Roman was confident he could beat the dragon witch. That was until they it made as dark as they could,by creating a wall of rose thorns. Roman being afraid of the dark didn't help.

"This is unfair!" He called out "what happend to wanting fair fights?!" He yelled trying to locate the villain.

Suddenly he was knocked off his feet by the dragon's tail losing his sword in the process. Roman stood shakely,groaning in pain, roman was then sent hurtling forward straight into the thorns,screaming in pain as his body was scratched and jabbed by the thorns. "Until next time "prince"." The dragon hissed before flying off.

Roman pulled himself out of the slowly disappearing thorns,collapsing to his knees. 'I can't see...' he thought as tears streamed down his face,blood joining the salty liquid. He stood with an immense amount of difficulty, he took a few experimental steps forward before he kicked his sword. 'Where were you about 5 minutes ago.' he leaned down and grabbed the handle before using the sword as a sort of blind man's stick,he began his difficult journey of trying to find his way home.

5 hours later.

"Hey kiddos has roman come back yet?" Patton asked worry lacing his voice. "Nope! My bro's still in the imagination." Remus stated appearing out of nowhere and hanging off the ceiling. "He's been in there for 7 hours now. This is quite unlike his usual quests which last around 3 hours at most." Logan said adjusting his glasses. "I don't think we should look for him. As protecter of the ego...I sense something is wrong..." "come to think of it something does feel off with my little bro." Remus agreed with the snake persona as he fell off the ceiling.

"Well let's go find princey." Virgil said as he got off the couch.

Meanwhile

Roman slumped against a tree? He felt bark and if he reached up he felt leaves...yeah a tree. He slid the the ground dropping his sword. He leaned his head against  the trunk. "How long have I been here?" He mumbled, "I just wanna go home...I won't be able to see v-virgil or remus again.."he mumbled with tears flowing down his face once again.

"-O-AM" His head perked up. "V-virgil...?" "ROMAN!?!" He stood up with the help of the tree before stumbling towards the source. "V-Virgil!" He called out. "Ro!" "Remus? REMUS WHERE ARE YOU?!" He cried out he heard multiple footsteps. "R-remus?" He asked anxiously. "Roman! oh god what happend to your eyes?" He could tell virgil was close to tears as he cupped Roman's face in his hands."vee...I can't see..." he muttered. He was suddenly pulled into a tight embrace. He wrapped his arms around them recognizing the familiar feeling of his boyfriend's hoodie and hugged him tighter.

"How did this happen?" He recognized Logan's  voice. "Thorns...dragon witch..." is all he replied with. "FUCKING BITCH!!" He heard his brother yell causing him to flinch and hide in his boyfriend's shoulder. "Remus your scaring him." Patton noted taking a look at the prince.

"Shit..sorry ro.. " remus muttered. Roman turned his head towards the source of his voice and reached his hand out,remus smiled and took Roman's hand. Roman smiled slightly and used this to guide him to his brother giving him a hug.

30 minutes later in the mind palace. (Sorry for all the Time skips)

Roman sat in virgil's lap in the common room. "So how don't we get his sight back?" Janus asked from the armchair.

"We could talk with the dragon witch?" Patton said

"The dragon witch doesn't talk. They fight." Remus spat.

"Well what do you suggest?!" Janus exclaimed.

"Emile has healing powers dipshit." Remus stated.

"Can he heal something this big?"logan questioned.

Remus groaned and summoned emile causing him to squeak as he arrived. "Hey! What can I help with?" He smiled brightly. Patton pointed to roman who was laying his head on virgil's shoulder,curling up into his warmth. "Hey roman you ok?" He asked. Roman,who wasn't paying attention at all, shot his head up "w-who's there?" He questioned.

His eyes where welded shut with scratches and scars. "Oh god..."emile whispered under his breathe. "Hey calm down baby,it's just emile...." virgil said grabbing Roman's hand and rubbing circles on his back.

Emile looked towards remus. "He may need glasses or some sort of support to help him see clearly,and it'll hurt slightly due to it being his eyes." "Just aslong as he can see again." Remus said,looking towards his brother sadly.

Emile nodded before turning to virgil. " you'll need to hold him still, roman don't move as much as possible ok?" Roman nodded

Emile raised his hands, they started emitting a pink glow Roman's eyes soon taking up the same pinkish glow. Roman gritted his teeth and squeezed virgil's hand. The scars holding Roman's eyes closed slowly vanished, the cuts fading away.

After emile finished,roman tried to open his eyes. He succeeded but he saw a very blurry version of virgil "vee? You're blurry." He giggled.

" What prescription glasses should he use?"  Logan asked. Emile thought for a minute before summoning a pair of rounded gold rimmed glasses. Placing them on Roman's face who looked at them confused,before looking around and smiling brightly. "I CAN SEE!" He exclaimed. The others smiled brightly before virgil brought roman in for a kiss

Roman smiled into the kiss,kissing back. Virgil pulled back "you look adorable." He smiled.
