Date Night With a Few Interruptions

This will just be a little bit of fluff to hopefully make you smile😁

Natasha was struggling. She had a date with Steve in only a few minutes and she couldn't seem to reach far enough behind her to zip up her dress all the way.

She sighed and eventually gave up. She would just ask Steve to help when he came to pick her up.

She strapped on her red heels and waited for Steve to arrive.

A knock on her door finally came and she opened it with a smile.

"Hey soldier. Ready for our date?" She teased, welcoming Steve into her apartment with a kiss on the cheek.

It was only their second real date, so Steve was still a little nervous.

He nodded. "Yes Ma'am. Are you?"

Natasha nodded. "I will be after you help me zip up. Do you mind?"

Steve shook his head and delicately swept her long hair to one side of her head before slowly zipping her dress all the way up.

"There...perfect." He said with a smile, "You look stunning." He added.

Natasha took his hand in hers and smiled back. "Thanks, you look pretty dapper yourself. Now, are you going to tell me where we are going or is it a surprise?"

"It's a surprise."

Natasha rolled her eyes. "Will I ever get to know where you are taking me on dates or will they all be surprises?" She joked.

Steve shrugged and pressed the button for the elevator.

"I promise that on our next date, I'll tell you where we're going." He said, a hint of a smile on his face.

Natasha wrapped her arms around his neck after they stepped in the elevator.

"I think you better seal that promise." She teased, stepping closer to him.

"Yeah? How do you suppose I do that?" Steve asked, grinning.

"Like this." Natasha said before surging forward and passionately kissing Steve. She grabbed the back of his head and pulled him closer to her until it was physically impossible to do so.

Steve pushed her into the elevator wall and placed one hand on the side of her face while the other was on the elevator wall to keep them steady.

The elevator doors opened and they separated quickly.

Clint stood outside the elevator with his hand over his eyes. "Don't mind me, I'll just stand over here. Please, continue on. Don't let me kill the mood."

Steve held back a chuckle as Clint entered the elevator and stood on the other side of them.

Natasha rolled her eyes and grabbed Steve's hand. "Too late." She mumbled, glaring at Clint.

He looked up at the roof of the elevator and whistled, avoiding eye contact with the couple.

Natasha looked back at Steve. "I'm going to kill him."

Steve lightly pecked her on the lips. "Save it for after our date."

Natasha laughed and grinned. "Alright, but only because I'm very curious to know what you've got planned."

The elevator doors opened again and Steve and Natasha walked out.

Clint waved and pointed at them. "Be good kids!" He yelled after them.

Natasha rolled her eyes again and mumbled something in Russian. Steve decided against asking what it meant.

They walked into the crisp air and Steve wrapped his arm around Natasha's shoulder.

A black car pulled up and Steve opened the door for Natasha. They sat in the back and Steve opened the divider between the driver and them to give him an address.

When he opened it, he sighed and sat back. "Tony, what the hell are you doing here."

Natasha cursed from behind Steve and Tony grinned. "I told you I was going to help you get there."

Steve shook his head. "I thought that meant ordering us a car, not driving us there yourself."

Tony shrugged. "I did get you a car. Would you rather walk?"

Steve sighed. "Just drive."

He sat back and Natasha grabbed his hand again. She reached forward and closed the divider harshly before resting her head on Steve's shoulder.

"I'm going to kill him tonight too." She whispered.

Steve laughed. "You know, I might help."

Natasha smiled leaned up to give Steve a light kiss.

Before either of them could separate or do anything, the divider opened with a loud noise and Tony appeared in the rear view mirror.

"Just making sure you keep it PG back there." He said, facing the road again.

Natasha glared at him and grabbed Steve's face again, kissing him with much more passion.

She climbed on top of his lap and kissed him deeper.

When she finally pulled apart, Steve and Tony both stared at her in shock as she fixed her dress.

"That PG enough for you Tony?" She asked with a smirk on her face.

Tony looked back at the road and Natasha reached up the the divider. "If this opens again, you're going to wake up with a bullet in your chest." She threatened, slamming the divider closed once more.

