Review: 'Swipe Right For A Billionaire.' The title caught my interest because it described something related to dating apps and billionaires—my favorite genre. My assumption was not disappointing when I dived headfirst into the novel; Mindelyn Sie Suberson, our female lead, lost a bet to her handsome best friend, Blake Rhyson, who has his sugar mommy's credit card, registered her on the 'Fever Flings' dating app as per the bet. According to Lyn, it's more than $500 for a shit show equaling her kidney (which I agree with). Finally, after being hesitant, she registers, and voila, it is considered that the spam email from the high-class fancy dating app she missed was her first mistake, or you can say from where this story starts.

When we head to the next chapter, we see Chess, a typical billionaire businessman in the health industry who has his eyes set on one of the branches to take over from his father. Still, his reputation as a heartbreaker does him no good. Thus, his best friend Johan sets him up on a high-class date within two days with the help of his mother and grandmother. Well, it is an hour of need, or you can say karma for him.

Mindelyn is super fuc- eh, super matched. Well, as cliche as it sounds, our hero, whose full name is Chester Nel, residing in South Africa, a whole different continent, seems attractive to Lyn. The insecurities that are part of every woman's life need a best friend like Blake to navigate through. Ray Dalton is another character mentioned who is the love of Lyn's life and is an absolute player who is the reason for her misery, so Blake and Lyn are on a flight to South Africa.

The first impression Lyn had in front of Johan was to fall face-first on the ground. A warm welcome and plans for an afternoon dress fitting for the evening date do scream high class. However, the rivalry and dirty showdowns between Chess and Johan are not good.

Moving to the date, ten chapters later, Lyn and Chess finally meet after Johan pulls a stunt to get close to Lyn in the afternoon, and oh my goodness, our boy Chess is star-struck by her beauty. The date feels sparkly at the start and dwindles to typical talks of likes and dislikes. The date goes into a question-and-answer round, and the intense feelings are described from Chess's side.

The following few chapters are of steamy chemistry, and sparks fly between the leads. The day after, the realization dawned on her that the man she spent the night with was not just anyone but someone who could casually play with the country's GDP. All she did was simply 'Swipe Right For A Billionaire.' The last chapter published for now had the gossip with Shirley, a fitting title of needing a drink.

The book has potential, though the first meeting was overdue, making the chapters in between a bit far-stretching. The book is a slow burn, with the male leads having less frame time together. The book progresses slowly but will further gear up the anticipation for the journey as the plot becomes more and more interesting.

To the Author: I got hooked on your title and cover page as the story is the genre I adore, 'Billionaires.' In between, it felt like the plot was going too slow, which I understand you were trying to build up the anticipation. There has probably been only one encounter with the main leads up until now, their long-awaited first date and a night of passion, so the story is just starting to get into gear.
