When Bad Thoughts Control

TW: ...Does toxic gas count? Blood, injury, being chased by a fluffing monster

He hissed in pain, the stitch in his side was getting gradually worse and he clutched the sword tighter.

Elphaba gasped and tried to force the thorny vines away.

"Romul- I mean, Roman!"

Roman growled, "I'm fine! If I die let Mariel tell them what they need to know!"

And with that, he ran off despite Elphaba's desperate calls.

Roman cut through the brambles, the noxious smell filling his lungs. He coughed, doubling over, and feeling the rush of wings above his head.

The griffin swooped at him, it's claws slicing through his black shirt. He gasped, his heart beating rapidly at the sight of a familiar tower.

The poisonous air burned his lungs, and it stung his eyes. He stumbled as quick as he could to the tower, coughing and choking.

He fell over, scrambling so that he was less of a target to the griffin. He choked out a strangled breath and knocked on the tower door.

Remus opened it, and was kind of disgusted when his crying brother started sobbing and apologising to him, before passing out.

"Eww, PG Prince is here." He said, but concern hummed in his chest. He groaned and dragged his brother inside his tower.

He kicked Roman experimentally. Roman remained unconscious.

A few seconds later, Roman's eyelids fluttered. He sat up just as something rammed into the door.

"Wha-"

"I'll go kill it." Remus said breezily.

He tried to open the door, but something was pushing against it to keep it closed.

"Thorny vines..." Roman muttered

Remus growled and slammed his Morningstar through the door.

The thorn recoiled before attacking through the hole.

Roman stumbled up, and gripped his sword. He slashed at the vines. Remus had to admit that it was a better tool to used than a Morningstar but he continued to slam his Morningstar into the vines.

They eventually retreated.

"That was fun!" Remus exclaimed, patting Roman on the head. Roman made a face, and as he tried to push Remus away, he fell over.

"Dammit."

Remus didn't bother help him up. Roman was stubborn and so was he, no affection other than to disgust him

But...he supposed a little patching up wouldn't count as affection.
