Princess Nandini's POV

"You took long" he said as soon as I stepped inside the tent. I looked to find him gazing at me intensely. It looked like he was waiting for my arrival desperately. I walked further in the room and gestured Hanna to put the plate down on the table. Hanna immediately obeyed the task and left the room.

"Cooking takes time your highness. If you were that eager, I told you to eat food made by the cooks of the kitchen"

He smiled "and I told you I am not interested. I don't like having the same taste all the time. Tasting different things are sometimes good for health. It will give you new experience"

I smiled at him. Of course, you will experience the whole new level of taste. I opened the lid of the plate and brought it to him "since your highness has the desire to have different taste then I guess I won't disappoint you today. Because I really took great care about your taste and made this food"

He looked at the plate "three types of dishes?"

I nodded "yes, they have different flavours so your highness will enjoy different taste" I said assuring him.

He looked unconvinced but nodded his head. I helped him to wash his hand and he started to take bite. He took the first bite and his face twisted. I bit my lips holding back my smile.

"Why is this sour?"

"Your highness, I made it as per your desire. You wanted to taste different flavour so I made it especially for you" I smiled. "please try another one"

He frowned slightly before trying another dish. Just as he took the bite his eyes widened then he glared at me.

"What happened your highness?" I asked faking the innocent face.

"This is spicy" his answer were cold.

"That's another flavour" I smiled. "you can't blame me your highness, this is what you asked. I just obeyed your instructions with extra care. Please try the other one"

Though he reacted twice he didn't gave up but still went for the last recipe. I was quite surprised by his tolerance. For a man to be this patient is something really amazing. The last bite he took made him cough. His face made a disgusting face. I grabbed the plate from his hand and gave him a glass of water.

He shook his head and gazed at the plate before looking at me "is this the retribution of making you cook food?"

"What are you saying your highness? How dare I do such thing? You said you desired to taste different flavours so I had to make what I know. I didn't mean to disrespect you" I told him.

He sighed "fine, I was hard on you to make you cook when you are unwilling"

Is that indirect apologise? I couldn't help but grin at him. Well it's not like he can only play the game. I would reverse the matter as long as I could get the chance.

"If you are done then you can go. I want to rest" he said breaking my trance. I looked at him and he was already prepared to lay down.

"Who said it's over?" I was hurried to stop him.

"You still have something more?" He gave a smile "but my princess I didn't think I could take any more of these stuff"

I suddenly felt guilty. But he has fault too. He made me do things which I don't want so I had to teach him some lessons. But making him stay hungry is not what I want. Especially when it comes to food.

"Your highness you are forgetting, the flavours are not complete yet. There's last one left for you to taste" I said and walked to the table and picked up the bowl placed by the side of plate.

"What's that?" He frowned looking at it.

"Something that will help you have good sleep" I said and opened the lid.

I opened the lid of the bowl and handed to him. He looked at it then looked up. I handed him a spoon and without any word he started to eat. In less then few minutes he finished the bowl which was not small in size. He was quite fast.

"It's sweet" he said at the end. "What's the name of the dish?"

"It's Pala Undrallu your highness" I replied, "I hope you have tasted the different flavours"

He raised an eyebrow, "yes, thanks to the princess for working so hard. I couldn't thank you enough"

I took the bowl from his hand "do you want to drink water your highness?"

"No, it's fine" I was about to turn around when he suddenly grabbed my wrist.

"Where are you going?"

I didn't have the chance to reply when someone barged insude without any information.

"Brother, mother and father has-" Prince Rushil stopped in middle when he saw us. "oh- I apologise for interrupting" he turned around showing his back "I haven't seen anything though"

I rolled my eyes and glared at the man who was holding my hand and didn't seem to have any mood of letting it go either.

"You can just speak Rushil" Devil said.

"I was just here to inform that Father and Mother has reached the capital of Sagala and would be entering the palace tomorrow" Prince Rushil replied.

"They are here, this fast?" Devil frowned. Even it made me frown. The invitation just went few days ago, how come they arrived so fast?

