Chrys's Pov, month 8 almost 9

I was laying in bed, I was drowsy so I stayed in bed. I couldn't fall asleep for the past hour. I gave up and got up carefully. Once I got up, I went downstairs. I saw Rose in the livingroom reading a book. I walked over to her. She must've hear me walking because she looked up from her book.

"Hey Rose" I said, I sat down beside her. She set her book down, "Hey." I nuzzled close to her. I sighed a bit. "You okay?" asked Rose to me. "Can't sleep," I said to her. She hummed in responded. "Heather and Leandre will be here in a few minutes" She said to me. "Okay" I said to her.

The past few months have been a little difficult and stressful for Rose and I. Crystal informed me that she was behind changing Violet's DNA so I could keep her. I'm great full for Crystal doing this. She told me that what happened to me to cause this was unfair. She did warn me that violet might gain an ability but she isn't sure. It's a 50/50 chance of it happening.

I mean if she does, I can help her learn to control it. Mom had visited a couple times to assist us. Rose's mom did the same. I'm glad that they were willing to help us. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. Rose got up and walked over and answered the door. She let Heather and Leandre in and they sat down.

"Hey Chrys, how are you doing?" Asked Heather. "I'm doing fine," I told her with a light smile. We chatted about different things. Until one topic came up. "So do you two have a date for you wedding yet?" Asked leandre. I shook my head no, "We haven't had the chance to talk about it..." "I'm sure you guys will figure out something" said Heather.

I nodded, "yeah..." I leaned against Rose. I feel tired but I can't fall asleep. It's really strange though. She put her arm around me. "So how's little violet doing?" Asked Heather to me. "Allow me to answer that" said Crystal. She was hovering above us in her spirit form. She lands on the ground and looks at Heather and Leandre.

"She's doing fine. As far as I can tell she'll be a beautiful baby girl. There something else but I'd rather save that for when she's born. Now there's a 50/50 shot of her getting a ability from Chrys. If so she'll be a powerful little girl." Said Crystal to them. "Well then, she's going to be very unique." Said leandre. "But wait, Chrys is a demon and angel hybrid too..." said Heather.

"Ahh yes, Violet will be like Chrys with being a hybrid. However, her demon side won't be shown as a wing and eyes. It'll only be her eyes. Her wing will be pure angel." Said Crystal. I suddenly felt a jolt of pain. I winched in pain. "Chrys? What's wrong?" Asked Rose in worry.

"I don't kn-" I started to say. But I felt water going down my leg. My eyes widened as I looked at Rose, "my water broke..." Heather and Leandre was automatically alerted to this and stood up. Crystal went over to us, "We'll have to get you to the hospital now" Rose helped me stand and we went to my police car. Heather and Leandre went to their own car. We headed off towards the hospital.
