CH 77 : The Envoy of Willards

Princess Nandini's POV

"Princess his majesty's condition is still the same. The physicians are taking care of him all the time. Though they said he is out of danger and healing but there was no sign of his waking up" Hanna said as she sighed, "on the other hand, Lady Varusha is making fuss again. She wanted to ask about his majesty's condition and even scolded few maids outside"

I rubbed my temple as I heard the news. What's the problem with this Varusha? Why she is creating troubles around the palace. She is an elderly lady but her behaviour is more psychotic. She is like a mad woman who doesn't know when and how to behave.

"Keep your eyes on her, you must make sure she doesn't pull any problems for me. I have many things in hand to deal with. Right now I don't have time to think about her. So I am giving you the responsibility to you"

"You must not worry princess" Hanna nodded, "I will definitely help you check on her. Let me make a hot ginger tea for you princess, you look stressful. Besides it's still early in the morning. The sun has just spread its light and the birds has not chirped yet"

"I am fine, I am just little tired" I sighed.

"Of course you will be tired. You haven't been sleeping peacefully this days. And last night you returned so late. I will bring the tea" after saying that she walked out of the room.

I sat on bed and looked outside the window. Though the darkness has faded but there wasn't much light to see things clearly. Last night I was busy with the ministers discussing about rebelion. Though I know few things  about the court since father used to talk about it when he was free but I was never into this court political matter. There are things that could easily be understandable but there are many things I couldn't do without a guide.

The situation of the palace has not settled yet the rebellion started so suddenly. This marchant family is really shameless. Their son was the culprit who played with many lives yet they are pretending to be honest and even declaring war against Sagala. Marchant Bilas is not a simple person since he was able to instigate those refugees so easily. He must have used tricks to make them agree.

But what kind of bet he used to get them ready to do whatever he asked. This is not as simple as it shows. I was thinking when Hanna returned with a cup of hot steaming tea.

"Please drink it princess, it will help you relax your body and also refresh your mind" Hanna smiled, "I have specially used fragrant flower petals to make it smell sweet"

I smiled at her efforts, "thank you Hanna" I nodded and took a sip. It was indeed sweet and flavoured. I must say Hanna really knows how to help me when I am tensed. After feeling good, I took bath and changed my cloths. Hanna styled my hair and I looked at the mirror. I need to prepare myself to attend the court. Originally it was Queen's duty but she is sick and resting in her room so it was impossible for her to come out and argue with the ministers. And today's court is also special because one of the member of the rebelion will also there as envoy.

"You don't have to come with me" I said to Hanna, "remember what I said yesterday and keep close eyes to Varusha"

She nodded, "please don't worry princess, I will not let a single chance to pass" her expression was hopeful and determined.

Nodding I walked out of the room to go to the court hall. When I reached there the ministers are also present there. The amount of the people was huge and their attention was shifted towards me. It's really feel weird to experience this without father sitting on throne. My head snapped towards the throne and found the place was empty, cold and not completed. I sighed and faced the people who were waiting for me.

"The court session begin" it was announced loudly and few ministers bowed before stepping forward, "your highness, the matter of the rebellion is important and today an envoy was sent here"

"An envoy?" I smiled, "does they want us to fulfill their demand so they sent an envoy here?" I asked , "since he is here, bring him in the court. I would like to see him"

Suddenly a man appeared in the court followed by palace guards. He looked young, around Dhanuk's age. But his posture was more like a matured old man.

"Your highness this is Brijavor, the envoy" one of the minister said.

"So you are the envoy" I eyed the man named Brijavor. "What kind of demand you are holding to end this rebellion?" I asked directly not beating around the bush.

Brijavor looked quite surprised then replied instantly, "your highness, the only reason this rebellion started was because of the master Taimul. We are afterall refugees and couldn't demand more. What we want is to reunite a father and son. That's all what we wanted"

"Reunite?" I chuckled, "Does Willards feel pity towards Marchent Bilas and wanted to help him get his son?"

"Your highness, Marchent Bilas is afterall a father who want his son back. Even if master Taimul did something unpleasant, shouldn't his majesty be a little kind and give him some punishment instead of caging him for whole life in the darkness? This is all wrong and even though we are refugees, we have humanity and want to help a helpless father" Brijavor replied with a stern face.

"Since when my father needed to learn how to punish a criminal?" I looked coldly at him. "You came here to represent your group just hearing the sided story Marchent Bilas made up? Have you ever thought of considering about learning the whole truth before starting the rebellion?"

"Your highness, we never wanted to rebel. But what happened to Master Taimul is unfair. For him to live in the dark his whole life like this, his majesty's punishment is too harsh and needed to be rethink. There are many people who committed sins but his majesty didn't go after then but put all of the blame to master Taimul, after hearing such thing, how could we stay cool?" Brijavor frowned.

Looking at his determination I suddenly laughed, "looks like living outside the city as refugee all these years has affected your mind. I was thinking how Marchent Bilas able to manipulate you all against Sagala and now you have cleared my confusion. Since willards have such foolish mind, it's not a hard task to use"

Brijavor's expression changed, "your highness, you can't blame us for this. You are insulting our morals"

"Morals?" I asked him, "does willards has a thing called morals? You suddenly heard a person speaking nonsense and you believed it easily without trying to find out the reality. You were even ready to go against Sagala, who gave you place to live, provided you with food and water, who let you reside outside the city gate, who have been taking care of you all these years. You forgot all of those actions and came here to blame the royal law being injustice? Who gave you such right? You couldn't even differentiate right and wrong but came here talking about morals? If Sagala thought about royal morals and refused to provide anything years back then today willards would just be a mere word which never existed in the history"

"Your highness, we didn't mean to put such question, we just wanted to-"

"What Taimul did is a crime which deserves no forgiveness. Do you know why? A life is more important than some relationship which couldn't guide towards light. Taimul's crime dragged many lives down, ruining every path. I want to ask you, where are willards at that time? Why didn't willards came forward when those lives were taken away? Why only today willards realised morality and affection?"

Brijavor looked troubled while answering, "we didn't know, besides capital is not our city and happenings there won't concern us"

I smiled, "since you are so clear about this matter then why are you here? Marchent Bilas is discarded from Sagala. As for the person living in the dark cell might be his son but he is Sagala's criminal. Since Marchent Bilas is out of city, how come the matter of Sagala 's criminal has anything to do with Willards? Don't you think your words aren't sincere enough to even discuss?the meaning of you becoming an envoy to convey your words is pointless"

"Your highness, willards has promised Bilas to help him to get his son. Even though Master Taimul has done wrong, his majesty can punish him but couldn't give such punishment. This rebellion is to reunite a father and his son. Willards will never get back from their words. Since we have promised we will definitely fulfill it" Brijavor said.

I looked at him. I tried to maintain peace between Willard and Sagala but it looked like, it couldn't be maintained now. Since Willards are so daring, then what will happen next will be their own choice.

"You are going against Sagala?" I gritted my teeth.

"Your highness, our only demand is to release Master Taimul and we will move back. If it's not fulfilled then we are forced to continue this rebel" Brijavor said looking straight.

"How dare you going against Sagala?" All the ministers glared at him. I clenched my fist. I had enough, since they are so determined then father please forgive me, I have to change your decision and rules of law.

"Your highness, consider our demand and we promise keep peace in Sagala or -"

"Or? I didn't know mere beggars are dreaming to become a hero in the history"

Hearing the familiar cold voice my head snapped towards towards the door. When I saw a familiar figure I don't know why but suddenly a relief washed over my heart.
