I would take it."

Steve sighed. "Fine."

Steve climbed out of the pool and walked over to Natasha, who watched him approach with a smirk.

"I have to say Rogers...you look pretty damn good without a shirt."

Steve smiled and looked down. "Thank you."

Natasha sat up and motioned towards the end of the chair. "Wanna sit?"

"Sure."

Steve sat down and to his surprise, Natasha laid her legs over his once he was seated.

"Did you come over here for a reason or did you just want to be close to me?" She asked with a smirk.

"Both?" Steve said with a small smile.

Natasha smiled back. "Well what was the reason?"

"You're going to hate me for it." Steve warned.

Natasha raised an eyebrow. "Doubt it. Now tell me."

Steve shrugged. "It's easier if I show you." He said, lifting Natasha up and running towards the pool.

By the time she realized what was happening, he was already in midair and they were falling towards the and eeater.

They hit the water hard and Steve couldn't help but laugh. Natasha resurfaced and shook her head. "You're right Rogers. I do hate you for that. Did they bribe you or something?" She said, not bothering to hide the smile that had crept onto her lips.

Steve shrugged and ran his fingers through his wet hair. "Sorry Nat."

She rolled her eyes but laughed. "Maybe one day I'll forgive you."

They all fooled around in the pool for a few more hours before everyone went back to their rooms to get dressed for a nice dinner.

Steve was the first to get to the resort restaurant. He waited for the rest of the team to arrive and eventually Natasha arrived.

"Hey. Where is everyone? I thought I was running late." Natasha said, sitting besides him.

Steve shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't heard from them."

On que, Natasha's phone went off. She checked it and rolled her eyes. "Bruce texted. It says, the guys found the mini bar. Too drunk to come to dinner. You and Steve enjoy."

Steve rolled his eyes. So this was his quiet moment, he thought to himself. "Leave it to them to get wasted before dinner."

Natasha laughed and looked around the empty restaurant. "This place is kind of boring. Wanna go somewhere?" She asked, excitement showing in her bright green orbs.

Steve nodded. "What did you have in mind?"

Natasha grabbed his hand and smiled. "I don't know, but I'm sure we can find something."

Steve nodded and followed Natasha as she led him out of the resort.

They were staying in California and their resort was pretty close to the beach so they both decided to just start walking towards it and grab some food on the way there.

"So what did the boys bribe you with today? To get me into the pool?" Natasha asked. Smirking.

Steve sighed. "They promised that if I did it they would let both of us just enjoy our vacation."

Natasha smiled in response. They kept walking until they saw a small food truck.

"You hungry?" Natasha asked.

Steve nodded and they walked over to the truck, each getting a burger.

"Hey Steve?" Natasha asked tentatively as they approached the beach.

Steve looked up from his feet and glanced into her eyes. "Yeah?"

"Did you ever get a date?" She asked, stopping once they reached the water.

Steve shook his head. "No. But I have my eye set on someone."

Steve could have sworn she looked disappointed when he said that. "Who is it? Do I know her."

Steve nodded.

Natasha raised an eyebrow. "What? I don't get a name?" She teased.

Steve looked down at the ground, now he didn't have any way out of it. "Her name is Natasha and she's pretty clueless. I don't know how she feels about me, but I love her." Steve said honestly.

Natasha's jaw dropped in surprise and Steve sighed, thinking she didn't feel the same.

After a few seconds Natasha smiled. "I happen to know that she loves you too." She said quietly.

Steve smiled. "Really?"

Natasha nodded and Steve grabbed her hand, pulling her flush against him before gently lifting her chin so that he could capture her lips with his.

Natasha kissed him back passionately and sighed into the kiss. She hadn't expected the night to go like this but she was glad it did.

Steve pulled apart a few moments later and smiled. "It's getting dark. Want to come back to my room and watch a movie?" Steve asked.

Natasha shrugged. "I'm not really in the mood for a movie but I'd be glad to do other things in your room." She teased, dragging him back to the resort.

Sure enough, the rest of their vacation was amazing.
