Chapter 1: The New Guy
I started my way to the kitchen, looking around for my parents. They were gone of course since they have to get to work early in the mornings. I went to the fridge and grabbed some raspberry yogurt. This was probably the best thing I like to have in the mornings.
I shut the fridge door and grabbed a spoon, sitting at the table. Once getting into the yogurt, I couldn't help but smile a little. The sweet and tangy flavor of raspberry overflowed with emotions of joy.
After eating, I put my spoon in the sink and threw away the yogurt cup. I sighed and went to the front door after grabbing my house key. Opening the door and locking it behind me, I saw how much fog was outside this morning. The feeling of the cold, dead air and the grey skies filled me with a curious feeling.
I have always liked the dull weather, instead of harsh weather or the sun. Glad I had my coat or I would be shivering like crazy. While walking, I saw a...boy at the bus stop. No one ever stood at the bus stop before except me. When I saw the boy, he didn't have a coat on or anything.
He confused me, making me wonder things like 'why is he not cold?' but I brushed off the thoughts. When I made it to the stop, I tried not to look at him and seem weird but I did anyway.
His pale blue eyes sparkled but had a sickening dullness to them as if they were dead. His black and messy hair fell perfectly on his head, every strand in the right spot. His outfit consisted of black jeans, a blank red t-shirt, black and white converse, and a little black over shirt that buttons up. He was so mysterious and dark, yet stunning.
What confused me though was the fact I had never seen him before, he was like the cutest emo boy in the world! I realized that I was drooling, literally while staring at him. I quickly cleaned myself up and looked away, hoping he would not have noticed.
The big yellow bus of despair slowly lurched towards our way and slowed over to us. When stopped, the swinging doors opened, letting us go inside. The new boy went inside first, then me. He moved to a spot near the back of the bus, where some of the popular guys and slutty girls were. He sat alone and looked out the window, quiet.
People were staring at me, grinning. They knew who I was and didn't like me, always being assholes to me. Even the bus driver would look back and wait for me to sit down, grumbling. I looked down glooming, feeling frozen in my spot.
Something unusual happened, I felt a slight tug and I was pulled into a seat, now sitting with...the new guy? I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine, making me feel scared yet attracted to this boy. What was his name? Why did he help me? Did he not know me?
He looked away and looked out the window again, but I listen to him whisper to where only I could hear, "There, safe" but he showed no emotion while saying it. He seemed to distracted with the fog in the trees, sighing.
This new guy who happens to live nearby just saved me from the grinning faces on the bus and I get to sit with him now, the feeling made me have butterflies bumping into the strings of my nervous system, making me feel slightly giddy.
