Princess Nandini's POV

Next day....

It has been days since I get out of my room. Now looking around the hall where the maids and other servants are too busy to care about others I sighed. Soma's marriage is going to be the biggest one. It's like the one month is nothing. I walk around to see the surroundings. Flowers are everywhere, including beautiful lamps that were brought. Few are running with cloths in their hands, I guess it was newly ordered for the marriage. I turned to Hanna who was following my lead.

"What about my dress? Is it done? It's already over 15 days" I frowned.

"Princess because of the marriage and there are many royals staying here, all of them ordered for new dresses. So it will be little late before they finally finish the designing. But we can get it before the marriage day"

"Tell them to do it little faster. I don't want my dress to get mixed with others"

"Yes, I will inform them. Princess have you seen second princess's wedding dress? Her highness the Queen of Gualam arrived yesterday too. She was little late at night. Everyone went to see how the wedding dress look like"

"It's just a pair of cloths what's there to look at? Is the dress made of gold?" I shook my head. Soma and I never had such sisterly feeling since we were child. So it's not possible for me to bring the happiness or excitement of younger sister's marriage. Whatever all these are a mere ceremony for me. As long as she don't get in my way, I am fine with anything. I walk towards the side balcony agd stood there watching the guests arriving at the main gate.

"What about Minnagara? Will they come?"

"I haven't got any information about that. I also heard the other maids are gossiping about Minnagara was now engaged in rebel war but how much it is true, I couldn't guarantee"

War? I sighed. Even if the war is small, they couldn't leave it behind and enjoy a ceremony. Unless it was suppressed fully or out of any dagger. But the way they left, I guess it was not that small or an urgent latter wouldn't be sent in rush. I gripped the railing looking above. I wish him to be here.

Since when I started to miss his presence? That cold man always tease me to death. He likes to torture me with his words and actions but still I am longing for him. I closed my eyes shaking my head. I didn't knew I have started to f-

"Princess Nandini" a voice behind me interrupted my thought. I turned around to see the familiar face that I hate to see. Why he is here now? Couldn't he just stay away and not bother me? The smile on his face had me frown. I don't understand how I fell for those smile in the past? Did my eyes went out for vacation when I was chasing him blindly? I should slap myself later for that.

"Your highness" I forced my smile. No matter how much I despise, I couldn't possibly ignore him. It will question my manners.

He nodded walking towards me a little. Hanna took two steps back. He was looking at me with a kind of look I couldn't fathom. What's with him now?

"I heard you were unwell and kept yourself in your room all the time. Are you fine?" He asked with concern in his tone. I frowned at his sudden concern.

"I am alright" I replied shortly.

He nodded again, "if you need, I ask ask the imperial physician that came with me. He will check on you and give you good prescription"

"Your highness there's no need for that. Sagala also has good doctors here and I don't think there's any need to seek for physician from Lothal. You are worrying too much, if there's anything our physicians are there to check" I said frowning at him. Checked by the physician of Lothal? Is he mocking Sagala?

"You have taken my words in wrong way Princess Nandini. I am just sincerely concerned about you. I don't want you to get sick and hurt yourself. But if my words sound inappropriate then I apologise for it" he explained immediately. I never expected the man who used to chase me away would suddenly become this gentle. Well, he is a gentleman but he aas different when he was with me in the past. And now he is behaving like he is the only person I have to concern for.

"Please don't embarrass me saying such thing your highness. If others hears then they would think I am imposing and too arrogant. Besides I don't want other to have any bad idea, please don't say such thing again"

He didn't reply but his eyes lingered on me. Suddenly it travelled down to my body to up to my face again. "I must say you have become beautiful than the last time I saw you. You have changed and I do regret rejecting you that night. I know I hurt you badly but that was something I couldn't refuse, I had to do that for the country" after saying such mindless words he suddenly reached his hand out to touch my face.

I immediately took two steps back with a glare, "Prince Harish don't cross your line. It's inappropriate for a man and woman to have physical touch" I narrowed my eyes on him "also please don't forget that you are engaged and I am about to get married. It will be better if you don't act like this or I wouldn't have any other choice but to tell father about it" I looked at him with disgust. What does he think of himself? Does he takes me as the part Nandini who will kiss the ground he walks? Bastard he even dared to try to touch me.

It looks like he was out of his thoughts as he about to speak when someone called him from behind.

"Your highness?"

I turned my head only to see Shaila was standing behind him. Her eyes were wet as she looked at him with accusations in her eyes. Then get eyes fell on me and it held jealousy in it. I rolled my eyes feeling wronged by this ridiculous couple. Why I have to get bothered by this two? They are just wasting my time.

"His Majesty is searching for you" Shaila said in low tone.

Harish didn't uttered a word and glanced back at me while I turned my head at other side not wanting to see his face anymore. Without any word he left. But Shaila didn't instead she walked towards me with an angry face.

"Princess Nandini, his highness is about marry me, can't you just stay a little away from him. I know you and he has something in the past but please put it aside for now. I am his fiancee and you should stay away and stop seducing him at every chance you get" she scolded with tears in his eyes, "we haven't married yet you are trying to attract him?" She bite her lips.

"Since he is your fiance you should chain him to you so that he wouldn't go around bothering others princess Shaila. To clear your point, I have no interest in him and never will so that you can rest assured. Besides it's not me who went to him, it's him who came to me walking with his own legs" I said and stepped closer, "and don't forget I have short memories to forget anything. Don't we have old debt? Last time you ran away and I couldn't collect it but since you are here now, I will have the chance don't I?" I stepped back and watched her expression changed from red to green then white. Does she thinks I will forget her deeds? I smirked seeing her pale face.

"Besides, I am already an engaged woman, do you think I will chase after your fiance leaving my man? I really pity Lothal's destiny in future" I said and left her there without turning back.

Later that night Hanna made the bed and after reading for a while I closed the book I was reading and went to bed to sleep. But just as I sat down there was a rustle sounds which alerted me. I grabbed my dagger. Two silhouette flew in and bowed. My tensed body relaxed.

"You two have returned?" I asked.

"Yes, master gave a letter for you your highness" one of them said in hard tone and presented a scroll. I took it and looked at it. He sent me letter? I looked at them again.

"What happened to that man you brought back?" I asked.

They looked at eachother, "Master was the one handling his matter your highness. We don't know about it"

I was surprised, "you don't know?"

"He was taken to the master's personal cage. And those who went there never intends to return back again so .." he stopped talking.

I nodded "okay, you two can leave now"

"Yes" then they jumped out of the window and disappeared like a smoke. How they do that? I frowned at my own thought. Shaking my head I opened the scroll and read the content inside. After reading it I burnt it and saw the scroll turning into ashes. I clenched my fist. I thought it was her but.....
