Capture the Flag, Not my Heart
Tony decides to make the avengers all do a game of capture the flag. Steve and Natasha are on opposite teams and they keep running into each other during the game. Requested by Kalepaca.
Tony pointed at Steve. "Me and Cap are team captains. I get to pick first."
Everyone raised their eyebrows. "Why?" Natasha asked.
"Because I want to. And because you asked, you my dear friend, are my first pick."
Steve frowned but tried to hide his disappointment. Natasha rolled her eyes.
"Alright fine. I want Clint."
Tony pointed at Thor. "I get Thor."
"Alright, come on Queens." Steve said, pointing at Peter.
Steve sighed and the two teams scattered into different parts of the feild.
Tony had built a huge feild full of old machines so that they're was plenty of room to hide the flag and then also sneak around to get it.
The rules were simple.
Find the flag and don't let anyone stop you from getting it. Weapons were allowed but only ones that would temporarily hurt.
Steve gathered Peter and Clint and worked on a plan.
If they had to do this, then Steve was gonna win.
"Here's the plan. Clint, you'll find a high leverage point and look out for the others, let me know who you see and where they are heading. Peter, you'll search for the flag and avoid getting caught. I'll guard the flag and go after anyone Clint sees."
The two nodded and broke away to begin. Jarvis's voice came over the speaker and counted down. "The game begins in 3, 2, 1." A loud buzzer sounded and the game started.
"Clint, see anything yet?" He asked.
"Not yet Cap. Haven't seen any movement."
"Okay. Watch for Peter too. If you see anyone coming his way, tell him."
"Copy that."
Steve hid behind an old scrap part near their flag and waited.
"Hey Cap, uhh I think I found the flag but they have Mr. Stark and Thor guarding it." Peter said through the intercoms.
"Okay, stay put and wait for them to get distracted or bored, then go for the flag. Clint, any eyes on Natasha?"
"No. I haven't seen her yet. I'd stand on guard though Cap. She could be anywhere."
Steve cursed. "Okay, just keep an eye out for me."
"You got it." Clint said.
Steve stood at the ready. He knew Natasha, if anyone could outsmart him and get the flag, it was her.
She was his weakness.
Clint's voice came over the intercom again and he sighed. "I see her now. She's not even trying to conceal herself, she's walking right towards you."
Steve put his shield down and leaned against the scraps.
"Hey sailor." Natasha said, smirking and walking towards Steve.
Steve held back his smile. "Romanoff...you do realize that you're supposed to not be caught, don't you?"
She shrugged. "I'm supposed to not be stopped. Which I won't be."
Steve raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? What makes you think I won't stop you?"
She towards Steve and placed her arms loosely around his neck. "Just a hunch."
Steve's demeanor slowly shifted as she stepped closer and for a few moments he completely forgot about the game.
She stared into his eyes silently for a few moments and if she was being completely honest, she forgot about the game as well.
"Stop it." He mumbled.
Natasha feigned an innocent look. "Stop what?"
"Don't give me that look."
Natasha smirked. "This one?" She said, stepping even closer.
Steve nodded and closed his eyes.
"Why?"
Steve stuttered for words and sighed. "It's distracting."
"My bad." She said, smirking. She moved even closer and gently took his chin into her hand, pulling it down so their lips were only a few centimeters away. "How about this? Is it distracting?"
Steve nodded, not giving a damn about the flag anymore.
Natasha closed her eyes and Steve did the same, waiting for her lips to touch his.
Except, rather then receiving a kiss, Steve felt a jolting pain in his side and he stumbled back, tripping over something and hitting the ground hard enough to knock the breath out of his lungs.
"Damn it." He cursed as he held his side where Natasha had tazed him.
Natasha grabbed the flag and smirked at Steve. "Sorry Soldier. Better luck next time."
Steve fought through his pain and stood up, chasing after her.
Catching up to her quickly, Steve grabbed her arm and pinned her against a nearby hunk of metal.
"That was dirty." He said.
Natasha shrugged. "It didn't break the rules."
Steve reached for the flag but Natasha held it tightly behind her back. "You aren't gonna get it back that easy." She said, grinning.
"What do I have to do to get it back?" Steve asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Beat me at my own game I suppose."
Steve didn't let her say anything else, giving into her game and his desires, he quickly leaned forward and captured her lips with his.
What had started out as a way to get the flag from her quickly turned into a full blown make out session as Natasha dropped the flag and wrapped her legs around Steve's waist, kissing him back passionately.
Steve wrapped both his arms around Natasha's waist and used the wall behind the to help hold her up.
Natasha moaned and let her hands run through Steve's hair as she kissed him.
"Cap! Status update?" Clint's voice said through Steve's intercom.
Steve sighed and pulled away, breathing heavily. "Occupied." He mumbled before kissing Natasha again.
When they finally separated, Steve didn't even look at the flag that was now laying on the ground.
Natasha smirked. "Damn Rogers. You were supposed to capture the flag, not my lips."
Steve blushed and looked down with a slight smirk. "Yeah, well you captured my heart which I think is against the rules."
Natasha smiled and gently kissed Steve's cheek. "Sounds like we both lost then."
Steve shook his head. "More like we both won."
Natasha glanced over at the flag. "Speaking of winning, what are you going to do about that flag? Obviously you bested me."
Steve shook his head. "Take it, it's more believable that way. Just do me a favor and don't tell Tony I let you take it."
Natasha nodded, picking up the flag. "I won't. What will you tell Clint and Peter?"
Steve shrugged. "That you distracted me and then took the flag."
Natasha laughed. "Okay." She said turning away from him and starting to run back to her base. "And sorry for tasing you!" She yelled back over her shoulder.
Steve laughed and pressed the intercom. "Romanoff has the flag. Sorry guys, she outsmarted me."
At the end of the game everyone met up again and Tony held up the flag in triumph. "Hey losers, want a rematch?"
Clint rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I want a new team."
Peter looked offended. "Hey!"
Clint shook his head. "Not because of you, because of Cap."
Steve looked up.
"Cap over here got distracted and started playing capture the lips with Natasha instead of playing the game."
Natasha smirked and Steve blushed.
Peter looked over at Steve with betrayal and Tony couldn't help but laugh.
"Sorry fellas." Natasha said, grinning, "We just got a little distracted."
Steve smiled at Natasha and laughed, ignoring the arguing that broke out between Clint and Tony.
Natasha walked over to Steve and laughed. "Maybe we should play captured the flag more often."
Steve laughed. "You won't hear any complaints from me."
Hey guys, this is kind of a mess but I enjoyed writing it. Hopefully y'all enjoyed it and maybe got a laugh or two out of it.
