Roleplay 1

Jenny's hands, enclosed in a pair of suffocatingly warm winter mittens instead of her usual thin, elbow-length princess gloves, feel heavy and tired as she wanders through the city. Her usual gloves are being repaired after having snagged onto a tree and Jenny doesn't like her temporary ones at all. They're too scratchy, plus, they aren't purple. Or sparkly. Being only six years old, Jenny doesn't care much for bland, boring colors. She tugs at her mittens before the fresh cookies displayed in the window of a bakery catches her attention. Jenny doesn't have any money with her to buy anything, so she kneels on the bench outside the window, pressing her face up to the glass and watching the baker, who has the power of levitation, move ingredients around with his mind.

Cove, being usual Cove, is sitting outside of her local coffee shop with a Kindle in one hand and a hot mocha in the other. She was wearing a baby pink shin-length down jacket and a knitted hat, and then she saw a notification on her cell phone. 'Come quick,' it said. 'Olive's in trouble. She's at the abandoned warehouse named "Bob's Cr8tes."' Cove's eyes widen and rushes inside to "buy" a donut. She creates an illusion, making her invisible, takes a donut behind the cashier counter, and leaves the shop, reappearing outside their door. A perk of having the power to manipulate light. She calls a taxi, and about after what seemed like an hour, the driver asks "where you wanna go?" She hastily replied "Bob's Cr8tes". The driver made a face, as if he is suggesting not to go, but Cove didn't hint anything at him because the adrenaline put her in a malaise, and it didn't help when her friend was rushing her on the phone.

Nia is bored. Very bored. She is sitting on a bench outside, taking in the snow-filled view. She hates winter. Nothing to do. She waves her hand and blows the snow around. With her lead on the killers she had gotten a few days ago gone, she has nothing. As she gets up from the bench and starts walking to a local coffee shop, she sees a girl rushing into the store and wait- did she disappear? The girl appears again, a donut in hand, and starts rushing off. 'Finally, some excitement', Nia thought. She quickly gets on her bike and starts following the car. That girl isn't normal. At all. And Nia's gonna find out what's going on.

Jenny quickly gets bored with watching the baker- after all, what good is watching cookies and cake and pastries get made when you're not even gonna eat them? She tugs at her stuffy mittens again. They keep her hands warm, sure, but Jenny feels unsafe without her trustworthy purple sparkly gloves. She's about to head back home when she sees Nia- an older girl Jenny knew from around the city- chasing after a taxi on her bike. That's interesting. It's probably some cool teenager thing I'm too young to understand, chasing cars... thinks Jenny wishfully.Jenny has a moment's indecision and shyness before she takes off running after Nia, waving a mittened hand at the older girl. "Hey!" Jenny shouts, stumbling over her feet, knee-deep in the quickly falling snow. "Nia! Niaaaa!"

Cove throws the cash to the driver and opens the car door. She tries to make as little noise as possible when running to the entrance of the warehouse. "I wish I could manipulate sound waves," she muttered and darts between wooden carts and inspects the warehouse. Her eyes widen as she sees Olive strapped to the wooden chair, her tears flowing down her cheeks and chin. A group of men is circled around her, holding knives and handguns. She was about to cast a flood to the warehouse but heard some crates clattering. She darts her eyes around the parking lot and spots a brown-haired girl. " Who are you?" Cove demands. "Are you with them?"

Yukako scans for anyone who could walk up and catch her tresspassing before diving behind another box, a few feet further down the row. The warehouse had been abandoned soon after her mother had sent her tupperware collection there for storage -- and for whatever reason, after she asked to send them back, they still hadn't returned the containers even after three months in the little warehouse just up the street. It would only be fair for her to take them back herself, even if she had to break a few laws along the way.She throws herself to the ground when she hears the shriek of a young girl. It sounds as if she's being tortured, or perhaps kidnapped. After a long moment of consideration, she smiles, filing the sound away to plant in others' minds later on. It was a genius security system, really, but she wouldn't let it throw her off.

Asha sat on top of a rooftop, glaring at her stupid hands. She didn't care if someone found her, she was shrouded in a black cloak that hid her entire body. She hated that she had to hide - had to hide her abilities. But she was dangerous - and being dangerous came with a price.
The price of hiding. She knew she was a villain, but she didn't feel like one, even though she was staring at the ruins of her charred, burned house. She looked around, looking down at the ground before unsnapping her cloak, folding it, and taking off her shoes. She unbuttoned the punk-style black vest, and laid them all on the ground.Then...She leaped off the building

Nia's on the trail of the girl, when she hears her name being called. She turns around. "Jenny? What are you- UGH. You made me lose that girl! She clasps her hands together and kneels down to Jenny. "What." She looks back, to see if she could find the girl. To her dismay, the car was fading out of view. She quickly memorized the license plate. 6543O2. She would get to the bottom of this.

