Halloween
Natasha and Steve just got back from a mission the night of Halloween and they decide to watch a scary movie together to 'celebrate'.
"You told Stark we weren't coming to his party right?" Natasha asked Steve, limping off the quinjet.
Steve nodded and wrapped his arm around Natasha to help her walk into the compound.
Their mission had gone smoothly until a metal shelf had been thrown at them and landed on Natasha, fracturing her ankle.
The doctors on the mission with them had already wrapped it and given her pain medication so now she only had to rest it for a few days and it would hopefully heal.
When they got up to Natasha's room, she couldn't help but want Steve to stay a little bit longer.
"Wanna come in and watch a movie?" She offered.
Steve smiled, "Sure."
He walked into Natasha's apartment and helped her to the couch before taking a seat besides her.
"What kind of movie do you wanna watch?" Steve asked.
Natasha shrugged, "Well it is Halloween so I figured we might as well watch a horror film."
Steve frowned but agreed. He wasn't a huge fan of horror movies, hopefully Natasha would pick one he could handle.
Natasha picked one of the top ones and curled up next to Steve, still leaving space between them.
"Have you ever seen this?" Steve asked, feeling himself grow nervous as the music began to play.
Natasha shook her head, "No but I've heard good things."
Steve nodded, silently wishing he had asked her to pick a different genre.
The movie had only been going on for a few minutes and Steve was uncomfortable.
There had already been a gory murder and the story had hardly begun.
When the first jumpscare occured, Steve had nearly fallen off the couch, making Natasha, who was perfectly calm, laugh so hard that she forgot about the movie.
"Is Captain America afraid of horror movies?" Natasha teased, not expecting Steve's answer to actually be yes.
"A little bit. I just don't like them."
Natasha smirked, "Oh my god. You are afraid of them."
Steve sighed and flinched again as another character was killed on the screen.
"Do you want me to change it?" Natasha asked.
Steve shook his head, "It's alright. I'll be fine."
Natasha moved closer to Steve and gently held his hand in hers, attempting to make him a little less tense.
"You know, this is why I don't like Halloween." Steve said after another jumpscare.
Natasha laughed, "Because of horror movies?"
Steve closed his eyes and looked away from the TV as another person was killed.
"Yeah for the most part...you seem like the type who enjoys Halloween though."
Natasha shook her head, "Russia didn't really celebrate Halloween so I never got into it."
Steve nodded, and found himself jumping again after a few more minutes.
Natasha shook her head with a smile and leaned her head on Steve's shoulder, "You need to relax."
Steve flinched again and closed his eyes, "Easier said then done."
Natasha smirked and curled up closer to Steve, hoping it would relax him a little bit.
Steve tensed up more and tried to find a way to sit where he didn't feel as though he was intruding on Natasha's personal space.
"Steve, relax," Natasha said again, using her hand to grab his chin and make him look at her, "you don't have to leave six inches between us at all times."
Steve huffed out a nervous laugh and settled down a bit next to Natasha.
The movie went on and Steve still hated it, but he learned that if he closed his eyes he wasn't as jumpy.
When it finally ended, Steve let out a sigh he didn't realize he had been holding in.
"You okay?" Natasha teased, nudging him with her shoulder so he would open his eyes.
"I'm great now that this movie is over." Steve said.
Natasha rolled her eyes, "I can't believe you're afraid of horror movies. You fight actual aliens and terrible people but you're afraid of a dude with a chainsaw?"
Steve glared at Natasha, "I got through the movie and I think that's what really matters."
Natasha laughed, "You're right. I'm sorry Rogers...you did great. I oughta give you an award."
Steve rolled his eyes, "I think you should."
Natasha smirked, "Yeah? Like what?"
The words came out of Steve's mouth before he even thought them over, "How about a date?"
Natasha grinned, "Someone's feeling awfully bold...are you asking me out Rogers?"
Steve mentally cursed himself and stuttered, "Um well...Yes, I think so, unless I crossed a line, in which case just forget I said anythin-"
"I'll go out with you, but I think I have a better reward for right now..." Natasha said with a smirk.
Steve furrowed his eyebrows, "What?"
"This," Natasha said, leaning forward and capturing Steve's lips with her own.
Steve was shocked at first but soon responded to the kiss, trying his best to match the passion she was pouring onto his lips.
A knock sounded at the door and Steve moved to pull away but Natasha pulled him back down, "Leave it." She mumbled, kissing him again.
Steve didn't have the willpower to deny her request. Natasha pushed Steve back onto the couch and climbed on top of his, kissing him as she ran her hands along his shoulders and through his hair.
Another knock sounded at the door and Natasha kissed Steve harder, silently telling him not to even try and move.
Three knocks later she finally broke the kiss, wanting to find out who the hell was inturrupting her make out session with Steve.
She swung the door open and was confused when she didn't see anyone at first, then a quiet voice from below drew her attention downwards.
"Trick or treat!" A little girl dressed as the black widow said.
Natasha's brows furrowed, "Uh hold on a second..."
Natasha went back into her apartment and looked around for any candy she could give the child...she didn't know how she got into the tower or why she was trick or treating at Natasha's floor but she wasn't about to send her away without candy.
Natasha finally found a bag of candy she kept for when Clint got drunk and grabbed a few peices from it, bringing it back to the little girl.
Only, when Natasha opened the door again, there was now several more children all dressed as superheros.
"Oh." Natasha said quietly, turning around to Steve who saw the kids and went to get more candy.
"What are you guys doing here?" Natasha asked one of the older ones.
"Iron Man let us come trick or treat here!" The little boy said, grinning ear to ear.
"Thank you for the candy!" Another one yelled, skipping off to the elevator.
Natasha turned to Steve, "What just happened?"
Steve laughed, "Sounds like Tony let a bunch of kids in the building to trick or treat. I see more so you better get that candy ready."
Natasha sighed, "Well this is not what I had planned for tonight."
Steve frowned, "What did you have planned?"
Natasha smirked and kissed right below Steve's ear before whispering, "Let's just say it involved more of what we were just doing before we were inturrupted."
Steve blushed and he looked at Natasha with wide eyes. She smirked and bent down to give out more candy.
After everything settled down and the random children left the building, Natasha and Steve did eventually follow through with her plan...and it was definitely Steve's best Halloween in a long time.