Steve pulled Natasha back to him and captured her lips again. "Have I ever told you how brilliant you are?" He teased.

"Yes, but I wouldn't mind you telling me again."

Steve smiled. "You're brilliant."

"Thank you." She joked.

They continued to make small talk until they got to a small restaurant on the coast.

It was small but it was obvious that the quality was high. People were all dressed in ballgowns and tux's and the lobby was full of people waiting to be seated.

Steve held tightly onto Natasha's hand as he pushed through the crowd and made his way to the hostess.

"I've got a reservation for Rogers." He said to the women.

The women smiled and grabbed two menus. "Yes of course, right this way."

They followed her through the restaurant and Natasha gave Steve a curious look as the women led them through the kitchen and up to the roof.

Steve smiled at Natasha and she was suddenly in awe as she saw a whole new floor on the roof of the restaurant that was surrounding a large dance floor.

They were led to a table on the edge where they had a view of the ocean and the beach.

Natasha sat down across from Steve and couldn't help but smile.

Their waitress brought them both a glass of wine and left them to look over the menu.

"You really know how to plan a date, this is amazing." Natasha said.

Steve smiled. "I'm glad you like it. I wondered if it was too much."

Natasha shook her head. "Not at all, it's great."

They continued to talk about the restaurant and the view until their waiter arrived.

"Good evening, what can I get you two?" A familiar voice said.

Steve looked up and saw Tony's spider kid standing in a tux and holding a notepad in front of his face..

"Queens?"

Peter shook his head. "Uh no, I'm Tom."

Natasha rolled her eyes again and sat back in her chair. "Did Tony put you up to this?"

Peter stuttered. "Tony? Whose Tony? I don't know a Tony."

Natasha slowly pushed the notepad down so they could see his face and glared at Peter.

Peter laughed shakily, "Oh you mean Mr. Stark. I forgot his actual name was Tony for a second. Haha. Um, yeah. He told me to do this."

Steve rolled his eyes and took Natasha's hand under the table.

"You know what...I don't even care." Natasha said as she began ordering her meal.

Steve followed suit and Peter quickly ran off to the kitchen.

"I'm surprised." Steve said, grinning.

"About what?"

"You didn't threaten him."

Natasha laughed. "He's a kid, and he would probably do whatever Tony asked him. I can't blame him, but I can blame Tony. He'll get some sort of payback."

Steve laughed. "I'll help you out with that."

Peter brought back their food and they both throughly enjoyed the meal. After the had paid and finished eating. Steve stood up and offered his hand out to Natasha.

"Can I have this dance?"

Natasha took his hand and smiled. "You may."

Steve led her away from their table and onto the dance floor. Around them, many other couples were slowly swaying to the piano.

Steve wrapped his arms around Natasha's waist and slowly began to dance with her.

She put her arms around his neck and smiled up at him. "You really know how to show a girl a good time Rogers."

"Do I?"

She hummed in agreement. "I don't think I've ever met someone else whose like you. You're one of a kind."

Steve smiled. "Am I to assume that's a good thing?"

Natasha nodded and Steve gracefully twirled her around. "Well, I think you're one of a kind too, in the best way." Steve told her.

Natasha laughed. "Thank you."

They continued dancing and when the song finally ended, Natasha leaned forward to place a quick kiss on Steve's lips.

They only pulled away because from the far side of the room, there was a flash. Natasha looked up with a deadly glare and saw Peter holding his phone sheepishly.

"Mr. Stark told me to send him a picture." He said once the couple was close enough to hear him.

Natasha lightly grabbed his arm and pulled him along side Steve and her as they exited the restaurant.

Tony was waiting for them outside and he waved when they were in sight.

"Hey lovebirds. How was the date?"

Natasha tossed Peter into the back of the car and smiled sarcastically. "It was great. No thanks to you two. Watch your back Tony." She threatened before linking arms with Steve.

"We'll just walk home." Steve told Tony, walking away with Natasha.

Tony quickly drove away, fearful for his life.

Natasha wrapped her arms around Steve and sighed. "Thank you for tonight. I had a great time."

Steve smiled, "Me too. Sorry there were so many interruptions."

