Reset The Clock

A part three of A Lost Chance. Young Steve and Natasha reunite. If you were the one who requested this let me know because I can't find the comment and I completely forgot who it was. My bad!😣

Natasha ran through the streets carelessly.

She dodged people and cars with no regard for her safety and pushed through crowds.

The rain was coming down hard and Natasha was soaked from head to toe but she didn't care.

This was it. Her chance for a happy ending with Steve.

She had lost it and then gotten it back in the span of three days and her emotions were a mess because of it.

Coming back to a world without Steve was he hardest thing she had ever experienced. Only for her to find out that he was alive but nearly 50 years older.

Seeing the man she loved old wasn't the problem. The reason it hurt was because he had lived his life. He had experienced everything life had to offer and it had been with someone else.

It had all just been a lot of pain and heartache.

Then her phone rang and she only felt joy and relief. Relief that they would get to be together. Even if it was in a strange circumstance.

He would be back to normal. Back to the Steve she had left behind.

She knocked anxiously on the door, unsure if the machine even worked or if Steve was alright.

There was a loud buzz and the door unlocked.

Natasha hurried upstairs to where the machine had been built and couldn't help but ole when she saw Steve standing by Bruce.

He was himself again. He was back.

Her eyes locked on Steve and she ran towards him, smiling and leaving a trail of water behind her, still soaked from the rain.

She ran into his arms and captured his lips with hers in a passionate kiss.

Steve kissed her back and held her close to him, both completely ignoring Bruce.

"It worked." Natasha said breathlessly, pulling away.

Steve nodded and kissed her again. "I love you so much." He mumbled against her lips.

Natasha closed her eyes and embraced Steve. She had been waiting for this far too long. "I love you too."

Steve looked at Natasha and furrowed his eyebrows. "You're all wet."

Natasha laughed. "It's raining."

"Did you walk?" Steve asked, laughing and taking her hands in his.

Natasha shrugged. "More like ran here but yeah."

"Well we definitely need to get you out of those wet clothes, you'll catch a cold."

Natasha smirked. "Only if you're the one to take them off." She teased.

Bruce cleared his throat. "I uh, should get going. If anything happens just give me a call. It was nice to see you too again." He said awkwardly.

Natasha nodded. "Thank you Bruce."

Bruce nodded and walked away.

After getting Natasha a hoodie and replacing her wet shirt with it, they stood together by the door.

Natasha turned to Steve. "Do you remember anything? From being with Peggy?"

Steve shrugged. "I remember going back and seeing her again. I remember how much I missed you but most of it doesn't feel real. It's like a dream or a story that someone told me. I don't feel like it was real."

Natasha frowned. "I'm sorry you lost those memories with her."

Steve smiled softly. "I'm not. If it means I get to make some with you then it was worth it. I just wish I would have made the right decision in the first place. It was selfish to go back to her. She had a family. A husband who loved her."

Natasha lifted Steve's chin up. "You're human Steve. It's okay to be selfish every once and a while. As for Peggy, I'm sure she was happy with you. You are a great man and if I know you then I'm guessing you worked hard to make sure she felt loved."

Steve nodded. "I don't remember but I hope so."

Natasha kissed him gently again. "You're a good man Steve. Don't feel so bad. It's in the past. Now we can move forward together."

Steve smiled. "That sounds great. What do you want to do first?"

"How about some dinner? I'm starving." Natasha said, smiling.

Steve laughed and nodded.

She grabbed his hand and they walked out of the lab together.

They both had gone through a million terrible things, but in the end it was all worth it because now they were together.

Hey guys, sorry this is kind of short but I wanted to get something else out before I go to sleep.

Hope y'all enjoyed and if you did remember to vote and comment!
