Alluding to the Obvious
Requested by Natasha_Rxgers, after finding out that Steve and Natasha are secretly dating, Tony makes jokes about it all the time to get on their nerves. Can be a part 2 to "I Told You So"
"Do you think Tony's gonna tell?" Steve asked Natasha quietly while they laid in bed.
Natasha sighed, "He might last a little while. I'm not super hopeful though."
Steve nodded, a frown forming on his lips, he turned to face Natasha and paused, "Nat, if everyone finds out...what happens to us?"
Natasha's brows furrowed, "Nothing will happen. It just means we're gonna have to deal with everyone's shit. Mainly Nick's."
Steve sighed in relief. "Oh ok."
Natasha laughed, "What did you think? I was just gonna dump you?" She asked.
Steve shrugged and Natasha leaned over to kiss Steve. "I think I'm in too deep now. You aren't gonna get rid of me that easy." She teased.
Smiling, Steve wrapped his arms around Natasha's body and pulled her closer, burrying his head in her hair as she laughed and leaned into his warmth.
"Goodnight Steve." She said, closing her eyes after a few more minutes.
"Goodnight." Steve whispered.
--------------
The next morning, Steve and Natasha were the first ones downstairs.
They both made some coffee and sat down besides each other on the couch, peacefully waiting for everyone else to get up.
Discreetly holding Natasha's hand under the blanket Steve and her were sharing, Steve rubbed his thumb back and forth along her skin, making her smile for no reason at all.
"Why the hell do you two look so happy?" Clint asked, coming into the living room.
Natasha shrugged and Clint frowned at how close the two were sitting. Deciding that he felt like pissing Natasha off, Clint jumped over the couch and landed in between the couple.
He put his arms around them both and grinned, "What are we watching?"
Natasha elbowed him in the gut and rolled her eyes, "If you don't move I'm going to cut off your hand." She threatened.
"Fine. I'll just go sit with my man Tony. Why is it that Steve can wrap his arm around you, but no one else can?" Clint asked, growing more suspicious of the two.
Tony, having just walked in and heard the conversation, grinned and opened his mouth, "Don't be jealous bird brain, it's probably because you smell."
Clint frowned. "I do not."
"Alright, well then maybe it's because she likes Steve more then you." Tony suggested.
"No way."
Natasha rolled her eyes, "Yes way." She yelled from the couch.
"Natasha likes Steve more then everyone..." Tony mumbled.
Natasha glared at him and stood up from her seat, "Whose making breakfast?" She asked, changing the subject.
"Not me." Clint and Tony said at the same time.
Steve sighed and stood up, "I'll do it. Any signs of Thor and Bruce?" He asked, wondering how many servings he should make.
"Thor is off world and Bruce is sulking somewhere in India." Clint replied.
"Sulking?" Steve asked.
Tony shrugged, "You know, because Romanoff dumped him."
Natasha shook her head and rubbed the bridge of her nose, "Tony how can you break up with someone you aren't even dating?"
"Like this....Clint, I'm breaking up with you." Tony said, turning to Clint, who fell on his knees and screamed in fake agony.
"Why Tony! Why??!!"
Natasha sighed and locked eyes with Steve, wordlessly telling him that she was miserable.
"What do you guys want?" Steve asked, attempting to help Natasha.
"Let's let Nat pick." Clint suggested.
Tony laughed, "She would probably prefer the cook."
Natasha glared at Tony and his laughter ceased. "Waffles?" She suggested.
Clint agreed and then ran upstairs to get something. As soon as he left, Natasha threw the glass cup sitting next to her at Tony's head.
He ducked and looked at her with wide eyes as the cup shattered behind him, "You're going to kill me!"
Natasha nodded, "If you tell him about Steve and I then yeah, I will. The next thing I throw at you won't be a glass." She threatened.
"Woah, what's with the glass," Clint asked as he came back into the room.
"Tony dropped it." Natasha said simply.
Tony didn't dare argue.
Steve finished making the group breakfast and then went to sit beside Natasha at the barstool.
"Hey Natasha, remember Justin? That guy you met at Lila's party?" Clint asked.
Natasha nodded, frowning, the guy had followed her around desperately all night, "Kind of. Why?"
"He wants me to set you two up." Clint replied, making Steve choke on his water.
Natasha shook her head, "No thanks."
Clint frowned, "Why not?"
"I don't have time to date." Natasha replied.
Tony shrugged, "You would if you didn't spend all your free time training with Steve."
Natasha narrowed her eyes at Tony and shook her head. "I'm not going on a date." She told Clint.
"It's too late. I already set it up. It's here at noon, so you can't avoid it."
"Yes I can." Natasha argued.
"Give me a good reason as to why you won't do it." Clint said.
"Because I don't like him!"
Clint rolled his eyes and sat back, "You don't know him well enough to make that judgement."
Tony frowned, "She can't date him!" He suddenly burst out.
Natasha gave him a glare as a warning but it was definitely too late.
"Why?" Clint asked.
"Because." Tony responded, "She's dating someone else."
Clint's eyes shot open, "Who!?"
Tony paused, "Uh....me."
"Shut the hell up Tony," Natasha said, burrying her head in her hands and looking up at Clint, "I'm dating Steve."
Clint looked between the two with wide eyes, "What the fu-"