Jenny gasps for breath. Running is hard. "I'm- I'm sorry," she said timidly, tugging at her mittens again and looking down at the snow-covered concrete. Teenagers, up close, were intimidating. Jenny wasn't sure what she had done wrong, but if Nia was unhappy, then it must've been bad. "I just saw you and wanted to say hi... I'm sorry, Nia."

Asha landed on her feet, even though they stung. "Ow," she muttered. "Let's try that again. " She tucked her prizes away under shirt, and went back up the building stairs. It took a while, but she finally got up the stairs. She pick up her cloak off the ground, and wrapped it around her shoulders, longing for the freezing cold wind. She took it off again and it dropped to the ground, standing on the edge of the building and unfolding her prizes. A black feather dropped to the ground, and she picked it up and threw it off the building. Then, she flung herself into the air, not caring if she died.

Nia immediately softened. She didn't want to lose a friend, even if she was 6. "I'm sorry. How about this. You wanna help crack a mystery? It's just SO boring in the city." She hoped this would get Jenny's attention. 6543O2. Maybe Jenny could help her. She would never say this, but Jenny kinda could intimidate her. Having the power to suck away life forces... she had to be nice."After all, what good is watching pastries get made when you're not even gonna eat them?"

Cove squirms as more screams come from Olive. She turns invisible and casts a flood upon the group of men. As they get distracted by the water with perplexed faces that almost made Cove laugh (but then reminded her what she was supposed to do here) and ran to Olive to get her out of her restraints. "Don't worry, it's Cove. I'm invisible right now. And run. Call a taxi and go home. I'll take care of them." Olive nods to a crate (which almost made Cove laugh again), and she ran while Cove sprayed the men with water. As her invisibility wears off, she kicks and punches the men, all while stealing their guns and knives, threatening the men while calling the police. When the police took care of everything, she went home to hot cocoa (an alternative to coffee if she was craving it at night) and texts her friend, telling her Olive was rescued.

Asha lifted herself in the air, her wings stretching and freeing themselves. she breathed in the cold, frozen air, and looked down. She flew up higher, taking a chance and diving down. she saw a girl disappear and reappear, and she longed for a chance to see her closer, but didn't dare. The world was a dangerous place. Wings got taken away, if they could catch you. Asha stared at her red-hot, flaming hands, and clenched them tight. She may have that ability, but she didn't have to use it. It didn't define her.Even though she was a murderer.

Jenny picks at a loose string in her mittens and looks up at Nia, a wide grin spreading across her face. This is too good to be true! Jenny doesn't get invited to do stuff very often, as teenagers usually don't pay attention to her and kids her own age thinks she's a witch. "A mystery?" squeals Jenny, laughing and rubbing her mittened hands together. "Yes, please!"

Violet sulks around her makeshift shelter. She was so close to getting the serial killer! Why wouldn't her parents let her kill someone for once and prove she wasn't a failure? She sighs and sits down on the cold floor, catching her reflection in a shard of glass. Her wavy black hair blows in the wind as she grimaces at her face. Violet's usually bright purple eyes are dulled, her naturally pink lips have begun to crack, and her headband is filthy. She looks up as she hears a wwhhhoosh overhead. There, she spots a girl with yellow hair flying amongst the falling snow. Violet smirks and aims her bow. She's found her next target.

Asha looked down at a girl with a bow pointed at her. She shrieked and threw a fireball at her, flying up high into the clouds. Her heart was pounding, and she had to keep herself from crying as she dived back down onto the building where her cloak was. She put her cloak over her shoulders, slipped on her boots, and pulled a hood over her face and hair. She put on her vest, and sighed, jumping off the builing again and landing on her feet. Gravity was different for her. For a normal human, that would be a fall to the death, but for her, it merely stung her feet. She looked around to see if anyone had noticed, but she didn't see anyone. She pulled her hair into her cloak, and tredged away.

Violet gasps as a monstrous ball of fire hurtles at her. She rolls away just as the flames set her shelter on fire. Quickly, she nocks a Water Arrow in her bow and extinguishes the fire just in time. She wipes a bead of sweat off her forehead. A moment longer and the smoke would alert nearby enemies of a presence. She smiles as a mental string tugs her mind. The silly girl. She'd shot two arrows. One as a distraction, and one that would take some information from her mind and give it to Violet. And the latter hit the girl. Elizabeth Asha Olympian, hmm? Violet muses mentally. Let's see what you're up to. Then, she gathers some energy to fly towards the string's destination.

