Roman quietly sneaked past his older brothers' beds, Remus opting to sleep on the table. He quietly grabbed his dad's needle before leaving the house.

He smiled, and quietly picked up speed, his bag rustling at his side.He was going to shove the cake in remus' face. show him he's capable.

The human had gone to sleep hours ago, should've been flat out as Roman appeared behind the knife rack. He peaked round the obstacle before spotting his prize next to the toaster. He ran across the surface, smiling wider. He quickly grabbed acouple crumbs stuffing them in his bag before heading back to the hole.
He was nearly to the knife rack when a cup was slammed over him and the light was turned on. Roman fell to the floor, looking up with tears in his eyes as the human stared at him in shock.
"Oh my god..." the human muttered. "Oh my god you're so tiny and adorable!" They squealed.

They knelt by the counter top till they where eye level with Roman. "Can you speak?" Roman glared at them best he could with his heart racing out his chest. "hmm can you understand me?" They asked. Roman showed him the middle finger. The human's brows furrowed. "Wow you're a rude little insect aren't you?"

Insect?! The human must have noticed his offended look because he said "That's what you guys are categorized as. Insects. Scientists labelled your kind something to do with bug-people." Scientists...They where discovered...Made public...WTF?!

"So you alone?" Roman glared at him and nodded. He was not putting his family in danger. The human turned round and began rummaging through a cupboard. Roman looked to the side and saw remus standing there, shocked with tears running down his face. He made a move to come towards Roman.

Roman shot up and shook his head no, putting his hands on the glass. He looked at Remus pleadingly.'Run.' He mouthed. 'Find a new home.' Remus looked outraged but  quickly ran back to the walls when the human reappeared. He had a clear plastic container with a lid, a small clasp at the top that made an opening. The human quickly lifted the cup and grabbed Roman roughly, causing him to gasp in pain as his leg was crushed.He was dropped into the box and the lid was secured on. Roman Curled up in the corner,in pain and scared. The human left a minute later placing a bowl of water ontop of the box.

Tears ran down Roman's face as the human closed their bedroom door. He curled in on himself whimpering and sobbing quietly,clutching his leg to his chest.

Banging got his attention and he turned his head to see his papa and virgil there, Logan ahead keeping lookout whilst his dad hugged remus behind them. "Roman can you hear us?!" His papa pestered, his hetrochromic eyes filled with fear. Roman nodded." Are you hurt?" Virgil questioned. Roman nodded again gesturing to his leg.

"oh my poor baby..." He saw his dad mouth. "Keep calm ok sweetie? We're going to get you out. " His papa tried to reassure him. Roman just nodded and looked ahead.Feeling light headed.

He leaned his head against the plastic as his eyes drooped."HEY! NO! ROMAN STAY AWAKE!" Virgil yelled,banging onnthe tupperware ,gaining Logan's attention and causing him to look back in panic. Janus was kicking at a crack he managed to make in the plastic.

Roman looked ahead and heard the human's coming back so he pointed to it. "Shit...Papa hurry!" Virgil sobbed helping his papa as Roman grew more tired. "No! Roman stay awake baby!" His dad pleaded from next to his papa as he began helping.

The plastic broke,the flimsy ceramic bedding at the force. Janus quickly climbed in and grabbed his youngest,who was losing consciousness quickly. As soon as Janus was out the tub, the human's door opened. He looked up and saw 5 tiny people all running across the countertops, one of them carrying his capture. "Hey!" He ran over and barely missed Logan as they all ran back into the wall. Running straight to there home.

"Roman,sweetie, keep your eyes open ok? Focus on papa!" His papa urged as they set him on his bed. He blinked unseeingly at him. "Logan get your brothers out." Their dad said quietly as his husband began working on stopping the bleeding. Logan nodded as tears welled in his eyes dragging his younger brother's out the room, both of them kicking and screaming wanting to be there for their baby brother.

It was hours till their dad came in and told them he was ok but he needed rest. The boys nodded and headed to their rooms, Remus returning to his bed that was opposite Roman's only to find his papa sat with Roman's head on his lap,his leg heavily bandaged. Remus wandered over to his brother's bed, being careful not to jostle his twin's leg he laid his head over Roman's heart.

Janus smiled softly at his boys.Before sighing and laying his head back."hey papa.." A small voice broke his train of thought he smiled lightly "Yes remus?" "We need to move..." He muttered, lightly playing with the buttons on Roman's shirt. "We do...we will soon..."