Natasha laughed. "It's okay. We will just have to get them all back."

Steve laughed and kissed Natasha's forehead.

After walking a few more miles in silence Steve pointed at an old building. "Before I was stuck in the ice, I did a show there."

Natasha smiled. "A show?"

Steve sighed. "I forgot you didn't know this...before I was in actual battles, I traveled around America trying to encourage people to join the war."

"So you were like a real life Uncle Sam?" Natasha asked, laughing.

Steve sighed again. "Yeah, kind of."

"So these shows...did you dance? Give speeches? What did you have to do?" She asked, grinning.

"Well. I had dancers. We had a song. They sang while I yelled out encouraging things. Then I took pictures with babies, met some soldiers. It was all really just absolutely humiliating."

Natasha laughed again. "God, I really wish I could see that show."

Steve's eyes widened. "Please don't look for it."

Natasha smirked. "Oh my god. It's on the Internet isn't it."

Steve went red. "No." He lied.

"We're watching it when we get home. No arguing."

Steve shook his head. "Nat, you don't understand just how bad this is."

Natasha laughed. "I think I do. Which is why I have to see it and judge for myself. Don't worry. I won't show the others."

Steve sighed, knowing that she was going to watch it no matter what he did. "Fine. But just know I hated every minute of it."

Just as they were getting close to the facility, it started to rain.

They both broke out into a sprint. Unfortunately, Natasha couldn't run well in her dress so she kept stumbling.

Steve swept her up into his arms and carried her as he ran towards the facility.

When they got there, they were both completely soaked.

Steve set Natasha down and they entered the compound.

"So, how was it?" Clint asked, sitting down in a chair a few feet away from the door with his legs crossed. "Tell me everything." He teased.

Natasha threw her shoe at him and he crawled out of the way. "Screw off Clint." She said, walking past him.

Steve laughed and followed Natasha to her room.

When they got inside, she threw him a pair of sweatpants he had left there one night and pointed to the bathroom.

"I'm gonna go change, be right back."

Steve quickly changed out of his wet suit and waited for Natasha to come out of the bathroom.

She cane out a few minutes later with her hair down and wearing a white tank top with shorts. She grabbed her laptop and sat on her bed.

"Come sit." She told him, patting the spot next to her.

Steve sat besides Natasha and she placed her laptop in between them, searching up the video of Steve.

Of course, she found it with ease.

She placed a hand on Steve's bare chest and rested her head on his shoulder.

"You ready?" She joked.

Steve shook his head. "No."

Natasha pressed play anyways and grabbed Steve's hand.

The video played and she couldn't hold back a smile.

When it ended she looked up at Steve to see his head buried in her hair.

"Is it over yet?" He mumbled.

Natasha laughed. "Yes."

"I told you it was awful."

Natasha shook her head. "It wasn't awful...I thought it was kind of... endearing. It was sweet."

Steve scoffed. "I looked like a fool."

"Maybe, but at least you were a hot fool."

Steve laughed and Natasha tossed her laptop on the chair, crawling onto Steve's lap.

"You think so?" Steve joked.

Natasha hummed in agreement, running her hands over his biceps.

She leaned down to kiss him when a loud voice came through the speaker system.

"Lights out you two. That's enough of that. Cap, maybe you should go back to your room." Tony's voice said.

Natasha threw herself down on the pillow next to Steve. "Oh for fucks sake." She mumbled.

She stood up and grabbed Steve's hand.

"What are we doing?" He asked as she climbed onto her desk so that she could destroy the camera in her room.

"We are gonna make Tony's life miserable for the next few days."

Steve laughed. "Okay."

Tony's voice came through the speaker one more time. "Did you just break my camera? That's going on your tab Red."

Natasha ignored him and started planning with Steve on how to get him back.

So this was meant to be a really short chapter but I started writing it and it ended up nearly 2500 words so here we are.

Anyways. Hopefully you enjoyed this. If anyone's interested in a part two where it's just Steve and Natasha getting back at Tony and the others, let me know.

Besides that, have a good night and please come and comment if you enjoyed! 😁
