GUESS WHO'S BAAAAAAACK !!!

In case anyone wants to know what it feels like to be a video editor... here's a visual representation of how I felt every time I opened Final Cut Pro for the past two months 💖

ME STARTING THIS EDIT:

ME AFTER REWATCHING IT FOR THE 567TH TIME:

So yeah. We're gonna ignore the fact that it's been 8 months since I got off my ass and edited a video! We're gonna ignore the fact that I'm a little rusty and it kinda shows in this edit!! We're gonna ignore the fact that I had like, four different projects that I started at the beginning of the year and I abandoned them all!!! We're ALSO gonna ignore the fact that I started this in JULY and it's SEPTEMBER!!!!!

ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So... yeah. I don't know how this happened. I saw that you had submitted a form in the multicrossover chapter and I started collecting resources for Melisa and then... it kinda just spiraled from there. But also, when I tell you I've been wanting to make a Finnick & Bex edit since the beginning of fucking time ─ like I actually started one back when I made the PFA trailer (with the extra footage that didn't make the cut) but it was... really bad. Honestly, I'm glad I gave up back then because it really wouldn't have been as good as this one.

All jokes aside, I am pretty proud of how this turned out. Like yes, there are a LOT of mistakes ─ please don't look too closely at any of the manips, I know the cuts aren't perfect but I've been sitting at my computer for like, 5 days straight trying to get this done and I don't want to look at it anymore lmao ─ but considering Sam Claflin doesn't have the best resources... I think I did a pretty good job?? 

On that note, I know not all of Sam's footage is from the Hunger Games but it was literally impossible to make an edit without using footage from other films ☹ I tried to pick clips where he looked similar, but there are a few where he clearly doesn't look like Finnick (+ there's a voiceover with him & his British accent, oops!).

(Also, can Hollywood cast him in more fucking romance movies because Melisa has SO many scenes that I wanted to manip but you can only do so much with the Love, Rosie footage—)

Anyways, Vic, I really really hope you like this! It really was so much fun to make, I feel like I've been in such a rut with video edits and I'm so grateful that Finnick & Bex pulled me out of it. Please let me know what you think! Love you!