"It seems they had taken the journey before hand" Prince Rushil said again.

"I understand, leave now. Don't disturb me anymore" Prince Rushil rushed out of the tent.

"His majesty and her highness is here already?" I frowned. Though I know father had invited them but I didn't know the purpose.

Devil smiled "isn't it good. Things don't have to wait for long. We could proceed fast with the speed"

"What do you mean by that your highness? I couldn't get your point"

"The point is, it's time for you to finally settled where you belong" there was something in his smile that made my back cold with sweat.

Later father informed us about the arrival of Minnagara King and Queen and had is pack our things to return. Since they were arriving in the palace tomorrow we had to leave today. There wasn't much time and we returned hurriedly.

Princess Soma's POV

"Mother you have to do something" I groaned, "things are going too fast. You sent me there so that I could advance towards Prince Manik. But nothing has happened. He ignored me like I never existed and refused to take any help I had to offer. He was so stubborn even when he is wounded and needed care" I couldn't help but feel restless as I think of the matter.

"Soma you have just returned. What happened to you?" Mother looked at me with displeasure.

"What can I do mother. You said the hunting trip will be a good chance for me to give impression towards the Prince. But the hunting ended up making the Prince wound and father had asked elder sister to take care of him. In such a way how can I built any relationship with his highness. Everytime I tried to get close he would reject me"

Mother sighed "some things couldn't be rushed. You have to understand this. Crown Prince Manik is well reputed and strong man. He wouldn't see you as other princes do. And he doesn't seem like he could be seduced by a beauty easily. So you have take things slowly"

I shook my head "that Nandini is always with him. Mother even if he wanted to she wouldn't let it happen. No matter what she would stick to him all the time. How could others get chances like this? I even made delicious food for him but at the it got rejected by him again saying he wouldn't eat" I huffed. "I wanted to be the one to take care of him when he was wounded but I couldn't. Father would also take Nandini's side all the time. He is biased towards us"

"Soma, before you talk, remember whom you are talking about. Afterall he is your father and elder sister. If others heard you saying such thing, what kind of impression you would leave?" Mother glared at me.

I looked down, "I was wrong mother. I just couldn't satisfy myself with the thought"

She walked to me and patted my shoulder "King and Queen of Minnagara will arrive soon. You father has already gone to welcome them. Last time there wasn't such chance but this time you can win their hearts. If you can take them in your favour then nothing could stop you from succeeding at the end. But you need to keep your patience and work hard for it. Do you understand what I am saying?"

I nodded my head "yes, mother don't worry. I will take care of it. I will accompany her highness when she will be living here. I won't let elder sister grab the opportunity for her"

"I knew you are understanding. Just keep the spirit. Don't lose your temper when something entered your eyes. Always remember only a calm mind could lead to the success"

"Yes, I will remember this mother" I sighed trying to control my emotions. I need to be strong to make myself presentable enough infront of them. This time I couldn't get myself do any wrong.

"Then let's prepare to welcome them. But first get in your room and change yourself. Your dress doesn't look presentable enough. Wear some bright yet cool colour. Your skin complexion would suit you better" she instructed.

I nodded "then I will leave first. I will get changed then go to welcome them at door" I replied before bowing a little and walked out of mother's room.

I really have to win her highness's favour or I will lose to Nandini which I could never let it happen. Becoming the Queen of Minnagara is my dream and I wouldn't let any bitch take it away from me.

Princess Nandini 's POV

"Welcome to Sagala" father smiled as he looked at the couple who get down from the luxurious carriage. We stood at side waiting for them to arrive. King Hemang and Queen Mrinal smiled as they looked at us.

"Thank you for such a grand welcome Omkar" King Hemang hugged father affectionately. Queen Mrinal also hugged the Queen and they shared few words.

"Welcome your highness" I said as soon as her eyes fell on me.

"Thank you Nandini" Queen Mrinal smiled.

"Welcome your highness" Soma and Hansika said together. Before I had any reaction I was suddenly pulled by someone and being hugged to death. I almost jumped in shock.