Asha hopped to her house on one foot. Something was bothering her, and she wasn't sure if she'd been hit by the arrow or not. She pulled open her drainage pipe passage, and climbed in, walking through the dirty murkiness on one foot. Her head was spinning, and she felt her way along the walls as if she were blind. Finally, she reached the place she called home - or, rather, the place to get to her home. She walked a bit farther before pulling out a brickin the wall, which revealed the small underground hideput she called home. She lit a lamp with her fingertips and traced her hands along the bumpy wall, then sitting down on her bed and pulling off her boot. A small, needle-like arrow was stuck in her ankle, and it was turning her skin black around the edges. She swore and removed it, crunching it beneath her feet, then lighting up her fingers and wincing as she pressed them down on the wound. It hurt, but it would burn out any poison that the arrow had been dipped with. "Screw it," she whined, trying and failing to get up. She flopped down on her bed and opened her favorite book, turning the pages to her favorite spot, where the main character found out she was a Eaglekin. It was only a story, but it had an interesting affect on the way she saw things. Asha saw things in the mind of an author, not in the mind of a reader. She flipped the page, where she saw the tiny scorch mark she'd left when she accidentally - no. Not going there. She threw the book at the wall, not caring if it broke or not. She pulled a sodapop out of a cabinet next to her and drank it, thankful for the little energy she had.

Violet lands as a loud thunk reverberates around the walls. She winces as her fingers re-form painfully. Sure, she'd phased from some walls to follow the girl, and sure, it kinda hurt, but if her hunch was correct, she would be well rewarded for her discovery. She crouches down, listening to the sssklick! of a can opening, then the sound of its contents being drained. The moment she was certain this "Asha" character was not as threatening as she'd assumed, she leapt out, pointing a dagger directly between the girl's eyes. Violet's purple irises glinted as she commanded, "Stay where you are, and tell me who you are, you monster!"

Asha glared up at the violet-eyed girl. " Go ahead, kill me. I don't care. I'm going to die anyways, why not now? I can just let you live with the guilt of killing me, punk. That would be my reward. Oh, this is going to be fun! "She pressed her white hot hands against the dagger, melting it."Now, how are you going to kill me, though? Such a pity. Your dagger is broken."Asha stared up at her again. " Go ahead... Violet, " she spat.

Violet stumbles backwards. "How... how do you know my name?" she demands, throwing her melted knife aside. Her headband glows with unearthly power as her hair fans out behind her, electricity crackling behind her. "Nevermind that..." she says, casing the girl in a cage of lightning. "You'll be gone soon anyways."Violet closed her eyes and unleashed the storm.

Asha unfolded her wings, throwing off her cloak, her eyes gliNting with hatred. She picked up her book. She stepped through the cage of lightning. "Oh... Forgot to mention. I'm fireproof, and that includes electricity. Come back tomorrow for more entertainment! Please, insult me more. Also... Your name is pretty obvious, you freak. I mean, no offense, but who else has violet eyes? Oh please, try and kill me. I can make whatever you do to me, a thousand times worse on you. I may be a monster, but I'm also human. I can kill if I please."

"Come on!" She pulls Jenny along, and gets on her bike. "Come on! Get on your bike!" She starts going fast with Jenny, trying to find the car. "Okay. We're tailing a car. The license plate is 6543O2. It's a Taxi. I saw a girl turning invisible, and literally flying to the car! And we're gonna find out what's up. You ready?"She keeps herself steady. Nia doesn't like using her powers. Not many people know about them, not even Jenny. But sometimes, you need a little boost. Nia propels them forward, the car coming in view. But its empty. And that doesn't stop her. Not at all.

Asha unfurled her wings. "Come on, kid. This place is going to blow any second."She grabbed Violet's wrist, not caring if her hands were hot or not. If Violet's wrists were burned, she deserved it. Asha glared at her, and then pulled her out of her old house just as it blew up."Here, punk. Get out of here, and if I ever see your face again...""Let's just say... You don't want that to happen."

The weak, pitiful sound of a single smoke detector began to echo through the empty warehouse, and Yukako frowned, peering out of the narrow, crusted window to take stock of the situation. Indeed, there was a fire. It was consuming a small, wooden house -- probably some sort of freak stove accident.Yes, it was beautiful, and terrifying, and spreading faster with each passing second. And it was coming right towards the warehouse. There was no time to think -- she shoved her elbow into the glass, wincing when the glass didn't break. It was too thick, obviously to stop people from stealing from the building -- seemed kind of ironic, now. The back door was surely only a few feet away from the fire, at this point -- the only thing she could do was hope for someone to pass by. "ANYONE THERE!?" she yelled.

Asha shoved the girl out of the way. "Get out of here, this place is going to blow!"She pulled the cloak closer over her wings, taking a breath of the smoky air and setting Violet down . "Go. Just... Go. You won't be seeing anything more of me. I'm moving. Goodbye." Asha threw off her cape, unfurling her black wings and jumping into thw sky. Her foot throbbed, but it felt good to fly free.
