Seductress
Natasha has to sing at a bar to distract some enemies and Steve is captivated by her and struggles to complete the mission.
*The song she sings in the video attached*
"What's the plan?" Steve asked, walking towards the club their mission was at.
They were assigned to go into a small exclusive nightclub, sneak into the main office upstairs, and destroy information that they had gotten by hacking Shield regarding the homes and personal information about agents working there.
Natasha handed him a small flashdrive, "We go in together, mingle for a little while and then I'm going to cause a distraction so you can slip up stairs and put this into the computer. It will pop off asking if you want to spread the virus. Click yes and then we get the hell out of there."
Steve nodded and tucked the flashdrive into his pocket securely, "How are you going to distract an entire room of men?"
Natasha shrugged, "It won't be a problem. Don't worry."
Steve sighed but didn't question her.
Natasha grabbed his hand, faking a smile as they walked into the club, she leaned over and whispered in his ear quietly, "I won't be able to talk while you distract them, but keep me updated on progress."
Steve nodded and went along with their facade of a rich married couple.
"Mr and Mrs. Evans. It's a pleasure to see you two here." The owner told them, approaching with a bottle of champagne.
Natasha smiled and placed a hand on Steve's chest, "We're very happy to be here. Thank you again for the invite. Chris and I have been wanting to come for ages."
He smiled, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I've caught your first name," He told Natasha.
"Scarlett. Scarlett Evans. I assume you are Mr. Igor?"
He nodded, "Yes. Now can I offer you two a glass of champagne?"
Steve took it and thanked him.
"So I must ask, what brings you two so far to visit a night club?" Igor asked.
Steve smiled at Natasha, "Well, we love LA anyways and we heard you have a great atmosphere."
Natasha nodded, "I also heard that you have great live music."
Igor nodded, "We do. Unfortunately one of my favorite preformers cancelled last minute. I'm sure you would have enjoyed her."
Natasha frowned, feigning surprise, "What a shame."
Igor raised an eyebrow, an idea popping into his head, "You don't sing do you my dear?"
Natasha shrugged, "Actually, I took vocal lessons as a kid."
Steve smiled, "She's got a beautiful voice."
It wasn't a lie, he had overheard her singing quietly with Morgan or Lila so he knew she could at least hold a tune. Plus this seemed to be part of her plan.
Igor's eyes lit up, "Perhaps you should sing a song for us tonight."
Natasha hesitated, "Oh I don't know. I'm not sure people would enjoy that."
Steve wrapped his arm around her, "Scarlett don't be so modest. The people would love it."
Igor nodded, and Natasha smiled shyly, "Alright fine. But let me get a few drinks in me first."
"Wonderful! Just let me know when you're ready. For now, I'll leave you two to it."
Natasha smiled and leaned into Steve's touch, turning her head to whisper in his ear, "That's the distraction. So when I go up there, you go get the info."
Steve nodded and laughed, to try and disguise their conversation as something else.
They talked to a few more rich criminals before Natasha waved off Steve and went to find Igor, letting him know she was ready to sing.
Steve walked towards the bathrooms as she did so and stayed inside there until he could here Igor introducing her over the mic.
Taking that as his que, Steve left the restrooms and quickly found the stairs leading to the second floor, which was blocked by two guards and was completely empty.
Steve quickly took the guards out as silently as possible and then crept up to the second floor.
He heard the piano intro for a familiar song play but he tried to ignore it, focusing only on the mission.
But then he heard he begin to sing and he stopped completely in his tracks.
Creeping towards the banister that overlooked the club, he saw her standing in the stage, angelic tunes flowing from her red lips.
Not to mention, she looked stunning. She was wearing a flowy black long dress that had a deep v-neck. Her stunning red hair was pinned to the side of her head and she looked completely confident in herself as she sang.
Steve's mouth fell slightly ajar and he stared openly at her, much like everyone else in the room.
She's one hell of a preformer, he thought to himself.
Steve found himself captivated for longer then he should have been.
Her eyes met him and without even blinking, he could sense her telling him to stop staring and get the mission done.
Steve snapped out of his trance and quickly found the office he was meant to be in.
He inserted the flashdrive and remembering Natasha's instructions earlier, kept her updated, "Inserting the flashdrive now...virus activated. We're all good."
Steve removed the flashdrive and rushed back downstairs to just in time for her to end the song.
"Chris! Where were you? You just missed your wife give a hell of a performance," Igor said, clapping, completely oblivious to what had just occured.
Steve smiled, "I was just getting a little fresh air. I'm sure she did great."
Another stranger punched Steve's shoulder jokingly, "You're one lucky bastard to have a wife like that! If I was married to her, I wouldn't leave the house!"
He and several other men laughed and Steve tried to remain calm.
Luckily, Natasha arrived and placed her arm on Steve's back, obviously sensing his growing anger.
"Hey there," She said, kissing his cheek.
Steve smiled at her and checked his watch, "Hey, how'd you do?"
Natasha shrugged and looked to the other men, "Fellas?"
"It was great. Well done."
She smiled, "Thank you. But I'm afraid we should probably get going. We've got an early flight tomorrow morning."
Igor frowned but nodded, "Of course. I hope next time you're in LA you come back. We would love to have you sing again."
Steve faked a smile and shook his head, "We'd love to come back."
Natasha nodded and thanked Igor again for the invitation before they walked out of the club and to their mission extraction point.
"What happened up on that balcony?" Natasha teased as they walked down the street.
Steve chuckled slightly, "You were mesmerizing."
Natasha blushed slightly, caught off guard by his compliment, "Well, luckily those guys were all dumber hen a bag of rocks, otherwise, we'd probably have been caught."
Steve smiled sheepishly, "Sorry. I wasn't even thinking about the mission to be honest."
Natasha raised an eyebrow, "What were you thinking about?"
"You."
Natasha smirked, "What about me?"
Steve hesitated, but the words still left his mouth before he could stop them, "How much I love you."
Natasha's eyes widened in shock along with his.
"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that," He stumbled, trying desperately to recover his grave mistake.
Natasha shook her head, "Don't be. Did you mean it?" She asked quietly.
Steve nodded, hanging his head.
Natasha lifted his chin with her fingers and smiled, "Well Rogers. I love you too. Even if you do act like an idiot sometimes."
Steve's eyes lit up and he searched her face for any sign that she was teasing him, "You do?"
Natasha nodded, laughing a bit, "Yes. Now shut up and kiss me."
Steve gladly did so, not caring who saw as he pulled her close to her and caressed her cheek with his thumb.
When they pulled apart, he couldn't help but laugh in relief.
"You're one hell of a seductress Natasha," He whispered, out of breath.
She smirked in response and pecked his lips again, "You haven't even seen me try."
Hey guys. Here's a fluffy kind of random one shot that I thought of a while ago. I hope you enjoyed it and if you did please comment and vote.
Also, if you haven't already, I highly recommend listening to the song I attached.
Personally, I think Scarlett sounds amazing in it and it's an older song so I thought having Steve be distracted by it was perfect.