"Sister Nandini I missed you so much" I heard a cheerful voice. I sighed in heart. I almost forgot that she will be tagging along. I broke the hug and smiled at person infront of me.

"How are you Princess?" I asked pinching her nose playfully.

"I am good Sister Nandini but I missed you so much. I was bored to death after you returned" she poured. Her face was childish and I found it funny. "Then I heard mother and father would be visiting Sagala so I couldn't wait and came along" her smile brightened.

"Looks like Princess Gurnoor become close to Nandini" Queen said as she looked at us.

"Even I am surprised too" Queen Mrinal said. "this girl would always be so lazy in the palace. But look at her now, she is full of energy, she even didn't talk much in the carriage"

"That's because I was saving my energy for sister Nandini" Gurnoor clutched my arm tightly looking mischievously towards her mother.

"You looked like only Nandini is related to you and you wanted to stay here all the time?" Queen Mrinal chuckled.

"Can we do that?" Gurnoor asked excitedly.

Something flashed in Queen Mrinal's eyes but I couldn't understand what. It was swiftly disappeared with a bink of eyes.

"You naughty girl" Queen Mrinal pinched her cheek making her wince.

"Ah...mother..." Gurnoor pouted.

"I think we shall proceed insude now. You must be tired from the journey and it will be better to have rest first before we have meal" Queen suggested.

"Yes, it was a long journey" Queen Mrinal nodded.

"Your highness, this way please. I have prepared room as per your highness's liking. I hope you will have the feeling of homely while staying here" Soma stepped forward with a smile.

"Ah ..what a sweet child" Queen Mrinal nodded "thank you dear"

Soma lead the way and we all followed her. Everyone walked forward leaving Gurnoor and I behind.

"Sister Nandini is it possible to have a room near you?"

I looked at her "why? Are you scared of sleeping alone?"

"It's not that, but I don't like to live alone. It bore me to death when I don't have anyone to chat. If I stay near you, may be I could visit to you whenever I feel alone"

"Since you want I will arrange for one"

"Thank you sister Nandini, I knew you are the best. Anyways have you met elder brother already? I heard he went on hunting with brother Rana and Rushil. But we aren't expecting him to visit Sagala during the hunting. We got the later when we are on the way"

Only if I could tell you. I suddenly felt annoyed when I think of him using me as he pleases. That man is Devil incarnation and would do whatever he likes. Bullying me all the time. But whenever I think of those sweet words it made my heart flatter. The way he touch me and those....

"Sister Nandini" Gurnoor shook me broking my trance.

"Huh?" I looked at her dumbfounded.

"I have been asking you yet you are in daze. What happened? Is everything alright?" She frowned.

I shook my head "it's nothing. I apologise I was thinking something and couldn't hear you clearly"

"It's fine sister Nandini, I was just asking if you met elder brother" she smiled.

I nodded "yes, his highness, we actually went on hunting with him. And returned yesterday when we heard His majesty and her highness will be arriving soon"

She looked surprised "you went on hunting with him? Elder brother is really biased" she pouted, "back then I wanted to go to buy he would always pushed me away saying it's not good for a girl to tag alone or it would be dangerous but here he dragged you with him" she complained like a child.

I smiled "it's because hunting is dangerous. Your brother is concerned about you. Have you forgot your lart experience in the forest. How you get away from it?" I can still imagine that face, crying her heart out in fear. Such a vulnerable scene.

Gurnoor gasped "you are right sister Nandini, I would better stay in palace"

I chuckled "let's go, let me arrange your room first so that you can rest for a while"

She grinned "thank you sister Nandini".

As we turned I bumped onto something making me gaspe. But the person hold me in place keeping a firm hand on my waist. I rubbed my forehead and heard Gurnoor's cheerful tone calling out "Elder brother".

{ Most of the time you guys complain not having enough couple scene in other royal series because it was more focused on establishing the characters strength and drama. So I am focusing on the romantic moments more. But may sometimes you yount get the couple moments but I promise you this story will have more couple moments compared to previous ones }
