Scoliosis au
Writing this out of spite actually. Also my back McFucking hurts but I don't have anymore meds for it because yeah.

Roman winced a little when he got out of bed. The top part of his back felt as though someone tried to put out a fire with gasoline and it hurt to move much. He sighed as he remembered he'd been another appointment in February for his 6 month check up since his August one had been canceled by Miss Rona.

Not that he cared much. He didn't exactly focus on the pain anymore unless it got to the point he was crying again. Which this time was one of those times.

He took a deep breath as he forced himself to stand up and throw a jacket on over his night clothes because he wanted to be comfortable. He descended down the stairs and went to the living room, where he proceeded to curl up on the couch.

"Hey Ro," Virgil greeted quietly. Roman hummed in response, an arm wrapped around his torso to hold his side. "One of those days?"

Roman nodded in response and allowed Virgil to gently rub his back despite its sensitivity and how he flinched like he was burned. Virgil was careful and patient with Roman.

"Should I go get your comfort blanket and your stuffed kitty?" Virgil asked after a few minutes. Roman nodded, mumbling a please as he tried not to move around much.

"I'll be right back then," Virgil murmured before heading upstairs to get Romans comfort items. They had been given to him by a hospital staff member the day he got his surgery.

Roman put IT on, wanting something mildly humor to watch for a while. Virgil came back with a few pillows, Romans blanket and the kitty stuffy. He made Roman lay down and tucked him in before sitting next to the sad boy.

"Everything will be ok, Ro, I promise.." Virgil murmured.
